Wow! What an easy, efficient, and quality way to rent your ski equipment! Amazing customer service and they were so quick to get us sized, paid, & out the door to ski! We even rented bibs that worked perfectly for us Floridians who don’t own a ton of ski gear!Best customer service & cheaper by about 10 dollars per item compared to getting in at the ski resort (saved tons of $)! Super impressed and now a customer for life!If you are skiiing in NC at Beech or Sugar…make sure you go to the Ski Shack!

Amazing experience. The prices are really good. Tori and another guy helped me and my cousins out with the rentals and I thought I had a defect on my snowboard but i just didn’t latch the strap properly. They helped me and provided compensation for my obliviousness. Very nice and friendly staff definitely coming again!

I had a great time at the ski shack. Everyone was very encouraging and extremely helpful. Especially Trevor he really made my snowboarding experience amazing, and even gave me some amazing tips that really helped me out in the slopes. And they were always very polite even though I switch outBetween skis and snowboards like 3 times in 2 days. Wonderful people, greats boards, and great prices!!!

Stopped in here to rent some snowboards and gear during our recent vacation. Staff were incredibly helpful and extremely knowledgeable. All the gear was in great shape and at a great price. This will be the only rental shop we go to from now on. Trevor was awesome to work with…cannot recommend enough.

Def recommended this place! We waited two hours at sugar mountain to rent a snowboards and without any organization and lack of workers, people just kept cutting the line. With three hours togo as far as waiting we just went ahead and went down to the bottom of the mountain to this store and we’re in and out in 20 minutes. The workers were very nice and informative on what we needed. Thanks again ski shack! Also by the time we had got back to the top of the mountain which is only ten minutes from the ski shack, the line had not moved one bit from where we were.

This place is the best ski and snowboard rental experience. Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable on both skiing and snowboarding. Even offering great advice for new skiers and snowboarders. Carson was wonderful and helped us with our 2 day rental and even trading out a set skis for a snow board for the second day. Will definitely use them again whenever I come to Sugar mountain and beech mountain.

Nice local rental shop with good folks and friendly people behind the rental counter. The young lady working the register wouldn’t win a cheerful award, but plenty polite. Equipment was clean, newish and quality. They didn’t use any binding release test equipment. Setup was too tight for everyone in our group and wouldn’t release when the kids or wife fell. Wife tore her knee cartilage. I do recommend the shop but suggest insisting on loose setup if you are a new skier.

Most definitely best ski rental place around the area and the best prices you can find. They have a lot of equipment available, I was there over the weekend and rented snowboards and skis, went back and exchanged stuff and every single time the staff was super polite, knowledgeable, friendly and patient. That actually make sure they are giving you equipment suited right for you and will adjust measurements if needed, I have rented equipment from the actual mountain before and this was a 1000 times better. Won’t be renting equipment from anywhere else when I go back.

We were extremely pleased with the service and quality of rental gear from Ski Shack. The staff was attentive and careful in their measurements and assessment of my kids ski equipment needs. We appreciated being able to purchase additional ski supplies needed such as kids goggles, kids mittens, and travel size sunscreen for a sunny day on the slopes. The rental equipment was in outstanding, if not new, condition and care was given to ensure a good fit on helmets, boots, and skis.

No need to shop around - The Ski Shack has it all - the best prices and the best customer service. From the first phone call to renting our gear, both Trevor and Kara were professional, personable and accommodating to us Floridians. As a bonus we met Dozer - a Daniff (Great Dane/Mastiff mix) weighing only 150lbs at 8 months. Looking forward to visiting next year to see how he’s grown - and to rent snow gear!

Great customer service! They personalized our rentals for the whole family and we’re very friendly. This was our kids first time and my wife and I hadn’t been skiing in decades.Recommend buying the $2/day insurance - our son’s ski poles got bent and they swapped them without any question.Highly recommend this place for rentals and saving money over getting them on the slope.

Ski Shack is fantastic. They have some of the best rates in the Sugar Mountain area that we found for rentals, and goggles to purchase at the lowest price around. My husband and I hadn't skied in 15 years, so weren't quite sure what to expect from a rental place, but the crew we interacted with was SO helpful and nice. Easy to talk to, informative, answered our questions, helped us get our boots fitted, and gave us skiing tips. Very nice and didn't make us feel patronized or out of place at all. And they were flexible with rentals if we needed to extend them a day or come back and switch boot sizes. Highly recommend and would rent from them again if we come back!

Trevor was great from a phone call to a shop visit. It was pretty nice renting from a place where they actually appreciate your business! Trevor was such an amazing help! I rented boots but had my own bindings and board that needed assembly. Even with a line out the door on a busy Saturday, Trevor was happy to help me. He had me out the door in less then 20 minutes. I wish he would've accepted my tip, but he said a review is all he wanted so here it is! Highly recommend the Ski Shack!

We would definitely rent gear from the Ski Shack agin. Abby and Trevor were so helpful, kind, attentive, knowledgeable and didn’t rush us. Good prices and the gear was in good shape. Renting off the mountain and the night before is definitely the best way to go. The resort can be a long wait.

LOWEST PRICES, QUALITY EXPERIENCE!! From the time my family walked in the door until the time we walked out , we were treated with hospitality!! The guy Brady or Brody helped us with everything we needed ski wise as well as tourists areas and spots to go to while in town. Could tell he was a leader for all his employees and set good examples for the rest, Mat and DP were excellent as well and very helpful. 10% military discount was granted for our whole family, not just me! Definitely recommend this shop and will be coming back the months ahead.

The three employees there ( 2 guys and a girl) were awesome. They were polite and patient with me and my family. We told them we were going snow tubing for the first time and they fitted us with snow pants (bibs). We have an 11 year old and a 3 year old and they had sizes for all of us. We also picked up gloves for us. They even had youth xxs for my 3 year old. Staff was very friendly. It was $12 each to rent the snow bibs. They have all sizes. They made it easy. Definitely recommended.

Fair prices. Rented snowboard and ski equipment. Nice that most of their snowboard boots have the BOA fasteners. Much better and faster than having to adjust laces.No explanation or help was offered with setting up snowboard bindings for some first time boarders I was with. Not a huge deal but would have been nice if someone explained the equipment.Might just be how slushy the snow was when we went but be prepared for your snowboard boots to get soaked on the inside.
