My dog went to the ER 2 days before Christmas and Dr.Lloyd was the doctor at the clinic that morning. After a thorough exam, she told me that my dog likely had lymphoma. She was absolutely correct and I was able to get him started on chemotherapy. Her exam was thorough and because of that I get more time with my dog. Very grateful to her and would absolutely recommended Dr. Lloyd!

Dr. Lloyd and her excellent assistant were just wonderful. We were tourists in Beaufort and our puppy needed an exam and eye drops for conjunctivitis. The Live Oak Vet staff got us in the next morning and treated Moses like a valued patient. So impressed! Beaufort is lucky to have this vet clinic.

I received multiple emails informing me that my dog was due for just a fecal exam. I took the sample to them and paid the $31 fee for the test.When I was there I scheduled another appointment for blood work that was due. During that appointment I was informed that the "Senior Canine Preventative Care Package" included a fecal exam. I did not see the need to have another fecal exam in less than 2 weeks, and asked them to refund my $31 because I paid for it a second time when I paid for the package.They refused to do so.

Dr. Lloyd is absolutely amazing. My dog has had digestive issues her entire life and has been anemic on her labs for quite some time. Other vets have brushed her off, acting like everything was fine with no concern for her health. She is the only vet in town that takes the time to find out what's wrong with your pet and try to fix it. A little more pricey than other vets I've been to, but it is SO worth it to have your dog taken care of instead of feeling like a crazy dog mom all the time that has to fight for every test to he done. Thank you Dr. Lloyd!!

My older dog and I had a wonderful experience for an unanticipated trip to the vet. The entire office was kind and welcoming as they worked us in and the Vet took her time with us during our visit. The experience was wonderful and I am so happy we found this fantastic office!

They were able to see our little Dr. Vincent Von Harryhausen who we had received from a friend and was abandoned by its mother and they squeezed us in for a last minute visit and helped us with all his poor little man issues. They were so caring and understanding and informative. I can’t thank them enough for taking good care of our little guy.

I was very pleased with the attention my dog got. I got advice on medication to help her feel better. The Dr showed compassion for the distress I felt due to my fur baby’s condition. I feel very confident I made the right choice in taking her to Live Oak veterinary hospital to get my baby some care. I didn’t expect it but I was able to pick up some temporary meds for my baby while I waited for her prescription to be filled.

On Monday morning we knew that our 25 year old cat had reached the end of his journey. Our regular vet was unavailable and we contacted multiple other vets in the area who were unable to fit us in to help our sweet boy. I contacted Live Oak and was told immediately that I could come in and that they would help us. The team and the vet were incredibly kind to our sweet boy and helped to ease him over the rainbow bridge. I cannot express how appreciative we are for you.

DO NOT TAKE A PET HERE!! I brought in an 11 month old kitten, after $600 bill, unnecessary procedures, meds being forced down her throat 3x daily, the vet said she didn't know what was wrong with her. The next vet I brought her to took one look & said it was FIP, which is fatal. She had to be put to sleep. The 2nd vet had gone to school with the first vet, they both had many years of experience & mentioned it was unlikely that she didn't recognize the diagnosis. If you're OK with being price gouged not to mention your pet suffering unnecessarily, then this is your place!! RIP Lilly

We met Dr. Lloyd at 11 pm with an emergency visit due to our cat eating lily leaves which are poisonous and deadly if not treated within hours of ingestion. The care was first rate and on our visit to the clinic the next day we met with Kristina who was equally energetic in the caring of our cat. Our cat luckily recovered to full health given the knowledge and expertise of this fine veterinarian and her staff.

This is the best Vet I’ve ever brought my animals to! I’ve traveled up and down the east coast with the military, and the wonderful staff, especially Miss Sabrina always takes the best care of all my pets. They’re always so polite and wanting to help. I board my dog at Live Oak and feel confident that he is well taken care if. He suffers from seizures and takes meds twice a day. I can rest knowing that the staff love him and treat him as one if their own. Everyone is thoughtful and friendly.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Recently brought home a puppy and kitten and have walked us through all the steps to get their vaccinations complete and ensure they are in good health. Our pets are getting spayed and neutered here next week and we plan to continue bringing them back.
