Went into the dollar general last night to but some ciggs and was thrown into the 50's when the employees who clearly didn't want to help me blantly asked me if I skipped the line .... mind you she wasn't at the register when the line formed as usual....1 cashier 10 shoppers or more in line whille the other employees hide. I felt it was asked on purpose because that must have been her friend.... get better

Be careful getting gas here. I was double charged at the gas pump. I waited for it to clear and post to my account before I called. The lady I spoke to at the store said she couldn't do anything to help me without a receipt. Only thing is their pumps are always out of receipt paper. Thankfully my bank refunded the money to me. On a good note I do find the store quick and convenient, and I do like shopping here.

The manager on Duty, Elizaberh Stephenson was so rude. First of all neither employee was wearing a face mask. After waiting in line 10min to check out. Ms Stephenson game up front to assist the Male worker in checking out. I did not think a bogof item discounted correctly. The gentlemen assured me it was but he didnt seem certain. I was looking over my reciept while walking I still did not think it discounted correctly. I asked the female clerk who is the manager on duty? She said I am why? I said I dont think my item discounted correctly. I stepped back and waited for her to finish with the customer she was working with. Once done i stepped up and she turned her back to me and yelled next customer. I said ma'am i was waiting. She said you will have to get in line again. I said I've already waited in THAT line. She said you will have to again very rudely. I said what is your name please. She said, very rudely Elizaberth Stephen's with a ph want me to write it down for you. I have never been treated so disrespectful by a worker. I told her if you dont want to deal with people you should find another job. I left and now have to type this and call corporate to find out if I was charged incorrectly. Might only be $2.50. But there is no respect, no customer is always right. Just rude.

I stop by here sometimes to grab quick things on my way home. Apparently the last time we were there, the cashier mistakenly sent us home with a bottle of wine. When I got home I didn't think anything of it. I figured my husband had put it on the counter when I wasn't paying attention. Several days later we realized neither of us had meant to get the bottle of wine, but we didn't think anything else about it. This was at least a couple weeks ago. Tonight when we stopped, an employee (manager maybe?) came and asked us if we had left with a bottle of wine. We had totally forgotten until then. I said "oh yea we did by accident apparently " and she said "I know. I saw it on camera. My cashier accidentally put it in your bag and you didn't bring it back." I explained that we didn't even know it was a mistake for days and totally forgot about it. She then proceeds to tell us that she has the right to charge us for the wine if she wants to but that she will just let us bring it back. She was totally rude about it. She spoke to us as if we stole it. It was the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen in my life! It is NOT my job to take care of their mistake and it certainly isn't my job to inconvenience myself to take back an item that I didn't even want. By the way, neither of us drink wine but it will sit atop my fridge for ETERNITY before I take it back.

I went in expecting to only get bread and hair color and ended up with my arms full and still looking. The nicest lady ever working there came over with a basket and helped me get things loaded in it! It just brightened my day. I wish I knew her name. Short haired lady...maybe a manager. This is a great place to pick up odds and ends if you don't feel like going into a large store. Their prices are decent considering the convenience of a small store but not a place you should expect to catch any major savings. Another benefit is that you can buy gas here and the price is almost always one of the lowest prices in town.

This is a great place for a quick pick up, they have the basics – you can run in and run out real quick. Plus, there is a red box right outside so you can get a quick movie with your popcorn. Really nice people and they greet you when you come in the door!

Literally 3/4 of the store's isles were full of boxed product. You couldn't even walk down some of them. I said hello to multiple staff only for them to look and ignore me and they seemed to be very unhappy to be there. This has been a issue every time I've been to this dollar general. Shelves empty, isles full and blocked off by unboxed product and nothing I was looking for was there. Even if it was, it is probably still boxed up and not put out.

Tried doing on line survey,there were very few isles you could go down,this was at 12:20 PM on Saturday,August 13,2021,so much stock stacked very high on carts you could not enter the isles.A lady shopping told me I need to get some of the canned goods and I can't enter the isle.So dangerous as cart could tilt over and injure someone. See my receipt can't read the survey numbers,so disappointed!This store was in Benson,NC

I go there all the time. The managers and cashiers are extremely nice and will help you with any thing. Very nice selection and if they dont have what you need they will call you if you leave your information when it comes in.

A great place to shop for items you need & dont want to have to go to Erwin etc.Love that theyve added more high end items but have kept their prices reasonable especially in comparison to picking up the same items in say like...the grocery stores. I recommend it for most of the basic needs items. Prices are always competitive.

Isle were cluttered with stock. Hard to move around the store. I'm sure they were changing things and doing it during less busy times. But overall nice experience.

Nothing on shelves and every isle was Full of Merchandise Carts from their truck delivery. Trash running over at gas pumps and all employees except 1 was Very Rude and seemed Distraught. If you don't wanna work with the public find another Job.

DG stores need a 3rd shift, it's always messy. Every one of them looks like you took a stick and stirred it...its way more store than 4 or 5 people can do on shift

their shelves were not stock very well hardly any meat on the shelves the fruits and vegetables look very bad and it's a little messy, it looks very disorganized and it is difficult to get around some Isles in the store, on the other hand I did like the gas price there, maybe it was just a bad day in the store and they hadn't had time to restock yet😌
