I am giving the store itself a 5, it's a good, clean, well stocked store. The reason for only 3 stars is once you get to the cash register you have to wait for the young lady to quit texting on her phone to start ringing you up. Then she turns to who I guess was a manager to ask if she can go on break. He tells her she has to wait til someone else gets back. She goes back to texting, she finally rings up my purchases, i pay her and as I get my bags off the counter, I notice that someone has left a bag with 2 items in it. I said to her, someone has forgot one of their bags, she said "yeah I saw that." I would think that maybe she should have taken the bag and put it to the side in case the people come back to get it, but she didn't, she left it there for someone else to possibly pick it up thinking it was one of their bags by mistake. No care whatsoever by this young lady that someone had spent their money on these items and didn't get them. Sadly, that is the reaction you get from a lot of customer service people these days.

My husband visited their only pharmacy location which happens to be located in my hometown, Benson, NC! The service was above and beyond by their team! Charles, the pharmacy manager stayed past closing to take care of a medication need for me and as a pharmacist myself I know he didn’t have to do that, but he genuinely cares for his patients!

Good down home atmosphere and some of the best cuts of fresh meats with beautiful prices! Their regular grocery items are typically higher than main stream grocery stores. This location has a large amount of "dollar tree type clutter" in the front area which is concerning from a safety point of view.

Carli Cs in benson is an okay place to shop but I went there with my mom today and noticed there was four boxes of hamburger helper that was old some were from March 2023 and some were from 2022 that is a little ridiculous to have something old on the shelf I went to a different one and they had lays ranch dip that was from 2023 in February and I gotten an Gatorade hydration drink that was from November 2021. Something needs to be done about old items on the shelf people will not notice that and can get sick from old food and drinks.

I’m not a fan of IGA. Over priced and terrible checkout kiosks.The worst I’ve ever seen for self checkout. “Please remove item from bagging area.”The last time I was at Dunn IGA I had an associate that ended up scanning all my items due to him needing to override the kiosk after the scanning of every single item! I’m thinking, why don’t they just have the registers with a human open and available??I was thankful that at least I had this person to get my grocery items scanned. His assistance allowed me to go about my day without having to just leave the groceries.On a positive note, the breakfast sandwiches and chicken wings bar at Erwin IGA are great take out breakfast and lunch meals.Unfortunately at this location the self checkout kiosks are plagued with the same issues.The IGA ERWIN location does however have some pretty awesome younger folks behind their “real” registers that do a great job and are super friendly.

I used to go to food lion for all of my grocery needs. Now after visiting this place, I drive the extra 5 minutes to come here. Place is aesthetically pleasing, staff is helpful, and as far as stock goes they have everything I need. If you have not stopped here before, I highly recommend at least checking it out. Not like most independent grocers, by far the best one I've seen thus far.

The meat department in this store awesome! Everything I needed for the superbowl they had it! Even when Food Lion was empty! The customer service was great too! Super friendly and very helpful! I will definitely be coming back!

This place is nice and clean friendly staff like all of their stores, has small. Carts for kids to push which helps me a lot being a single father, some. Items were much cheaper than usual than some were much more than some. Other stores kinda evens out still cheaper than food lion

This place is a down-home favorite! Smaller than Food Lion, and Harris Teeter, and all the big ones. The people are nice! The meats are fresh, And of course, you can always stop by and get a $400 million winning lottery ticket!

I can not begin to tell you how pleased we are with the customer service we received at the Benson location. We were planning a pig pickin for our son’s graduation, Andrew and Danny went way beyond our expectations. They made sure that the main attraction of our party was as hassle free as possible. Everything from ordering the pig, pig cooker and the pick up of everything. We are new to Benson and their hospitality and customer service is top notch. Thank you so much!

Managing a grill and we shop here on the daily most weeks...The Meat is very fresh! Can call and order anything throw meat Department and it's ready and no time and looks great! All the staff there are wonderful and there to help you with anything you need! Do business with other IGA's around but Benson is the best!!!!

Love Carlie C's. However, the older white woman in the Deli is very unprofessional. I witnessed her cuss out a fellow co-worker and her manager all while ignoring me and two other customers behind me. My child, myself or anyone else shouldn't have to hear that nonsense. She should be terminated.

We shopped here on our way to the beach and they have a nice selection of produce, condiments and bakery items. There is a gas station as well that usually has very competitive prices.

Wow! This Charlie C's is way nicer than the one is Lillington. The meat department was full and the customer service was awesome. The Lillington store is looking pretty rough. Save yourself the aggravation and come to this one.

My customers love Brightleaf hotdogs I was in the area and stopped in to restock. I brought 10 packs the price was significantly lower than where I usually shop at home. I will be back when I'm in Benson!

Very friendly staff, medium size store most items have fair pricing selection is sometimes minimal depending on item. They have a deli that makes hot food daily from breakfast biscuits in the morning to chicken in the afternoon evening and lunch items varying from chicken tenders, fried chicken, cobbler, Mac and chees, potatoe wedges, broccoli and cheese etc.
