This is a wonderful little place to stop in and check out in Bat Cave. The owner is super sweet and helpful. We were able to get some cider frozen from last year’s batch and can’t wait to give it a try. They also had apple jelly which is super hard to find without cinnamon. If you’re in the area I’d definitely recommend dropping in and checking this place out. If you’re in town during the let summer months into fall (August-October) then you can get fresh apple cider to try.

This little gift shop is a lot smaller than it looks from the outside. It has a lot of things in the store. Every inch has a unique something. You can spend a lot of them in this little shop if it has what you are looking for. It has gifts like candy, jelly, fried peanuts, beef jerky, apples, arts & crafts, souvenir t-shirt, etc..., and even apple cider. I purchased several bags of fried peanuts, which I love! I also got a 1/2 gallon apple cider. In the Winter, the Apple cider was still cold after I made a stop and back to the hotel. If you want some apple cider to go, any other season, I recommend bring a cooler. They has apple cider samples. It is worth a quick stop if you are in the Chimney Rock and Lake Lure area.There are signs at the register asking you pay cash if possible. Being a small business, not having to pay the credit card fee helps.

This is a nice quick stop along your way if you find yourself in Bat Cave North Carolina. It's not too far from Chimney Rock State Park. They have some cool things to browse from local crafts to general souvenirs. I'm not sure if the old mill still runs in the summer months but it's still there reaching down into the river beside the shop. They also had fresh local apples and cider when I stopped there in late October.

The lady working here was super nice and gave us the history of the area. We inquired about the area and she was a wonderful source of information. The shop is super cute with lots of different things, including stuff for your pets! The prices were all very reasonable as well. The outside area is very clean and relaxing.

Some nice stuff to buy you wouldn't find elsewhere. Wish they had Apple Cider that was ready to drink now... it is all frozen... so that was a little disappointing.Loved the Apple Barbeque sauce we got.

Love this place! Best homemade apple cider you can get in this are, in my opinion. They do have other items, so when stopping in, make sure to browse around. Super friendly staff.

Off season visit...was able to get some frozen cider as well as some donuts and pumpkin bread...yum, yum! Cute little shop with a pretty view of the river.

Kinda cool but small and not much there. They do stock quite a few jarred goods like jams, jellies, and salsas but its nothing to write hime about. The person that was working there was super nice and helpful

Absolutely hands down the best place to visit if you're in Bat Cave NC. The previous owners I knew very well n we could always catch up on our life 😁 the sad news is the owners sold the Mill so now there is a lack of the family "feel" but..... I met the owner n during this visit after it was sold, I was relieved to see there weren't many changes n the apple cider that they're famous for was still just as good as it use to be. So we shall see. 😜

Great little tucked away place! They have a ton of batman things (of course) and a bunch of locally handmade things as well! You can find something for everyone, even pets! The staff are very friendly,though the place is quite small and at times can get a little crowded.

The cider is really good. The shop has many neat repurposed items. I found some old record albums. The have a small wishing well and kids love that. It needs more parking.

Owners are very friendly and accommodating. We were leaving town at the end of our vacation and wanted to make this our last shopping stop. The store wasn't even open yet but they let us browse through (even while turning a couple others away!). Really diverse and eclectic merchandise, ranging from new commercially manufactured items we didn't see anywhere else, to handmade and antique items. Great shop.

Lovely shop, but not a lot of stuff. Note to the proprietress: you need more stuff to pull people in! Cheap stuff to eat mixed with the more expensive! I didn't buy anything, because I wanted something to drink, more than anything, and your store didn't have anything. Your location is very well placed, but you need to draw more people in! ...just a suggestion...🙂

Came to bat cave just for the hidden cave owned by a billionaire. Couldn't find it but found the cider mill and wasn't disappointed. Would have rated five stars but some clown kept laughing and asking me to sniff his flower

Although i was upset with Batcave being closed fot public and i didnot knew that, however this place is perfect. The lady at the front desk explained me the history of bat cave and why it is being closed. She was super nice and the stuff they have in the store is way more unique than i thought. Definitely will try to come back and buy more stuff, if ever visit Asheville again.

Went here 3 years ago, been thinking about going back ever since!!!!! Unique stuff, EVERYWHERE you look. And cider Mill too!!! Its a twist n turn trip here, you go past Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Scary road, but worth every second. GREAT day!!!! Dogs loved it too.. what's wrong with mountain air??? Hmmm.

Beautiful view and very nice people. Lots of interesting items for sale, but the things that caught my eye were over priced and you expect that in vacation locations. Most items appeared to be made by local artists. The parking is lacking, but that too is to be expected since the location is in the mountains. It's worth stopping in especially if you have children and if not, your taste is probably different than mine. The view is definitely worth it.

Quirky, eclectic and fun describes this shop to a 'T'. Whether you are popping in to get some coveted Bat Cave souvenirs, some local honey, cider, or hand made local crafts, you are going to be glad you stopped! Just the atmosphere of the shop is fun, the shopkeeper is a gem, and she really does have something for everyone. We will make a stop here a regular part of our trips to the area.
