This place is AMAZING and if I could give them 100 stars I would! I have a mini Goldendoodle that has to be sedated to get his shots and groomed... he WILL NOT let anyone touch him other than me....he has major anxiety. Anyways, I was paying soooo much for services in huntersville for him and was treated differently due to my dogs behavior. I found this place and wow!!! I'm so glad I did because the care and patience they had with my dog honestly put me at ease with him and his behaviors. And my pocket wasn't hurting after the vet bill either :)

If I can help one person reading this then I have done the right thing...DO NOT bring your animals to this place. I brought two of my animals here as I was new to the area and didn't know any better. My cat had a severe licking disorder and destroyed her skin..rather than running tests they just told me it was an allergy and prescribed prednisolone (they did the same thing for my dog rather than draining his hematoma) although the condition improved it quickly came back after discontinuation of the medication. I took her to a second vet (the place the ended up having to do surgery on my dogs ear) and they ended up diagnosing my cat with an auto-immune disorder and promptly treated her with the proper medication. I'm so angry that this place never evaluated my cat the proper way and she had to suffer as long as she did...if I could give NEGATIVE stars I would ..PLEASE if you love your animals, RUN from this place!

The staff is always kind and eager to help. My aging dog had a growth behind his eye and Dr Wallace removed all of the cancer. He has adapted and is doing so well now. He plays with the other dogs and is a happy boy. I'm so grateful.Thank you Kayla (vet tech) for your kind words and taking care of Romeo!

I love Dr. Wallace and the staff at Catawba Heights Animal hospital. I’ve been taking all of my family pets there for over 20 years. She is a great asset to the Belmont-Mt. Holly area. The best way to judge a vet and staff? A happy relaxed dog who loved the attention.

I had a review in here that was rather critical, and I need to change that., I stayed with this veterinary team, and I’m glad I did. They do care - deeply. I’m grateful for staying and giving them more of an opportunity to show who they are, and more importantly how they treat my pack and me as a customer. I trust them, with my dogs’ lives. I cannot overstate that, I trust them with my dogs’ lives. I am currently working with them on palatine care for my oldest who has cancer, and he is the reason I rescued the other 3 in mg pack. He also rescued me. They are loving on my pack like I would. This veterinary team has become an extension of my family. Highly recommend.

Services are pricey however what turned into a horrible experience at this clinic... was the fact that I took in my 15yr old Chihuahua for dental cleaning. (She had 8 to 10 teeth left)However, when I arrived to pick her up...she had no teeth at all!!! Around noon-time someone (Not the Dr.) called me to inform me that all went well and that my dog was fine. NO, SHE WASNT FINE AND THEY DIDNT PREPARE ME..I went in to get my dog and the poor baby was toothless and in a lot of pain!Time passed by (a year or 2) and I took her back. :(They proceeded to do lab work and next day I was informed that her lab work was clear. WAIT!!! ALL CLEAR???...I thought that the last time she had lab work done, SHE HAD HYPERTHYROIDISM!? So was her lab work mixed on this visit or on the previous??? I WILL NEVER KNOW!With all of these fine reviews on here, I can't help but to wonderWHY our experience was so different. :(

We adopted a rescue kitten saved from a pretty bad situation, and brought her in today for a checkup/shots/testing. The staff at Catawba Heights were very welcoming, thorough, caring and gentle with our new fuzzball. We will continue bringing our pets here!

After having a less than good experience at another veterinarian office, we made an appointment at Catawba Heights Animal Hospital and are happy we have found the right office for our pup. Dr Wallace was very caring, answered our questions and was very good with our little dog. And I could not be happier with the staff..friendly and knowledgeable.The waiting room is nice and very clean and decorated with adorable pet portraits. Two thumbs up!

Visited over a decade ago. Large gauge needle used on my dog where a small one would probably have surficed. I asked the vet to perhaps considet a smaller one next time. He responded with what I considered to be condescension along with a suggestion to go elsewhere. I did.It wasn't his choice of needles. It was his choice of words that put me off.I see the Dr White is no longer there. As such, I've amended the review.

Best vet and experience we have ever had! The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely care about your fur babies. Their pricing is extremely reasonable as well, which is refreshing. They are efficient and quick, but very thorough and caring.Can't say enough great things. They helped me in a pinch twice now and I am forever greatful!

Dr Wallace does not have a way with animals at all! The previous Dr White, my dogs loved, they do Not like Dr Wallace. Recently took my kitty to her, she did x-rays, and put her on antibiotics (one bottle was already opened and the other was so old it was solidified. But charged full price. Kitty is still in bad shape because of old overpriced meds. Would Never recommend this place to anyone who loves their animals!!!

They were absolutely wonderful! The office staff as well as the doctor were great. We took mom and 9 English Springer Spaniel puppies for their 6 week check up. The vet took time and even got in the floor with the puppies. We weren't just a number to the vet and it wasn't just about taking out $. We just switched to them and will recommend them to everyone!

I showed up without an appointment due to an emergency with my dog, and it was the first time I have ever used them. They (techs and vet) were awesome and saved her life! I can't express my gratitude enough. Caring, thorough, and compassionate. They earned my business forever, they will be my new vet. The pricing was VERY FAIR and probably less than half of what it would have cost at an emergency facility. I highly recommend, and they will itemize and price it so you know what's up before making decisions. THANK YOU

Dr. White and his entire staff are wonderful! They take such great care of Halo! She is a little nervous and will not accept treats from the techs but she wags her tail and walks to Dr. White, sits and waits for him to give her a treat! She doesn't care for men but she is a great judge of character and LOVES Dr. White...or at least his treats! Lol! Prices are very competitive as well.

I think majority of these reviews are from the previous Dr of the practice. We took our 8 week old puppy in as new patients for shots and tests. After the shots our pup had some different behaviors not 24 hours after, I took him back in to be assured that everything was okay, it cost $42 for a recheck on a vaccine that was given not 48 hours after the injection. Seems they are more about money than care or the pup and reassurance of well being.Our puppy was also tested for worms at this time (during initial visit) and had been waiting on the results, its been almost two weeks now and my wife called and stated they gave me the POSITIVE results for worms but yet no medication or treatment options. We have 2 other dogs and have been taking to vets for years where we moved from and NEVER in the 15 years of taking our dogs have we had such negligence and static from a vet clinic. Will be looking for some other caring clinic for our pups. You should too.

Dr. White was always fantastic the 2x times I saw him. They've sold the clinic to a new Veterinarian. She wasn't the best in my opinion. I feel like she didn't spend any time in the exam room with me answering my questions about my dogs during there well visit. She was more concerned about swabbing ears and getting me quote for my 6 year old dog dental cleaning. I had to ask the vet tech to send her back in because I still had questions. She sold me a medication for almost double the price then what I could've ordered it on Chewy for. I overall had a poor experience and I called the front office to let them know I was just overall not satisfied with my visit. They really didn't seem to be caring whatsoever and let me know the Clinic has been sold to the new vet. I will be finding a vet.

We have been going to Catawba Heights Animal Hospital for some time, recently moved to Iron Station, NC tried a couple vets up in the Denver, Lincolnton area and none compare to the Catawba Heights, they are fantastic, we had to come back. Love the staff everyone is very understanding, the care they give is great.

A wonderful veterinarian and staff. I have 3 dogs and 6 cats and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. White is so helpful and shows great concern for our animals. His staff is friendly and gentle and knowledgeable. I'd been to several vets in the area before discovering Catawba Heights Animal hospital and they are the best in my opinion.

Found out the vet had misdiagnosed our dog after we had already paid $500+. Eventually took our dog to a different vet who said she can not believe they missed this. We called the office back after our dogs issues were resolved, explained what our concerns were and requested a refund since our problem was not solved and actually made the situation worse. They refused and lied saying that “they did offer the care here and we denied”. I would not recommend coming here even for routine let alone emergencies. They’re extremely overpriced and unprofessional.

WOW! Where to start...We recently took our kitten to this location which recently changed Doctors which clearly is a disaster. We took our other cat there and had great experiences. Now that the new doctor took over it clearly is a different facility. After surgery we had several issues and they were less than helpful. We ended up taking our kitten to another animal hospital which has been super. If you love your pets don't take them to this butcher shop, take them to a place that loves and cares for animals.

Dr. White and his team are awesome! My three dogs (Bonnie, Clyde, & Sadie) have been patients for over ten years. They are spoiled with attention and love every time we go. We recently lost our precious Clyde and everyone in the office was kind, loving, and professional with Clyde and his human-parents. I can't say enough about this team! I truly appreciate them!

The people are very friendly and helpful but never purchase any prescriptions from them. Their prices are pretty high. The good news is that they work well with Chewy.
