One of the real non-tourist shops. Super nice owner.The name says it all,Unique!Not that tourists don't go there, it's just not like 96%of the stores in near-by Chimney Rock. We come here every time we are at the lake. 😀

I love visiting this special shop! You can find the perfect gift for someone or yourself without breaking the bank. Every time I’m there, it’s a trip down memory lane. I am reminded of Sunday lunches with my grandmother (lots of vintage kitchenware and Pyrex) and drives throughout the country when I was a kid (old signs and memorabilia of times long gone). The owners take great pride in their shop and the beautiful area in which it is situated.

I love coming here with my wife and kids! It’s a fun outing to grab lunch or ice cream in Lake Lure and then stop in and peek around this store. It’s a neat way for the kids to get a glimpse of what life was like “back in the day.” And we usually leave with a small treasure or two. The prices are great. My wife loves the jewelry and I get a kick out of the old signs, farm tools and furniture. My son recently picked out a vintage Starsky and Hutch lunchbox. I mean, what else is there to say!! It’s awesome!

Wow! HipHen is my absolute favorite antique/vintage shop in the area! The location is fabulous, right in Bat Cave, close to Lake Lure. The selection is truly incredible. Lynette and Mark have worked tirelessly to find the perfect treasures, many of them local and with fascinating stories behind them. The prices are very fair. I have found the most perfect Pyrex pieces, vintage and local handmade jewelry there. Also, you will see very cool vintage signs and furniture.

This is a super neat little place to stop in Bat Cave. They have lots of unique items. The owner is super friendly and very helpful. Stop in and check this place out. You just may find something you didn’t even know you were looking for.

Whenever we come for vacation we stop in. But now mid February just about everything is closed. Hope they will open up for the weekend. Many shops in chimney rock are closed as well very disappointing.
