This is the closest grocery store to my home. Over the last year or so, they've upgraded the interior with new coolers and flooring. Alas, more often than not, there are whole sections of shelves or coolers that are bare. Bread? Good luck. They've always been the best deal around for meats, but even the meat coolers have been lacking. Making the five mile drive for a grocery item that I suddenly realized I need for a dish is now a game of Russian Roulette, and more than once over the last year or two I came up empty handed.One more thing: The deli makes some of the best Cole slaw I've ever had.

One of the worst grocery stores on the planet. I love supporting smaller businesses or local chains but you’re better off just going the next town over for your groceries, especially if you plan to buy meat. Bought ground beef got home with it and inside the red exterior of the beef the inside is all brown and it smells disgusting. Got back to the store to get a replacement and got home with the replacement and it’s still not great quality meat and slightly browning on the inside. So frustrated I just decided I won’t do anything else about it but I won’t go back. Just go to another store. You’ll have better customer service and better product.

We stop by this grocery store to pick up some essentials for the holidays. The store is small, crowded, and not well maintained. The shelves are not stocked and the store had this dirty and dingy feel to it. They do stock both brand name and store branded/value brands to save money. The prices are on par with other supermarkets in the area. I did find a few interesting items but there isn't much variety compared to bigger supermarkets or the nearby Walmart.

It has recently remodeled and is SO much better and has a larger selection of items. But, seriously, the hot deli... AWESOME!

Need to have schooling in politeness. Had one employee basically run over me. No excuse me nor anything. This place has the nastiest attitude employees. I had one at check that was nice and I told her how much I appreciated her niceness. But the rest I dealt with today can take a hike off of a short pier. Actually heard one lady customer to tell deli keep it I don't want it. Don't know the details but she was upset also.i used to shop this store weekly years ago. I quit shopping there when their attitudes started changing for the absolute WORST. I've been in there a couple times this year and as of today I do not intend on shopping there again ever. We all have bad days. We all can't be happy all the time. But I go out of my way to try and be nice and considerate to everyone. This world is to full of ugliness for me to put up with it when I don't have to. I'm really disappointed in the way they've let this store go down. It's a shame.

they took me in the back and had all the rats, roaches, and snakes do a ritual over my limp body and they put ham all over me im traumatized…. overall the experience was a 10/10

Bought rib to cook after church . Got home to cook them , open package and they're rotten. Sad part of this is I just took meat back a few DAYS ago that was rotten and they wouldn't give me my money back. They gave me store credit. But it won't happen again. I'm done. Food lion or piggy wiggly will get my business.

Went shopping here before spending an evening with my friends at the beach. Had good snack and drink options, and wasn't too busy. Good store 👍

Great price on a lot of meats but things elsewhere are just too high for my 2023 pocketbook. I bought what I was able to get a good deal from and passed on the rest.

Convient is an understatement!!! If you are out in that area your realize there is absolutely no where to go....so it makes this store a God send. Granted they don't stock everything, but its got what you need to survive.

This grocery store's stock is becoming scarce! Many times I am unable to find "my basics" here anymore.This week I found the pastries were haphazardly packaged in their plastic containers, not buttoned down, and closed properly. Because of this, the muffins were dry and stale tasting; although, they were within the 'buy by date!'

Produce looks great. Shelves well stocked. Meats look good, but had a B sanitation grade. Deli sanitation grade not good. I probably would not eat there.

Not a bad store for being independently owned. Have some killer deals on chicken wings and other meats on occasion. Cashier who checked me out was efficient but could have been friendlier. Would return if in the area.

I usually love small town grocery stores, but not this one. I was passing through and stopped to grab a few things. I noticed several jars of JIF extra crunchy peanut butter on the shelves. I checked the recall list and those were on it. My friend talked to the manager, "Mary" and told her about it. She just rolled her eyes and walked off. She went back into the meat counter and started working there instead. When I went to check out there was a cashier at a register talking to another employee. I wasn't acknowledged until another cashier stopped stocking shelves and went to another register.I used to love this store and Whaleys in Pink Hill when I was a kid. This Jackson's has gone down hill.

Really like this quaint grocery store/deli! I am particularly fond of their fried chicken! The employees are southernly courteous, and parking is easy! I run in when I need to pick up something really quick. The wait in line is rarely long.

I wish I could give negative stars. Horrible customer service. The guy in the deli was super rude never even acknowledged us and when we asked him a question about the hot bar he was rude very short and snippy then walked off when I brought it to the attention of another employee her response was oh yeah he's like that... So he's known for being rude which poses the question of why is he still interacting with customers.. I realize as a black woman this type of stuff is typical in the south but do better IGA

This store has great food already prepared the grocery store its self is dingy old dated and looks well not so clean...need new everything from box coolers in frozen food to the tile and lights. They have great cuts of meat but then again it just needs a face-lift all the way around.

The store is fine and the meat dept is great. It gets a 3 star because everyone that works there seems miserable...no service with a smile from this place...maybe Mr. Jackson should offer better hours or more money...idk...but they just don't seem happy and thats a big downer when I'm dropping $200 or more each week there. I'd prefer they be happy that I'm spending there instead of another bigger store like Walmart.

It was a joke. Food is good there if you can get out the door before it gets messed up at checkout. I had two boys. The bagger is trying to put bags on the stand because it was empty and the cashier tells him to just push it all the way through. They both giggle like little school girls and then the bagger goes, that's what she said. The bagger then goes and throws my raw hamburger meat, apples and cinnamon rolls from the deli in or bag and then throws another raw hamburger meat in with my salad mix and carrots. To top it off he bagged the 2 liter drinks last and threw them on top of everything. Crushed boxes. The employees need some training. Sad thing is is that the male cashier acted like he was in charge of the front.

I went there to shop twice for deals showed online (FaceBook) that was not available or the staff had no knowledge of the deal stating the meat dept was closed and that I needed to come back another day. Gas is too high for that back and forth.

Great price friendly staff an amazing deli area. The store just needs to be cleaner a little messy as well as a rotten meat smell when you walk in kinda off putting but if in need of great prices for food then yes it is your place to go.

This store is the worst excuse of a grocery store. First off, NO customer service. I walked by almost every employee and nobody spoke, not even once. I mentioned this at checkout and she didn't even acknowledge me. Not to mention it's nasty, stinks, and over priced.

I just love a hometown grocery store. Yeah Walmart is the big box store that seems to have everything, but come on man, it's hard to beat the grocery store around the corner that doesn't take 4 hours to shop around in! Buy local, it'll make you feel a bit of good old fashioned Americana!!
