Almost overwhelming so many options... there was a huge line, but fun to watch everyone chatting what they are going ro have... from kids to "grown-up kids", the look in the eye with the expectation was nice to see. The staff was gente and, even with the huge line, they don't rush you, so I was able to sample two flavors before making my decision.I've got the Toasted coconut ice cream and my hubby fudge brownie, both were delicious.

Cute shop! Ice cream shop was a little overpriced but there are so many homemade sweet treat options. Fudge samples, free kilwins large bins, friendly staff, and great sweets! Will definitely be back, all the kids enjoyed themselves. Chocolate covered marshmallows were amazing! Fresh made cones! So great!

If you want fresh made chocolate delights this is the place. Can’t vouch for the ice cream although the line was out the door for that. Home made waffle cones smell heavenly.

Delicious fudge and real smart to make the waffle cones as the whole street smells delicious and you can’t help to stop in for desserts! They were busy! I bought chocolate walnut fudge and it was amazing. As usual! It’s fun to watch them work or sit on the benches outside and people watch.

a tasty place to get a treat in blowing rock! kilwins is always bustling and sometimes it feels like everyone in town has ice cream in their hands from this place! on the last day of our honeymoon, my husband and i finally tried it! they let us taste so many samples before ordering and had some really delicious flavors!

Who doesn’t love ice cream!? This particular location is loaded with a friendly staff and all kinds of yummy goodness. Many places have great treats. It’s the location and staff that make the difference. Highly recommend a waffle cone bowl paired with a custom Ice Cream Sunday. Well, waffle cone bowls with any ice cream really 😂.

We’ve getting desserts here for years. Really missed walking in during 2020! Just getting a whiff when we walk in the store makes it a better day. Staff is always attentive. They can get extra busy during peak hours / weekends & holidays. We always leave smiling.

Place is amazing. You can smell it a block down. ANY time I am near blowing rock I never don't stop here for the fudge. I am in boone often but will make an excuse to come to blowing rock just for the fudge. Never dry or selling old stock. See you in a few months!

Kilwin offers a wide variety of sweets, and everything was scrumptious from the fudge (yummm peanutbutter-chocolate) to the ice cream. The employees were helpful and friendly, and it was fun for all seeing the fudge being made right in the store. A little pricy but expected in the touristy area. Jan 2023

Have stopped in for years for ice cream and other assorted sweets. On this trip we only wanted ice cream. So 3 waffle cones it was. Ice cream has gotten expensive. The cashier took my $20 and gave me $1 change. It was good but we’ll be getting our ice cream elsewhere.

Terrible place to visit. A few years ago I came when I was on a diet. I didn’t get anything, but gained 6 pounds by just walking around and smelling all the incredible baked goods, sweets, and looking at the yummy ice cream flavors. This time I wasn’t on a diet so I got some delicious ice cream and looked at the other goodies here. It’s the best. Wouldn’t you know it!! At my next morning’s physical exam, my weight was record high and the blood tests showed I was sweeter than ever! Back on the diet again! This place is dangerous! It will draw you in and you’ll be in bliss, then BOOM! You’ll be fat!

Ummm....YES. The aroma in this place is amazing...scents of freshly made waffle cones and fudge can picked up from a block away. They have a ton of options for ice cream, homemade fudge, and various other chocolate treats. Obviously a favorite for the kids. Parents like it to. Free samples and staff is always super quick. 👍🏻🍦

It was 30 degrees outside and I was for sure eating ice cream from Kilwin’s! Didn’t get to try the chocolates but they all looked delicious! You must come here if you’re in town, you won’t regret it.

Kilwin’s makes incredible ice creams and fudge. The place is legitimately amazing. It was my first time in Blowing Rock and I was so happy to experience such incredible treats on a friend’s recommendation. The Superman ice cream is delicious! Also the maple fudge is to die for. You have to make the time for a trip to Kilwin’s if you’re anywhere nearby!

GREEDY AND RUDE! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. The staff do not respect the elderly. My grandma, who is 80 years old, pointed to a smaller piece of fudge because she would not be able to finish a giant piece. The guy behind the counter got visibly upset at the fact that she did not want a giant piece of fudge. He then rudely grabbed the smaller piece of fudge and gave it to her. Then my mom asked for a smaller piece as well, because the fudge slices that they have cut out are huge, and the fudge is charged by the pound, not by the slice, so it should not matter what sized piece of fudge someone purchased. The employee refused to accommodate my mom and proceeded to find the LARGEST piece of fudge for her. So disrespectful and inconsiderate, not everyone wants to buy 7 pounds of fudge for themselves. My family and I proceeded to still be very nice to the employees even though they had been blatantly rude. When we very nicely said thank you to the staff, they just looked at us, and did not respond. This was such a poor experience to have in an ice cream and fudge shop, I didn't know it was so difficult to accommodate nice customers who, if are treated well, will return and buy lots of your products. I understand that dealing with the public can not always be easy, but my family are some of the most easy going customers you could ever have. We will not be back.

Delicious with an option for everybody. This is such a cute shop often with a line out the door. Though that is the case, the folks who work here are patient and friendly and really help you find the sweet that is just right for you. I enjoy the limited edition flavors they rotate out on a regular basis, always a nice reason to visit. Floats and shakes are equally worth it.

"5 out of 5 Stars to this owner for hiring aspiring young people."Most of the young people that have attempted to perform rudimentary ice cream service for me at this Kilwins location have been near the age of 16 or 17, give or take. They didn't quite get it at first. I give this franchise owner 5 stars because she is doing a great service to the community by hiring young people. I might have called the employees there, Gen Z’s, or low in technical skills but that was before I found out that some of the employees were high IQ and could be lower on social skill spectrums. Everyone I encountered were lovely, yet rattled when I ordered chocolate malts, but with vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate ice cream. I get it now!

Ice cream scoops have gotten smaller and the price higher. I will gladly give you $8 plus for a waffle cone. Just don't be stingy with the ice cream. I have been getting ice cream with Kilwin's for decades. Just lately seems they are getting greedy.

Customer service was top notch! Ice cream and fudge was amazing! Loved watching them make caramel and fudge fresh! Please get the Turtle Cheesecake ice cream. I was blown away by how smooth and creamy it was! I have seen complaints about pricing here but I have never been in a cheap chocolatier’s store. I do wish they had prices on the boxed items. If they did I didn’t see them but I could have easily over looked it. I didn’t buy anything extra for that reason. Otherwise this place gets 12 ⭐️s from me and my family!

One of my favorite places to visit while in Blowing Rock! The turtle cheesecake ice cream is my all time favorite! It's so sweet and smooth! And is great in their waffle cones. Not to mention the free samples of their fudge! Mud slide fudge is a hit! Also the staff is super friendly and helpful!
