We own a farm in Ayden, and the addition of the Dollar General has made buying our basics much faster, economical, and convenient.The manager (Ryan) is always welcoming and courteous, but this can be said of all staff I’ve encountered. Highly recommend this store!

There were multiple employees stocking but only one cashier with more than 5 people in the line from the time I entered the store until I checked out. I'm a retail manager and customers are to come first. If there is more than 4 people in line and more than one employee (I think I saw at least 3 other employees), someone should've come to help the young man on the register.

I saw a employee that was stocking shelves belittle a very old lady for asking where a product was because she was standing near it... Also you have to check the dates on every single thing in the store yes almost everything seems to be out of... I literally found a whole stack of cookies that expired 17 months ago, took them off the shelf put them in the floor and informed the cashier, she rolled her eyes at me and huffed, next time I was in there they were right back on shelf... Other than those two shoddy employees the rest of the staff seems very nice and Ophelia is super sweet and helpful...

The employees are always nice, pleasant and helpful, but the building is too small, cluttered and not their fault. I say get them a new and bigger building so people can move down the aisle without knocking stuff off and playing cat and mouse with others! Hope the corporate office gets this. Multiple times I've been shorted coin change by cashiers at this store. They get very mad when you confront them about it. I was screamed at by the cashier "F_GGOT" after I confronted cashier. The general manager Richie, continued to let Shanetta(very yellow skin short female) keep her job. The district manager, didn't care and was rude when I called him. They steal money here, and do not like gay people here. Honest story, very upsetting, offered no support from corporate office. Richie and the district manager need to be terminated.

Junky, too much merchandise just sitting, stuff that says clearance is not it is same as what it was on regular shelves just moved to another isle and posted as CLEARANCED. Male staff are friendly and helpful.
