We’re vacationing in Banner Elk and decided to get our two Mini-Schnauzers groomed because they’re missing their regular grooming appointment at home. Mini-Schnauzer cuts, I imagine, are on the more difficult side, so we weren’t sure how this would turn out with a groomer new to us. Ruth Ann did a better job than our regular dog groomer! She also did it in half the time - which was awesome for our very anxious dogs. We didn’t believe it when she told us it would take 1.5 hrs for 2 dogs - but it did! Our dogs have never been so calm when picked up at the groomer. We wish we were close enough to use her regularly. We will absolutely make an appointment with Ruth Ann next time we visit with our dogs. Highly recommend her services!

My Miniature Schnauzer has been groomed regularly at Ruth Ann’s for over a year. She does an excellent job and listens to what you ask or want. She is very good with my dog and I love the fact he is not sitting in a kennel for hours before and after grooming. He is dropped off at appointment time, receives a full groom and back to me in one hour or less. Couldn’t be happier!

My Trixie’s first visit today went wonderful. So nice & fast. Trixie was nervous at when we first walked in, but when I picked her up…not only was she beautiful, but she was relaxed & seemed like she enjoyed her spa day. Definitely recommend!! & can’t wait to return👍🏻

I’ve been taking my baby, Bella, to Ruth Ann’s for over a year now, and Ruth Ann is wonderful! Unlike many places or the large chains, Ruth Ann does one dog at a time, so it never takes more than an hour. She is professional and reasonably priced, and Bella always looks and smells wonderful. I highly recommend Ruth Ann!!

I took our new rescue, a terrier mix, with out of control hair to Ruth Ann this morning. She gave her the cutest haircut & it was a great experience! We’ve never had dogs that needed more than baths, so were unsure what to expect. Couldn’t be happier! 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

Ruth Ann always makes my girl, Nikita, look amazing! And that is not always easy with an 11 year old labradoodle. I feel so fortunate to have found a wonderful, caring groomer. And I love that Nikita doesn’t have to be there for hours. It’s so nice to have peace of mind that your pet is being well taken care of & not waiting in a crate. Ruth Ann is fabulous!!! She is a talented professional and my dogs always look beautiful. I especially love how I drop them off and get them back quickly. Most cases about one hour for a dog. That’s way better than leaving them so long at other groomers. She is so good with the dogs. They are my babies. They are always excited to she her. I get complements on how beautiful my pups look. Ruth Ann is excellent! We just moved up here seasonally and as we love our long time groomer back home in FL we were cautious about who we would trust to take care of our fur babies. She is kind, reliable and did a wonderful and thorough job for a good price. The place was clean and our furs were comfortable. She only had our 4 yorkies for 2 hours and they look great plus they were all happy. She will be our groomer when we are in NC and we are so thankful we found her.

I was in town visiting for just a couple of weeks and my Dachshund badly needed a full grooming. I called Ruth Ann and she was able to work Tucker in the very next day, thanks to a cancellation, thankfully! Tucker came home smelling wonderful and looking dapper! He loved Ruth Ann too. We have been using Ruth Ann’s Grooming for Seven years now. We were so pleased with the quality of her work we have used her exclusively since the first visit. We have our boys groomed year round. We drop off our boys at the Time of the appointment and she goes to work on them and in most cases they are ready in about an hour. The personal care and attention she gives to them is better than any groomer we have ever used. We are so glad to have a groomer that we trust as much as Ruth Ann !

I took my shitzu, Toby to Ruth Ann's and she did a fantastic job. Toby does not like being groomed, however he did good with Ruth Ann which is a miracle in itself. He was calm when I picked him up and calm on the way home. She was quick and efficient. I will gladly drive from Boone to Ruth Ann's any day. My adult son even commented how good he looks and he favors big dogs. I finally found someone I can trust with my baby dog! Thanks Ruth Ann.

Ruth Ann was amazing with our cat that has never been to a groomer before. She did great with educating us on the different cuts and what would probably work best for his daily needs. Before visiting Ruth Ann, Little One was about 15 pounds of thick long hair. She was able to give him a beautiful lions cut, bathe him and his carrier, clean his ears and trim his nails. He has been strutting his stuff since his visit. Ruth Ann was extremely caring and loving with our fur baby. With this being my very first visit with a groomer and having heard others horror stories on the internet i was terrified. I spent time reading Ruth Ann's reviews and from the moment I spoke with her I knew we had found the perfect person to care for our fur baby. He was ready about 1 hour after drop off and she called us to let us know how it was going. You could tell that he was very comfortable with her and was not upset after at all! He loved her and we did too! Very fair pricing and she was flexible with scheduling which was amazing for us. I learned that it is very difficult to find someone who grooms cats and will also groom a long hair cat. We definitely will return to see Ruth Ann again. 5 star experience!

Ruth Ann is always ready for Blue Genes when we get there. She is very efficient. Always grooms her in a short period of time and calls us the minute she is ready. She does a great job of grooming so Blue looks and feels good when we pick her up. Would certainly recommend Ruth Ann to others.

Ruth Ann is an excellent groomer- I’d go as far as to say she’s done the best job on my girls (13 & 10) EVER! I’m particular and Ruth Ann goes above and beyond my expectations. What a fantastic experience for my almost 10 year old bischon shihtzu and I! Ruth Ann was easy to get a hold of and was able to fit us in last minute! She did a fantastic job with Lily and was super quick! In and out just over an hour! I really liked how there weren't many dogs in there all at once and my dog didn't have to wait in a kennel (like what we've experienced elsewhere). We can't wait to go back to Ruth Ann in the future!

We really like Ruth Ann's grooming. Ruth Ann gives fast good service. Our dog always looks great after his spa day. Be sure to call for an appointment since Ruth Ann only takes a limited number of dogs at a time. She likes to finish each dog within about an hour & a half and she is calling for pickup.

I loved that my dogs were the only dogs being groomed at the time. Ruth Ann was ready at the appointment time and they were done and adorable at the pick up time. No dropping them for half a day as I’ve had to do with other groomers where they spend half the time in a kennel waiting for the next step in the process. They get very anxious so it couldn’t have been more perfect.This is out of town for us but I will be sure to schedule a visit to Banner Elk when they need their next cuts!

Ruth Ann has been grooming our miniature Schnauzer Diesel when we are in Beech Mountain for the last few years. She always gets him in quickly when we called and he is usually ready to be picked up in about one hour. She is the best groomer we have found and has given our groomer here in Charleston South Carolina her technique for cutting our Schnauzer. Although neither of my dogs particularly likes to be groomed, Ruth Ann is very quick and the dogs are groomed and out before they can be unhappy. They look great and I don’t have to wait all day to pick them up. Ruth Ann is an excellent groomer also which makes me very happy.
