I spent a considerable amount of time in this awesome store smelling the many spices, teas, and honey! The staff are really knowledgeable and friendly! I highly recommend that you go visit! Corinne’s suggestions for the various ways to use the spices were super helpful and I can’t wait to try them! She is amazing! I left with many goodies to try.

It's a cute shop with a great tea selection, but it's a horrible shopping experience. I was there for less than 10 minutes and had 4 staff members come explain things to me which was incredibly off-putting when I just wanted to browse and smell some tea in peace. I don't hold it against the staff personally, they were friendly and I'm assuming did it because they're required to, but it made me leave far sooner than I really wanted to.

Visited the spice & tea exchange this weekend and was greeted by the friendliest staff. They were very informative and shared different ideas about recipes. Also had the pleasure of meeting the owners the next day and shared my experience with them - great couple who takes pride in their business.

Walked in the store and was greeted very nicely with a nice explanation of the front section of the store, and were told if we needed anything to let one of them know. Every three steps we took we were interrupted like we were at a used car lot every time we picked something up we had to be told something about what we were looking at. By the time we had gotten around the store each and every single employee had said something to us at least once. when all we wanted to do was look around and if we had questions we would ask. Felt like we were at a car dealership being bombarded with sales people. Needless to say we were just ready to get out of the store we didn’t buy anything and probably won’t come back.

What a great place! We were greeted upon arrival, and the employee showed us their most popular spice blends (which my partner bought some of the Tuscany blend). There were so many wonderful aromas. I’m an avid tea drinker, and the selection was bountiful; I ended up getting a trio of different wellness blends, as well as a fancy infuser bottle that I cannot wait to try out. I thought it was neat that they also had recipe cards along with some of the spices. Everyone was friendly. I will definitely come back when in the area next. Keep up the great work, ladies!

So happy this was the only store I stopped in on main Street. The ladies in there were extremely helpful and friendly. Made me feel important by explaining things and making sure to answer any questions I had thoroughly. Made suggestions but did not push me to buy, which is always nice and comfortable in a store like that. I could have stayed for hours! I will definitely be trying more than what I bought! It was explained that I am able to call and order for it to be mailed to my address, just get on the email list for rewards. 5 stars! Loved it.

I spent entirely too much money in this store! Mostly because I bought this super cool to-go tea brewer. This store is awesome. You are greeted with a friendly face who gives you a quick run down. You can smell pretty much anything in this store. Interested in a spice? Pick up the jar and smell it. You get plenty of feel for how something might taste based off smelling it. I gravitated towards their herbal tea and specialty sugars. I bought so many good ones. They are also so helpful in the store with picking things out to go together. Some of the teas I bought would be great with a little sugar but they had so many options I wasn’t sure what would go well with the teas I already picked out. They nicely told me about the hibiscus sugar pairing well with at least 3 of my teas and the cinnamon apple sugar to go with another one. I was super pleased! I was brewing that evening. Also with the tea brewer tumbler that I got, it is great! Boy does it keep your tea hot. One of my teas the brewing instructions was to brew with pretty much boiling water. I couldn’t drink the tea for quite awhile because it kept it so hot. I left it in the car for at least 3 hours in 20 degree weather and when I came back the car had frosted over yet my tea was still nice and toasty and perfect for drinking. Since then I try to brew it early and leave the entire cap off for cooling lol.

Have been coming here over the years to pick up various spices. Came by this morning and they had 1 oz. packs of spice priced at a considerable discount. I wanted to purchase 3 packs and some refills for my grinders. When I got to the register the lady said they were mismarked. The actual price was 3 times what was on the bag. I asked if she was going to honor the price that was on the bag. She said she would not. The spices were left on the counter and we will not be returning. I understand they were mistakenly marked, however, that is not the way to do business, especially to someone on their frequent purchaser program. No more spice and yes from me, especially from the Blowing Rock store.

The customer service is second to none. The owners are friendly, caring and incredibly great people. Great shop! They have an amazing selection of blends which are made right there at the store. It helps having a good blend of spices to try on chicken and steak. I'm really stepping outside the box and my friends and family loves my cooking now ☺️. The owners have tried almost all the blends and I love getting suggestions for new recipes that are easy to make. They also have a great selection of high quality loose leaf teas, my favorite is the coconut oolong!

This place is an absolute must for those of us who like teas and spices. Half of my spice cupboard is filled with a wide variety of herbs and spices for any dish I can come up with. They even save my spice mixes in my profile so they can duplicate it exactly. The staff are super friendly and offer excellent advice and suggestions. Go in and browse... you'll be amazed!

Great place for spices and teas. The employees here are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. They make a lot of spice blends in house and most are quite good. They have spice blends for everything from fish to pasta. The Carolina BBQ spice rub is my favorite. Tea selection is also top notch.

This store is the ultimate experience for any chef or tea drinker from novice to masterful. Teas, spices, sugars and salts you simply cannot get anywhere else line the walls. The aroma itself is enough to warrant a visit from anybody, cook or not. So go and visit, step into a world of creation, and take something home to your kitchen. I love coming in here. Attendants are always excited to show you around the spices, teas, etc. Encouraged to open jars and smell everything for yourself. I've never been disappointed by anything I've bought, and my friends love getting the various samplers as gifts.

Great shop and very happy people. Every time we are in Blowing Rock we stop by and get some spices and tea. My son really likes the fancy salt as he calls it. I love the Tuscany Rub, it's great on turkey.

This is a must for anyone who loves to cook or buying a gift for a cook. The smell is so pleasing when you enter the shop. The selection is varied and the service is good. Prices are reasonable too. We will return the next time we are in the area.

Aromatic and flavorful in-house blends of spices line the shelves along with spice grinders and other tools of the trade. For the more advanced chef, they sell the individual spices for reasonable prices. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and willing to help.

As soon as you walk in you can smell a combination of spices. They have numerous types of ground peppers and mixed peppers, salts of all kinds, rubs for different meats, blended mixes of sugars and numerous types of loose teas, blends and even decaf teas. I can only have decaf and my favorite is the blood orange.
