Early Sunday dinner outside. Veronica took good care of us. Food was hot and fresh. Peel and eat shrimp shared as appetizer. Chef special was GF. Scallops, risotto, and veg, very nice. Shrimp and scallops were huge on size. Family had calabash flounder and shrimp. All was good, especially good was the flounder... tasted fresh, not greasy, and cooked just right. Cool spot on the water. Food is decent (average pub food). Service and atmosphere were excellent when we went on a Sunday night, we were seated quickly (despite a bit of a crowd) and our server was great.Wings were tasty. Fish sandwich lacked a little flavor, but was overall good.

The bartender was nice to give us water as we waited for them to open. The staff were all so nice! The grey goose bloody Mary hit the spot. The green tomato and pimento cheese blt was beyond delicious. Overall a perfect lunch spot!

Jule's Salty Grub and Island Pub is a neat and laid back dining experience overlooking the Bald Head Marina. Due to Covid short staffing and a number of large parties we had a 40 minute wait which was fine with us because we could just sit and relax at the outdoor bar and watch the boats come and go from the marina. We were seated outside overlooking the marina and I ordered a delicious Kolsch from their fairly decent beer selection. For my meal I had the Fried Grouper Sandwich which was very tasty and very large - you get two grouper fillets on the bun. Great place to go with friends and unwind.

When the host said there was only one server I was skeptical, but this server was insanely good. Everyone was pitching in and food and drinks were awesome. Shrimp and the special margarita were great.

This was a GREAT overall environment to go with my family for a wonderful meal. Staff was super friendly, our server was excellent, and our food was beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection . 10/10 would recommend!Kid-friendliness: The chicken strips and fries were great for our little one.

Our servers were very attentive, and experienced. The food was delicious. The drinks were really good. First time I tried a Frozen Mojito and it was so surprisingly good . My husband had the salmon I would go back to Jules again and again.Thank you for an awesome dining experience done right!!!I visit many restaurants and it takes a lot to move me to write a review. Come to Jules with managed expectations. You can count on a cool atmosphere at the marina, and of course high prices come with the island. What's disappointing is the gamble on the food. Sometimes it's okay at best. On this visit, the hush puppies were good, but the chicken and pork sandwiches were lower than fast food quality -- just barely edible. I can pay $20+ for a sandwich, but not when it's below average quality.

This is a favorite of our family every time we visit Bald Head. We love the selection and fresh seafood. I loved the sashimi and my daughter had sliders she loved. They have always done a great job will friendly helpful servers. Keep up the great work!

What a nightmare! Waited 2 hours for our meal to finally be served, for it to not be correct. The only resin we wet even able to order, is that I had to go in & ask for someone to take out order, as our water was to busy to come back to us. Could not get a drink, had to go to the bar to get our own drinks. Atmosphere is great, food is good, however they need some sort of a management!!! Every table around us was very upset as well.

Only reason I can't put 5 stars is due to their card system and how it temporarily charged me twice on my dinner. Not a huge deal since it's just a temporary thing and the money never left my account. BUT it did trigger an overdraft charge from my bank, as my account still showed that extra charge for 4 days, costing me an additional $36 on an expensive meal already. That's left a bad touch on a good memory.Highly recommend eating upstairs though. The view is amazing

So most people who have been coming to Bald Head Island know that JSG&IP is the third incarnation of this restaurant. It is in a prime location in the Bald Head Island marina, has a good menu with rotating options, provides great views from outside and the overlook tower, and continues to hire the best servers on the island! Many people complain about the lack of staff, the high prices, and crowds in the summer. Here's a tip: it is the best on the island, so order another beverage and relax! We enjoy coming here in the off-season and have always had excellent service from the staff, as well as good food and drinks. We expect to pay more because we're on vacation, on an island, with a beautiful view, with far fewer people than any other place this beautiful!! In our party were 4 adults and a 7-year old. Our meals were great. So...don't worry about the price, focus on your experience! This was our best on the island.

In BHI for Labor Day weekend. We went to Jules' several times. Food is great, drinks always perfect and service amazing considering the numbers of people they had to serve.Special shout out to SHANE in the bar- he was quick attentive and so personable!Great place! Highly recommend.

We rode the ferry to Bald Head Island with the Executive Chef. We ate a late lunch there, were served by Jackson M. Who was not only a great server but was also entertaining. Told him about riding out with the executive chef, and a few minutes later, he came out and spoke to us. Highly recommend this as a place to grab a bite. My wife had the burger and tots, and I had the Grouper BLT with fries, and both were great.

WOW!! Best place on the island for sure. The food is amazing and the drinks are so fire!! The selection of top shelf liquor is awesome! People complain about the prices, but it is expensive to operate a business in the middle of the ocean! Do yourself a favor and relax grab a drink from the bar ask for Shane or Marco!!!! And make sure you meet the infamous Jules she is AWESOME!!!! She is always wearing glitter eyeshadow and has crazy hair!! This is the best place on the island, so do yourself a favor and go there!!

Our waiter Zion was one of the most hilarious and attentive server we have ever experienced. His sparkling conversation and bold suggestions encouraged us to add cheddar cheese on our burgers. We had a Pepsi situation (ordered Coke) but it ended up being fine because he said that the Pepsi does go well with the Nashville chicken. The wings were spicy and the view was incredible, but Zion was truly the highlight. I hope y’all are lucky enough to get him on your table, you’re bound to have a hoot (or two!) even on the busiest of weekend nights. It gets hungry out out here, and Zion and team can fix that.Wasn’t too salty.

My boyfriend and I stopped into Jules’ on Saturday for a quick drink before catching our ferry. I ordered a deep eddy’s for myself and Jefferson’s with Diet Coke for my boyfriend. When our drinks came, she ran my card and handed me the receipt and it was $63 for our two drinks before tip. I was stunned by the price, I know Jefferson’s is a nice whiskey, but we did not ask for a special batch, and we’ve never paid that for this drink anywhere else. Let alone a sticky pub with poor service. It seems we may have been served from a premium bottle Jefferson’s, but it was never communicated to me by the bar tender. The entire interaction felt sneaky and uncomfortable. My boyfriend had run to the restroom while the drinks were being made, and when he got back, he started drinking his drink, and then she ran my card, and handed me the reader where tip percentages on the screen. I was genuinely caught off guard and picked the lowest tip I saw on the screen, making our total $75 for two drinks. Like I said we were only in there for a few minutes, we left shortly after to make it to the ferry, so I didn’t have time to dispute the charge, and ask what she had poured. We definitely felt like whether or not it was an outright scam, it was definitely really bad business practices at best. And from reading reviews, it seems we’re not alone in negative experiences at this establishment. So anyone visiting, please be aware, the staff at Jules may get creative with your order and have you spend far more than you’re expecting. We won’t be back.

We took a girl's day last week to BHI, shopping and some fun..The big mistake was going to Jules'. I don't recommend it, the food is bland. Ordered oysters on the half shell, serviced room temperature. The shrimp was over cooked (yes, when the outter shelf has white in it). It is a local hang out for the locals who stop for a drink and a Tourist Trap, for visitors. All I can hope for that the Executive "Chief" adds food with favor, etc. Shrimp and grits, crabs fries, shrimp burgers sliders, all with a twist of favor, not just putting it out.

Food was great, ambiance was great and the service was even better! I have a dairy allergy, and they were so great about it! The chef came out to talk to me about the allergy and advise me on what he could make me! The rest of the table ordered an appetizer that had dairy, and the chef brought me out chips and salsa so I could have an appetizer too! It really was above and beyond what anyone has ever done! We will be back!

I'll jump into why this is a 1 star review. I ordered an old fashioned as my first drink, and it was poorly made (a friend commented on how funny it looked), so I decided to order bourbon on the rocks as my second drink. I asked our server (I think his name was Zion - he was great) for a bourbon list and he brought me their hand held POS machine (digital ordering system) to look at. The bourbons had cut off names and no prices. I noticed some had a purple background and some were white, so I asked what the difference was. He said purple was the more expensive stuff, which jived with what I was seeing, so I looked at the white.And I saw "Michter's 10" in White. I drink Michter's bourbon regularly, so I ordered it. And it arrived in a very small pour that I commented on to my friends. And it tasted just like the Michter's I know.We go on having a good time until the bill arrives. I look at mine and see my drink was $90. Not a typo - $90 for one 1.5 oz at most pour of bourbon. I comment on it to Zion, who's eyes get wide, and he says "that's not right - I'll get it fixed."He comes back a short while later and very apologetically tells me the manager said that's the correct price and he can't change it.Now, regular Michter's US1 is a $50 bottle of bourbon, and I mistakenly thought it was a 10 year bourbon, so I didn't think much of the 10 next to it on the machine. And Jules doesn't come across as a place that's going to have really high end bourbon's, so it didn't occur to me that this would be one. And based on the taste, I'm not convinced it wasn't the regular US1. More importantly, nobody said "hey, that's a $90 drink" which certainly didn't go unnoticed as it probably gets ordered like once every few weeks. And I was told the "white" bourbon's on the machine were the less expensive bourbons. And I've never been to a place that carries very high end bourbon's that doesn't have an actual bourbon list with prices.The issue was already bringing down what had been a very fun reunion dinner, so I just paid it at that point.It's just an incredibly immoral way to do business, and I won't return and I will warn others about it.The food was otherwise fine - not great, not bad. And as I mentioned, Zion was a great server otherwise.
