This is great place to visit and learn about the history of Bethania. The trails are nice, also.

Always a very pleasant place to walk. It’s been some time that I’ve been here so decided to take my mom and unfortunately it was really overgrown. One of the bridges was out and we passed another that the wood had rotted all the way through. That was a bit dangerous for a child or someone not paying attention. The Black Walnut festival was this last Saturday so I was very surprised that wasn’t fixed. Hopefully on our next trip it’s fixed. Yes, we will be going back..

This is one of our favorite places to go for short family hikes. It's nice and flat, follows Muddy Creek, and has beautiful wildflower meadows full of butterflies and honey bees. The problem is that the place is in a total state of disrepair. Bridges are falling apart, trails are overgrown with stinging nettle and poison ivy, and there's no access to the creek without descending a steep eroded bank. It's still worth a visit but the bridges that are still in use are becoming dangerous and will begin to collapse at any point. Wear long pants if you don't want to get stung by nettle or learn to use the jewelweed that grows next to it to make the itch go away.

Bethania is a well preserved jem of our regional history. Highly recommend taking the self guided walking tour of the town.

It always fun to visit the Bethania Visitors center and Black Walnut Bottoms trail. Wear shoes that can get Muddy and dress for hungry mosquitos. Othe Visitors may bring their dogs so be prepared for unleashed pets. Read the signs for safety. Stay on the trail as parts of it may be closed on occasion.

Small but nice facility to learn about the local history. Trail maps available outside so they're accessible when visitor center closed. Decent restrooms outside the visitor center also. Nice parking lot.Several hiking trails start from here. Trails can be muddy after a rain.

This is a great visitor's center, with nice exhibits and information about the Moravians and local history. Bethania has their own historian employed at the Visitor Center, at their expense to an extent I believe. He is affable and approachable. We take our visitors to town to this place. It is clean and well kept with more than adequate parking.

Bethania Visitor Center is currently closed to protect its staff and visitors from COVID-19. The walking trails and picnic areas are still available. From the outside, the historic and reconstructed buildings look to be in excellent condition and are attractive.

Saw the one and only Latin Bluegrass band Che Apalache at this venue (Muddy Creek Music Hall), August 2017. As that's the only thing I've ever done in Winston-Salem, and the musicians were great, 5 stars to Muddy Creek for bringing them in!

Knowledgeable site manager. Hike through history on a trail, or tour historic downtown. Today there was a history lecture in the chapel. Great experience.

Such a lovely walking trail. The only negative is the holes and spongy wood on the little bridges.
