For an inexpensive motel, I was extremely impressed with how clean and updated the room was. When I walked in, u could smell they cleaned the room, too. The bed had no bedbugs, no stained sheets and no holes in the bedspread. The young man at the office was so polite and professional. This establishment got my 5 star rating. Great job management and staff. I would definitely stay here again.

We originally stopped for the night at Americas Express Inn in Rocky Mount, but left at 2 am after finding bed bugs. We stayed here as a last resort and were pleasantly surprised. Yes the place is a little run down and dated. It was also very clean with a comfortable bed. Exactly what we were looking for. This place is an excellent value.I wish we would have just stopped here to begin with.

Needed to stay here last minute at 1:30am after our other hotel reservations fell through and they had one room left. Nice family that runs in. Room was good a little disheveled but I didn’t see any traces of bed bugs which is important to me as I have gotten them before. Not bad at all! $60 we’ll spent. Hot shower and safe place to sleep.

First of all, the check in process was easy and very pleasant. The gentleman that checked us in was very sweet, kind, and welcoming.Secondly, the room MAJORLY exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by a freshly updated room. Very nice, comfy beds. The flooring was brand new. Everything about our room was great! There are absolutely NO bed bugs! My father is an exterminator and has taught me how to spot them. This hotel is very clean and definitely NOT bug infested. I will definitely stay here again!

You get what you pay for. It's a decent room to sleep one night. It was clean enough, a bit rundown, the remote didn't change channels, and there was no toilet paper. However, the front desk was courteous and polite and brought us T.P. and apologized. I'm just glad I didn't pay full price.

The bad things:The relation cost-benefit wasn't the best, the room need mantainance.The breakfast was too basic and the service ends too soon (9 am is very early for many people).The hotel needs new pillows.The room carpet smelled very weird, not good.the good things:The room had a great shower, I loved it.The matresses were very comfortable.The employees were very nice to us.

walk into room no lights available,found one lamp that was unplugged thank goodness it worked, went to lie down and broke out my magnified glass,terrible bed bugs everywhere, I was so grossed out I took a shower and wont you know there was no towels to dry off. I wasted 61$ and only got to stay for 1 hour, this place is a total bed bug infested dive. I got better sleep at the next rest area on 95.. the front desk clerk was very nice, good customer service, but the room was horrible!

I had a chance to stay at this motel on my way to Orlando. Initial room I was given wasn't great as heat was not working. But the later room I was given was lot better in terms of everything. But above all the gentleman and his wife (the owners) were great personality. They apologized for initial trouble, arranged decent breakfast even after breakfast hours. When I have good people around me, I can live with little imperfection of amenities. Also i didn't pay a lot to expect a lot. Clean and warm room is enough for me.

6 of us stayed in the triple room for a nights rest during a long drive to Florida. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the check in was smooth. The people who own the hotel are trying to renovate and make improvements, its a nice place to sleep for the night while on the road. There was a breakfast that looked good but we did not stay long enough to eat, the owners were friendly as was the night check in person. Would stay again!

I see some of the reviews being very negative but I haven’t stayed here since about 2.5 years ago. From where it was then this motel have made an extreme recovery! Room are updated and very nice! Bathrooms is elegant! The price is reasonable and the rooms are a great value for the price! You guys really turned this place around and it looks great!

First room had a roach in the bathroom, went to the front desk to address the situation and ended up getting another room for no charge. Turns out the second room we were assigned to had yellow stains all over the pillow and comforter. Better off going across the street to econolodge and spending the extra 30$. By far the worst "hotel" I've ever been to.

Stayed here a second time en route to our vacation and again well pleased. Awesome to find a hotel with a 'family room' to accommodate us! King bed for hubby and me plus a full bed in same room for kids. Definitely budget friendly, $56 for the night. Convenient location, light continental breakfast, good a/c, comfortable beds. The manager is an absolute delight, you will definitely leave with a smile! He is awesome with customer service, very attentive to providing for our needs. Will definitely stay here yet again when in the area!

Me and my family stayed 3 nights in a room with 3 beds. The room was clean the hotel staff was very nice and accommodating for the few extra things my family requested. I enjoyed my stay. The hotel roomwas reasonably priced their is a ton of places to grab hot meals. Ooh yeah the red carpet inn serves breakfast its good for kids. I will definitely return. Thank you red carpet inn for a wonderful stay

Heat, even on high, barely warmed the rooms. Snowed while there. Outside stairs were NOT salted for the ice and nearly slipped and fell. Had to change one room as bathtub appeared not to have been cleaned as lots of dirt found.

Friendly and polite The room they assigned us we could not open... someone was already in the room, the second room available was clean but smelled like smoke. My nightgown and hair in the morning smelled like cigarettes smoke. Had to place the clothes on a plastic bag so did not stink the clothes in the suitcase.

Nasty. Just plain nasty. I walked in and the first thing I saw was a bug. I probably saw about 6 bugs of these small roach like sorts. There were very long black hairs scattered everywhere. Children were screaming outside our room. The shower was leaky. Ew.

This place is nasty...I was in there for 1 minute and I saw several cockroaches. I immediately went to front desk and asked for a refund, the man was nice enough to inform me that it just had been sprayed by an exterminator and the roaches were coming out...but guess he was nice enough to refund my money.,

We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms where big, clean and nicely decorated. It was walking distance to get food and convenience store. We also brought our dog and he was very welcome and everyone loved him. Plan on staying again on our way back.

The location is perfect. Everything Rockey Mount has to offer is within a 10 minute drive. The rooms are hit or miss. They've been remodeling and it was clearly long overdue. If you get a room that hasn't been remodeled yet it is in terrible condition. The remodeled rooms are satisfactory. The service is also hit or miss. My roommate got into an argument with the female manager over getting a towel. Then again, you can't beat the price. Best rates in town. You just have to decide if it's worth dealing with the cheap experience.

Literally the worse experience ever! Cops literally came in at 1:30 in the morning looking for a guy was scared my life. The location looked sketchy and the parking lot looked a mess. The room was ok but stains on the pillow and looked like they could carry bedbugs. In the morning found a cockroach which was beyond disgusting! I have a picture but I can’t add it

Very quiet and peaceful here. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Had a few problems in the beginning of our stay but they were fixed right away. They have a wonderful security system here that makes us feel very safe as well. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to stay here.

The room was clean staff was friendly. The room smelled a little funny and the bathtub could definitely used a little scrubing i guess. Its an older motel so i didnt expect much there are 3 seperate buildings for the hotel and 2 of them dont get good signal for wifi or the cable. The price was great. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfy never found a pool complimentary breakfast sucked but dennys and waffle house were close.

The place was place was great for the price. But for 40-50$ your not going to get luxury privileges like a soft bed, high quality television, non-smelling room quality breakfast. The one thing I can say is that the people were really nice and tried to make ones stay inviting and pleasurable as possible. They were really nice people but the breakfast was weak.
