Their sandwiches are great and their bread is ok. They are not amish, they are mennonites... I don't know why their sourdough bread tastes a bit sweet as it shouldn't. Its not as authentic as it should be, since I lived in Lancaster, PA (home of the amish) for 1.5 years and had real amish/mennonite food. The place is a bit crowded, a bit disappointed but not that bad... but definitely not worth the hype you hear about this place. People who give great reviews for this place don't know any better due to lack of exposure to real amish/mennonite culture and experience, trust me.

Got to go. Sandwiches are good. You will think your in Amish country. All kinde of canned food,spices, candy. Fresh baked breads and other goodies. You can eat outside on nice tables made by Mennonites.very busy on weekends. Best time to go is Tuesday and Wednesday.Parking: About 10 parks in front of store. If they are taken you will have to park on side of road.

Great sandwiches! Spices, breads, herbs, candy. I wanted butter but didn't see any. Settled for sourdough rolls, gingersnaps and a Rueben. Everything was very good. There is outside furniture, birdhouses, flowers...I've had the banana nut bread before and it was delicious.

Your butter had made the perfect chocolate cake perfect. The taste of the chocolate cake because of the butter had increase the quality of that cake six times better. You have the perfect butter.

This place is a favorite and I feel grateful for living so close. Always try to get there on Saturday for a fresh made sandwich and of course grab some snickerdoodle cookies! I have even bought a shed here, which they customized for me.

The BEST place to get spices for cooking. We don’t live close by anymore but when it’s time to stock up we make the trek out to Fountaintown and stock up while enjoying the country during the drive. Natural spices that truly enhance the quality of anything you’re cooking. They do have other homemade goods here as well such as jellies/jams, sweets, drinks, homemade bread, and even some natural supplements. If you’re ever near, it’s worthwhile to stop on in and check them out

Visited this place this past Saturday and was not disappointed. First off, they’re incredibly friendly and the items they sell are worth the prices. You’re getting quality items/ food items, home made. We ended up buying sandwiches from their deli/bakery and those were delicious! So much better than the local chain stuff. We really enjoyed their cute little outdoor seating available right out front of their store. Come check out this place it’s truly a gem!

Great Reuben sandwich!! Jalapeño pickled asparagus is unbelievably delicious! We bought homemade sourdough bread too. Haven't sampled yet, but I bet it's fantastic.

This place should Definitely be on your “Things to do” list for Jacksonville. Great Quality food and ingredients for sale. The building is a very peaceful and pleasant environment with a staff willing to educate and service. These are wonderful Mennonite people and I’m so grateful for what they do.

If you haven’t been here it’s a tiny Amish store. You will be amazed at all the “Dutch kettle” varieties. Home made ice cream and donuts sandwiches you’ll wish they were in your back yard!!!
