What a lovely gem to find in Foscoe (pun slightly intended)…True English high tea tradition meets southern hospitality! Great selection of different teas, authentic British tea cakes, scones, hot cross buns all from a former royal baker; tea sandwiches and delicious cheddar straws. We brought my two girls and grandmother and we loved dressing up, wearing hats and enjoying the experience. We left with full bellies and great memories. We will be back!Kid-friendliness: PS- they do have some alternative tea foods for kids that aren’t on the menu.

My future mother in law and I visited. We got 2 for two. I really enjoyed the blood orange tea. There were many options for teas and the food served was good, we were able to take home the left overs! The service by Adam and Ann was amazing. I highly recommend taking your girl friends for some tea time! I advise making a reservation!

Visited during a recent trip to Banner Elk. While the atmosphere was lovely and the food was good, I felt the portions were small for the price of the tea. For example, only one blueberry scone served and split between two people versus each person getting their own scone. Only served one "special pastry" made by a British baker to split. While I saw online pictures of tea trays full of food, our tray was more tray than food. Again, the experience was not negative; I've visited tearooms across the country, and this one needs a little more work.

Such a pretty place!!! Decorations are amazing, people are fantastic, and everything tastes so good. 100% recommend the pumpkin spice tea if you want a holiday tea. I also love the Dragon Fruit tea and bought a whole bag. Everyone is so nice and welcoming and a great place. The food was perfect, I absolutely loved the jelly and the hot cross buns. The small sandwiches were a perfect touch and they looked like they were from a tea time magazine.Vegetarian options: Most was vegetarian. Very vegetarian friendly.Parking: Good parking. Right off the main road.

We came in and got tea service for 6. It was the highlight of our trip to the mountains as a unique experience and fun for all ages. We had ladies from 21 years to 83 years old and every single person just loved it!!!Make sure to call ahead and get a reservation.We arrived a little early and made our way to the table, then we were cheerily greeted by our server for the tea time. We got to go dress up in hats and pearls. Then we selected 2 types of tea from over 40 choices, and got to sample the tea of the day. Then we started with hot cross buns and scones served with clotted cream to enjoy with the tea. Then came the 3 tiered tray with sweets including divinity, macaroons, batenburg cake, and more! On the bottom were tea sandwiches of cucumber & dill cream cheese, prosciutto & cheese, roast beef & cheese, and salmon & cream cheese. It was all amazing!! I highly recommend this experience and plan to do it again as soon as we can!!

This was the most lovely afternoon tea I have ever been to! We took a bachelorette party for their full afternoon tea and had the best time. The owners were so kind and accommodating for our large party. We absolutely loved the food and they even were able to accommodate a gluten free menu! We will be back anytime we are in town!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options, but call ahead!

We stopped in for a quick bite to eat and stayed for a pot of tea (or two). Adam was incredibly professional and welcoming. Our tea service was fantastic! Afterwards, we walked to the other side of the shop to see Anne in the apothecary. We were thoroughly impressed with the selection of crystals and Anne's knowledge. We stopped by every day of our vacation and felt like visiting friends every time we came in. The additional staff were great and overall, this is now a mandatory stop for us when coming to the Grandfather Mountain area.

What a wonderful way to spend my birthday! My soon to be daughter in law and I had a great experience at the tea room. The selection of tea was amazing and the food was great! We both left feeling relaxed and so well taken care of. Anne and Adam treated us like royalty! We will definitely be back and will be bringing more friends with us.

My friends and I came here today with a reservation and had the most amazing time! The owner Anne was so nice and her team member Adam was so attentive and fun to chat with. They had a great selection of teas and caffeine free options, as well. They also had a good selection of various food items including a gluten free bread option. The decor and atmosphere was very cute and we loved our time here and can’t wait to come back soon!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread option available

Cutest little tea room! They have beautiful tea cups, and the table was set so beautiful. (Candles And flowers). Adam and Anne were very helpful and enthusiastic to make sure our time there was perfect. Great afternoon on a chilly Saturday! Had a wonderful time, will be back again!Vegetarian options: Asked for a vegetarian style sandwiches instead of meat ones for my friend. They had it all prepared perfectly

Had an absolute amazing time!! The service was so nice and everything was very personal. Also went shopping in the crystal shop and everything was reasonably priced. Overall this is a 16/10 experience and I would absolutely do it again or even drive to Banner Elk just for the Tea Room.

No reservations necessary. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon for some tea. They have a nice assortment of loose leaf teas available. We sat by the window in a comfortable little seating area and did a full afternoon tea which included scones, tea sandwiches, and sweets. Clotted cream, real china teacups and plates, and cucumber sandwiches made the experience a pretty solid and legitimate traditional afternoon tea experience.

I was lucky enough to enjoy high tea solo recently at Anne’s Tea House and truly had an amazing time! It is so inviting inside and I was given a cozy spot on the couch. The tea cup and setting was so beautiful, I wanted to start collecting that day. High Tea is truly a experience and filled with tasty treats - delicious roast beef sandwiches, a pipping hot heavenly quiche, yummy nibbles and the best petit four I’ve ever had! Seriously! I loved looking at the crystals, around the shop and through the tea room magazines there to read. It’s a place you can really relax in. Anne and Adam are fantastic, so warm and fun to talk to! They really take time to make everything special. It was great and I’ll be back. I totally recommend going, with a group or solo! 😁

By far our favorite tea room that my wife and I have visited. The "Tea for Two" was very reasonably priced given the quality and variety on offer. All of the finger foods and baked treats were absolutely delicious. The tea selection was quite impressive and Adam was a fantastically personable host guiding us through our experience. They take real pride in their food and service and it shows. The decor is elegant and cozy in just the right measure and they have a neat shop on site as well. They helped give my wife a very special celebratory lunch for her birthday. Very rarely do I come away so impressed, but this place nails it - a true gem in Appalachia.

This is an adorable place that sells healing crystals and other products. The shop is decorated with antiques and the displays are set up nicely. They offer high tea by reservation. I'm definitely going to go on my next trip to the High Country. Staff gave us a sample of the tea of the day. There was a large party having tea. I really wanted to look at what they were eating, but I didn't think they would appreciate me hanging over the table and salivating over their food. <sigh>

My wife and I visited the tea room on a weekday. We messaged them for a reservation at 1230, and both Adam and Ann greated us and made us feel welcome. We had a very pleasant time with them and enjoyed the food and ambiance. We opted for the "Tea for Two," which gives you a nice sampling of treats and tea sandwiches along with multiple options for flavored teas. Overall quite a unique experience in the High Country.

Great selection of tea and yummy food to pair with it. Anne and Adam are so friendly and welcoming! I've been twice with a few friends and can't wait to go back. Prices are a bargain for what you get. The atmosphere is fun and there are hats/boas for kids to wear. There's even a crystal shop next door. Fabulous establishment and management. I can't wait to go back!

The Tea room of Banner Elk is a must for any occasion. Beautiful, quaint and a calming atmosphere while you sip tea and eat delicious little bites. Kind and attentive staff is the icing on the tea cake making the whole experience delightful. Had a spectacular lunch with my girlfriend and made reservations for my mom’s birthday same day, that’s how wonderful I think this hidden little shop is.

What a fun experience! Adam and Anne were the perfect host hostess!! My 4 yo granddaughter, daughter and daughter in law and myself all enjoyed the delicious scones and treats as well as the teas ( we got to chose our own flavors) They were so accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we made beautiful memories! I see this place every time I drive to and from work and I finally had the time to come by last week. I brought my two teenaged nephews with me and we had a great time! The tea we chose was delicious, and the scones were amazing (British scones, not American)! The service was amazing and 100% we will be returning before we have to head back home. (PS, I even got my nephews to dress up in fancy hats, but they would kill me if I posted that to the internet lol)

We just had “Tea for Four” at the Tea Room and had a fantastic time! There were dozens of teas to try; the food was delicious and the service was impeccable. If you’re in the Banner Elk area, you have to treat yourself to an afternoon of pampering here. It’s a memory-making experience😊

Highly would not recommend here to shop for crystals. As soon as my friend and I entered the shop the cashier went into the back. I had picked out two crystals and finally got her to the counter just for her to say they were priced wrong and wanted double. All the other ones on the table had the same price. On top of that the candy gem machine is “broken”, it had no sign or anything on it just got a snappy response that it was broken because of customers twisting it too much. Aha will not return.
