I always like the walnut/cranberry chicken salad. I bought a light pick me up kids meal, cheese burger and corn nuggets. It was a good meal but the corn nuggets, they were so fresh and delicious. Had lunch with several friends and we all had something different. My shrimp wrap was pretty good, but didn't seem to have anything but shrimp and lettuce. Other meals were a trout sandwich, broiled shrimp, crab cakes, and a steak. Everybody enjoyed what they had. They have a large selection of sides to chose from, and they all looked good. My cucumber salad was fresh with a lot of extra ingredients thrown in. The service was prompt, efficient and polite, though we asked for more hush puppies twice an never got them. That's the main reason I'm holding back the 5th star. Otherwise, I will have no problem stopping here again when I'm in the area.

I really wanted to like this place. I ordered the shrimp dinner during lunch time expecting a mound of shrimp. I didn't count them but but I'm guessing it worked out to about $1 per shrimp. They were good but not great, similar to how mine come out. The fried okra was excellent as were the hushpuppies. I should have ordered the fish sandwich. The server was awesome. I paid with cash because they wanted an extra 3% for using my debit card.

The restaurant is really cold so bring a sweater! I ordered crab cake, fried okra, and broccoli. All were good EXCEPT the broccoli yuck it was turning black and tasted terrible (don't get the broccoli). Once we got our food and a 2nd drink, we never saw the server again and the check was already on the table. I wanted to send back the broccoli but never had the chance as the server never came back. That's unfortunate 😕 the fried okra was outstanding, and so were the crab cakes!

Shrimp and scallops were over cooked so a bit rubbery. Steak medium but I asked medium rear. The taste was good just over cooking is my issue.

My first time trying this place.... I'm not a seafood or fish person, but my wife is and she lived the dish she got .... the pick 3... I thought the portion was small for the price buttttt, happy wife, happy life... I had the hamburger plate and it was kind of blah, the fish smell is pretty strong, but it is a seafood restaurant... hehehe... I will give it another chance... the decor is very cool also... have the family and boats on the wall...

I had the catfish and the daily side specials. My entree portion was smaller than usual, but my guests' portion were what I usually see. Food tasted great. Their hush puppies are great. I enjoyed my visit.Parking: Only a problem when busy at peak times. No handy overflow options.

This is a mom and pop style restaurant with a little flare. At any given time you can find most of your local community in here which is great! Good food. Nice family atmosphere.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I know it's a seafood place but I always order the hamburger steak w/gravy and onions! They have a great list of sides as well. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're ever in or around Pamlico County!Wheelchair accessibility: There booths have open areas where it's easy accessibility to push a wheelchair up to the tables if need be.

Had a good experience here awhile back with their soft shells, but not impressed with the last two visits. Their Clam Chowder is far from being a chowder - the base is gray and watery, certainly no flour, milk, or cream and definitely not tomato based like a Manhattan. It wouldn't even be considered a good soup. Maybe there was a splash of milk added to water to spin the use of the word Chowder. When the waitress came by I pointed at it and started to open my mouth and she already knew what I was going to say. Without me asking anything, she explained it was a "special" chowder. I had only two spoonfuls of it, but was too confused with the quality and explanation of it to be disappointed during the moment and not until after I left.The worst part of the experience was having the cost of using a card passed onto us, some 3.5%, or thereabouts. I would hope the restaurant can argue that it's written somewhere, but a table of six all missed wherever it's reasonably disclosed, if it is. It was like being forced to pay for a surprise attack of something you didn't order. It left another bad taste in my mouth.

My favorite Pamlico County restaurant. Shrimp always excellent, oysters always excellent. The only reason for four stars instead of five stars is that this visit I decided to try the fried crab cakes. They were a disappointment, way to greasy, dripping in fact, and the crab meat was fine, almost minced, no clumps of meat. Based on my previous visits my expectations were much higher. I will be back, but sticking to my usual shrimp and/or oysters.

Ordered shrimp and grits, it was as pitiful. Instead of creamy cheesy grits they were dry with a white sauce poured over it, a handful of shrimp, several thin slices of sausage with onions and peppers. Not at all like other places I have enjoyed shrimp and grits…, not much taste.Will not order that again

When I first starting going to this restaurant for their fried or blackened trout was delicious. Recently though the food has been subpar. I don't know if they have a new cook or switching up their recipe but they should really go back to how it used to be. The waiting staff has been consistently friendly and polite.

Waited for food for 40 minutes in a very cold room. Measured temp at 62.4 degrees. Food never came so we left. Too uncomfortable to eat at that temp. Other people also were cold. It's too bad because they have good food.

So new to the are. Very surprised. Stopped in for dinner because of the name. Mayo. Being the Q-tip head poster boy for the name. I still did not get a discount. But it was well worth the price. Bother the food and the service blue me away. Awesome I'll be back.
