I am Never able to get the medicine needed. I called in refills and when I went to get them they filled stuff that I did not call in and I was missing one that I needed and it was not even filled. I was also told that one of them was on back order and I could check at Walgreens or CVS but I decided to call mountain city pharmacy that is a part of Boone Drug they had what was needed and filled it with no problem. Deerfield did not even offer to check with there other locations to keep there business. so I drove to mountain city pharmacy and they was very nice and was able to get me what was needed. It’s really sad that they was so useless at Deerfield to help a customer. I think it is time to move my medication to a place worth getting my business. They employees at Deerfield just don’t care like they once did.

There is always an issue with getting my prescriptions in a timely manner. Staff is not always helpful and one of the pharmacists even told me that “they weren’t my doctor’s office” when I asked how long it would take for the prescription to be received. I even tried to switch my regular meds to Amazon pharmacy, but the pharmacy refused to send my prescriptions

By far the slowest most unorganized pharmacies ever. Always have to order meds ...always on backorder. You can call they say we have plenty then guess what ...they're out.

This pharmacy is an approved vendor for durable medical equipment. I am trying to order a breast pump--which my insurance company covers in my third trimester and which I have a prescription for. I went to the pharmacy twice to try and order it. The first time, the woman at the desk told me to get a prescription for it before ordering (which I then did) and that my insurance company wouldn't cover the pump until after birth (which is not true). When I returned to the pharmacy with the required prescription, she said it is the pharmacy's policy to not order a pump until after the birth of the baby.I think this is a terrible policy--I would like the pump ahead of time to learn how to use it, rather than wait until I am newly postpartum with a newborn. The reasoning for their policy is not clear to me. When I tried to ask about which pumps would be available, the woman at the desk told me that "all of them" would be available. In this time of supply chain issues, and hearing from companies that make pumps that there are sometimes delays--I don't trust this information.My experience with this pharmacy is that they are unhelpful. If you can, look elsewhere for your needs.

Update! Two different managers contacted me and worked to resolve my complaint.They held the Mask Mate I selected to replace the defective one AND gave me the money back, although I insisted that wasn't necessary. Even the cashier (different than the initial one) was pleasant and helpful this time. Thank You Boone Drug on Deerfield Road, for rectifying an unpleasant customer experience! 😊My sister bought a Mask Mate for me at this store; I opened it yesterday to wear it for the first time and it was broken. I stopped in yesterday to see if they would exchange it; they would not, without a receipt. They could easily have checked the tag/UPC on the package it came in (that I had) and seen that it came from their store. They had a row of these on hand, so could have exchanged it. Only $5.99, but poor customer service with not exchanging the defective Mask Mate. It was a gift, so of course I didn't have a receipt. I have shopped here often, but will not do so again.

We were treated horrible, it was embarrassing and awful experience, I would advice no one to go there! Especially someone coming from another state. They said they would not assist us. Just all around bad experience from the pharmacist Dan! We use word of mouth to spread the word of great service and the pharmacist was unprofessional in the way he handled the situation.

Boone Drugs Deerfield is like most businesses in Boone, the county (and surrounding) in general, unusually helpful, supportive people.. doesn't feel like a national chain. Boone car (or bike) mechanics, appliance repair, gas stations & drug clinics, local police & attys, local bars, schools, building inspectors, or drivers, it's a remarkable place. I grew up south of Baltimore, very grateful Fate (Guess I do believe in God) led me here...

I try to support businesses owned by local folks, and Boone Drug at Deerfield has been my choice for years. The staff throughout the store are always helpful, friendly and professional. Recently, I was out of the High Country and running out of a prescription. One call to Boone Drug @ Deerfield a lovely employee was ready and eager to assist and ensured that my meds were promptly shipped so that I was covered. I also appreciate the ability to order online and the phone calls they make to customers. Thank you Boone Drug & to all of the employees who make exemplary and personal service a reality.

I looked at CVS, Walgreens, and Boone Drug for a certain medication and Boone Drug had it in stock and it was more affordable! Boone Drug at Deerfield also has a great selection of gifts, I got my Mother's and Father's Day gifts to my parents from here this year. I will definitely be returning!

I went in for a jug of distilled water. They wasn't any on the shelf so the druggist, himself, went downstairs and carried some up for me. There's also a very nice gift section, although some things seem overpriced. The drugstore has been in business for 100 years, however, so I don't think you'll regret going.

The compassionate and prompt service I received was so appreciated. They delivered medication to my sick child very quickly. Before any large pharmacy would even answer my call, this local business had a prescription at her door!

this location doesn't know how to respect the privacy of the customer and read scripts. They need to think about the fact that every month doesn't contain 30 days & before they tell someone in need of medicine that their "meds are too soon" to be filled, they need to do the math themselves and when asked by the patient to the call the doctor they should call the doctor. Up to this point I've had good experiences, however I'm not sure if I will ever return to this location again due to the unprofessionalism & disrespect I received today from one of the employees. Definitely not worth the hastle of going there..

Great people who really seem to care about the local community. If you have any questions the staff is happy to help in any way that they can. Though it can take a while to get prescriptions filled, I definitely prefer such a pharmacy to CVS, Walmart, or other such places.

Friendly homey star of a local pharmacy chain where everyone knows your name and you can purchase the local Sourdough Lady's sweet cinnamon rolls. Resembles a country variety store with everything from walking shoes to home decor. Love it!

I have been a PAYING Customer at DeerField Pharmacy for over 4 years. I don't know what has changed over the past couple of months. A once Friendly and Accommodating staff has become Judgmental of their Customers...and a little Self Righteous. Not everyone that needs Antibiotics have a Sexually Transmitted Disease..Not everyone that needs Painkillers are Drug Addicts. Nor do we count the days between refills. Don't try and embarrass a CUSTOMER by calling them out in front of other customers and staff."You just had a script filled 14 days ago"...when it's actually been 22 days..and I just left my Doctors office and THE DOCTOR wrote a NEW script. If DEERFIELD has a problem filling a script..CALL THE DOCTOR THAT WROTE THE SCRIPT !! Boone Drug is NOT the only Pharmacy in Boone, yet, They treat their customers as if They are doing the CUSTOMER a FAVOR ..NO...its not a FAVOR..Boone Drug is being PAID to perform a SERVICE for a CUSTOMER.After being cut off in Mid-Sentence,TWICE, on two different visits, explaining to their Staff, " I can't take XXX medicine made by ZZZ Pharmaceutical "...and being told by Staff.." We have that information on file !"...OK...you have it on file, I will not BOTHER you with this info again ..Well, today I have my script filled...it's the "wrong" prescription. I ask for the correct script and get an EARFUL of how "it's my responsibility" to notify Staff of my Med-Allergies...and Do I realize that they had to take extra time to fill the Script a second time ! ...uh..OK...I tried telling you the last two visits...and was told..WE HAVE THAT INFO ON FILE ! GEEZZZZ!! Make up your mind...Is it the Prescription you don't like...or the customer in Bib Overalls and work boots??I guess DEERFIELD has become Judge and Jury...and those "Ole Dumb" Doctors across the road don't know what they are doing or what Medicines they are Prescribing..How often they Prescribe them.?? I will not allow DeerField to do me any more FAVORS...I'll take my BUSINESS to someone that appreciates it.When any Pharmacy has a question about the Meds Prescribe by a Doctor...CALL THAT DOCTOR !! If you have something to say to a Customer, show a little respect, and pull the customer off to the side and Talk privately. Maybe in Florida its appropriate to LOUD MOUTH and show off, but around here we show a bit of respect. If you dont want to Fill CERTAIN Medications...then DONT ! Put a sign up...WE DONT FILL "this" DRUG PRESCRIPTION. If you have decided that ALL people taking "XXX" prescription are BAD PEOPLE...then you are in the wrong business. Not only do you insult your CUSTOMER, but you insult the Doctors writing the Scripts. I think you need to take a step back, take a deep breath, count to ten. Are you really that much "better" than your customers...better than the Doctors, that write the Scripts, that you fill, that PAYS YOUR BILLS ??#NOTE# my "wrong" script was due to the Pharmaceutical Manufacture. Different Pharmaceuticals make the same Drug...I can only take XXX drug made by YYY Pharmaceutical. If made by ZZZ Pharmaceutical, I get severe headaches. At no time was I given the WRONG drug...DeerField filled the Script with the CORRECT drug... It was just made by the Pharmaceutical, (ZZZ), that causes me severe headaches.You try and support LOCAL Business over the BIG BOYS...and this is what ya get...Very Disappointing.
