Bluewater is friendly, professional and prompt. Ann Holloway handles our beach rental account and does an exemplary job in keeping clients notified and satisfied. This is our first year using BW and we are happy with this choice. Their property management performance and ability to make us feel like we have local support, gives us comfort in knowing our rental is in caring hands. Thank you, Bluewater!Update.... our December Holiday break was wonderful. AB isn't just for summer, y'all! Fun things going on in the fall and winter, too! We also did the Penguin Polar Plunge on Jan. 1!!! Enjoy.

We are repeat renters. Would have given 5 stars if the rental unit was cleaner. After complaining, they responded quickly to clean heavy mold/mildew from all showers. It really needs a deep cleaning. We don't know how the unit passed inspection. We understand the units turn over each week. However, for the expensive rent you pay, you expect a spotless unit. Toilet seat hinge was broken..again should have been caught by cleaners and replaced.

Loved our cottage through Bluewater. The living space was comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked. I loved having a bathroom for each bedroom AND indoor carpeted stairs (as well as outdoor stairs). The fenced-in back yard was amazing and the walk to the beach was pretty so it didn't seem far at all. The beds were made which was wonderful and the whole house was very nice. We love Emerald Isle and we loved our week at Sea Song.

Stayed at Stay Salty May 15, 2021. This home far exceeded our expectations. The updates were beautiful. It was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with almost anything needed (even a muffin tin for blueberry muffins)! We opted to have the pool heated and it was ready for us on arrival. Right across the street from beach access. My family had a wonderful vacation at Stay Salty and certainly hope to return.

First, let me preface my review by saying that I'm not someone who typically writes reviews, however my family and I had such a poor experience renting from Bluewater this past August that a review is warranted as I hope someone who is considering renting this property will reconsider. I also hope that Bluewater will drop this property from their portfolio if the owner is unwilling to make the updates necessary to make it a livable house. My family and I rented "Oceanfront Escape" (123 Pinewood Circle, Atlantic Beach NC). The photographs of the house on Bluewater’s website are a major misrepresentation of what the house actually looks like. Upon checking into the house we found the following issues which we promptly reported to Bluewater:The house was filthy and smelled of urine and mildew, had black mold in bathrooms and surrounding a number of the vents throughout the house, a deck that was not up to code with a railing missing creating a space large enough for a small child to fall through, damaged and torn furniture in the living room, soiled comforters, sandy and damp dining room chairs, bugs (including cockroaches) both dead and alive in the downstairs bathrooms, no cushions on the outdoor furniture, no gas in the propane tank, and trash strewn outside on the left side of the property.Bluewater promptly sent out a cleaning and maintenance crew to try to remedy some of these issues, but there were certain issues that could not be completely resolved and were just masked. The largest issue being the black mold. While the maintenance team was able to scrub away some of the visible black mold surrounding the vents, black mold is indicative of a much larger issue and is evident of water damage within the walls of the house and is very dangerous to breathe in. Unfortunately, Bluewater informed us that they didn’t have any available properties that could accommodate the size of our group, so we had no other choice but to stay in the house and try to make the best of it. Throughout our stay we also discovered the issues below:- water leaks through the roof and oven hood when it rained, dripping ontothe stove.-Black mold underneath the soap holders in all bathrooms.-A gap in between the deck door and the house.-Broken handle on outdoor shower.-Rusty nails on a rusted out deck, which has not been painted in years.but online the deck is advertised as painted white.-This house is marketed to fit 10 people. However, there were not enoughutensils or plates for that amount of people. For example, there are only8 forks and 8 plates. We were unable to cook a full dinner due to thelack of basic cooking supplies.-Rats surrounding the property outsideWe remained in communication with Bluewater throughout our stay and they sent out a number of maintenance staff throughout our time there to take photos of the issues and to try to fix some of the smaller problems. The cost of this property for the week was over $5k and we asked for a 50% refund, however we were only given $1k back. After reading some of the other Bluewater reviews, I noticed one in particular where the group was given a 50% refund. It’s very disappointing that Bluewater’s evaluation of our refund is only $1k after the experience we had and the dangerous conditions of the property. After renting from Bluewater for a number of summers, we will certainly not be back after this experience and we hope others will reconsider as well.

I rented Oceans 11 for a vacation with my daughter and her family - 4 adults, 4 children. The home was perfect for us! The kitchen was amply stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, the decor was so cute for a beach house, the beds were comfortable. We only wished we had more of an ocean view for sitting on the deck with our early morning coffee. We would definitely rent from Bluewater again (but maybe look for something with that view we longed for! 😉) if we return to this area.

Our family loved the open floor plan and gorgeous views of the ocean from the home and porches. We also enjoyed being located near so many things including great restaurants. From our cottage we could also walk to several things including ice cream. This home is wonderful for a family because the pool, although small, is great and the walk to the ocean is close! We were concerned about being near the pubic access, but that was not a problem at all. Bluewater employees are excellent with which to work which also makes the vacation so nice. Thank you Bluewater! We highly recommend!

Our vacation rental was perfect! The property is very comfortable for our family of 11. With easy walk on accessibility to the beach it is ideal for our 3 small grandchildren. The deck overlooks the ocean and is a perfect place to sit and talk while you watch the sunrise or sunset. The house was recently beautifully renovation and was super clean.

Poor customer service and port attitudes at the office where you pick up your keys. The condo was not ready when we got in it. Paid extra for the beds to be made and towels to be provided. Didn’t happen and no effort made to accommodate when we called. The pictures on the website were very misleading regarding the condo. The balcony was so small only 1 person could be on it at a time. Balcony furniture were filthy and not really useable. The kitchen is actually in the hallway. We have done business with Bluewater since the 90s. This will be our last time renting through themUpdate: they sent an excellent maintenance lady who replaced the 5 light bulbs that were out and made the beds. She was great. Bumping from 1 to 2 stars

This was our third family vacation with Bluewater. We really like Emerald Isle beaches. The Bluewater staff could not be more helpful! This year we stayed at Makes Sense where we enjoyed the large bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, open living and dining space, and covered decks. The pool was a special bonus for our young grandchildren. Three generations enjoyed the amenities available, and we created many great memories.

8/4/22- Updating my comments and chalking it up with a lack of communication with the property owner. The owner controls the thermostat via WiFi or it's been locked out, and 74 degrees is as cool as the temperature gets, despite the temperature and humidity level. Makes one wonder what else is monitored without a tenants knowledge. Bath fixtures need serious maintenance or updating as well as the upper balcony sliding door. Otherwise, it's a tidy place to lay your head, but pricey considering.

At Anchor West is a great place to stay. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay a happy one. Bluewater Vacation Rentals is great to work with. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They make our stay on The Crystal Coast much easier.

Beautiful house! Wonderful location literally steps from the gorgeous beach. This is the best house we have ever stayed in ! The decks alone are outstanding! We stayed outside the entire time! Kitchen is fully stocked but do bring a chefs knife if you are a chef! Love this place,it was our first time on Emerald Isle and we will rent this house over and over again!

Working with Bluewater agency was very easy. All information we needed was easily accessible on the website and communication with the agents was great - no waiting on the line for minutes to get someone on the phone. We liked the app and reminder e-mails about our vacation stay. The property was clean and in very good condition. We didn't have any problems during our stay except the weather :) We will definitely use Bluewater in the future.

SOS 312W is very charming and nicely remodeled. We usually stay in the other West building but this one was great too. We still had a beautiful view of the ocean. (For the longer haired renters, bring extra conditioner because the water is hard!! Lol!) Working with Bluewater was great, as usual! I loved their little get together on Thursday evening!! First time playing Corn Hole!!!

We just left Sound of the Sea 105. Beautiful condo with fantastic beachy decor. Kitchen well stocked, fridge with ice maker & filtered water. King bed was so comfortable. We lived on the deck with great deck chairs and table. All our meals were oceanfront. Fabulous views!! Would highly recommend.

We rented Driftwood Dreams from this company and it was the most unpleasant experience we have ever had in 15+ years of renting homes at the beach. The home was extremely dirty when we arrived, there was a leak in the ceiling, the microwave did not work and when we called Bluewater about it they said they would send someone right out. That never happened. We had to call back and a few days into the trip we finally get a microwave. The house remained filthy and was never cleaned. They gave you enough towels for 1 day which would not have been a big deal had we known the linens provided were only 1 day worth. Do not rent from this company. They are terrible to deal with!!!

Our Oceanfront rental was PERFECT! Well equipped, organized, comfortable and CLEAN!!We did have an issue with the AC, called in the Morning and was serviced before Noon! The vacuum would not work properly, one phone call and it was replaced within 2 hours. SERVICE!!We will rent with Bluewater again! Hopefully the same house!!

I have been using Bluewater for years for my vacations to Emerald Isle and will never use another realty company! Check in/check out is a breeze, it is always easy to get a hold of someone in their office as well. Our vacation homes have always been beautiful and clean. Bluewater is the way to go when vacationing the Crystal Coast.

We recently stayed at Pierless Too in Atlantic Beach. Unfortunately my son in law’s wedding ring was left on the bathroom sink. We had checked out only an hour before we noticed and immediately phoned Bluewater’s office. The person who answered was very dismissive and uninterested in our sad dilemma and said the best she could do was to list it as a lost and found object. Unacceptable!!! She refused to follow through with contacting the cleaning crew as I’m sure they had discovered the ring when they cleaned. So I fault Bluewater’s unprofessional staff as well as the dishonest cleaning crew that they hired. Attempts have been made to contact the owners as I’m sure they would be disturbed to hear how Bluewater handled this very sensitive situation. I would rate this company a zero if there was an option. A police report has been filed.

Dunescape Villas #348 - To be honest, we were slightly concerned about our vacation rental with Bluewater after reading a few negative reviews online. We have stayed in various condos in Dunescape Villas since 2014, buy this was our first time renting with Bluewater. Overall, we had a very positive experience! The condo was beautiful, clean and well equipped with amenities. The condo looked exactly like the pictures posted on the website, so there were no surprises when we arrived. With small children, our biggest concern was a clean condo, but the unit was spotless. We love the location of Dunescape Villas, it is close to restaurants and the grocery store, but the beach and pool are peaceful. The property is well maintained, especially the pool areas. Check in with Bluewater was a breeze, took less than a minute to pick up our packet and keys. Would definitely recommend both Bluewater and this unit.

We had a great week at K Kamp this summer! Keyless check in was a breeze, the house was pet friendly but still very clean, had everything you need for a week at the beach, linens provided was an added bonus. Single floor layout with ramp access was great for our older dog (or any older human family member). It was a short, easy walk to the nearest beach access and the unobstructed ocean view from the deck was great! This house has a vacant lot in front of it so it is third row priced but with a second row view!

The Property Managers, Anne & Amanda are especially helpful and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to investment properties along The Crystal Coast. Wow! My review on the 5 Pines Canal page was totally modified by Bluewater Realty. They left out my suggestions and other things about this house. I will include here.The house had NO Wii. It is listed in the description. We reported it but never received it. The house needs more personal touches in my opinion. There are 2 puzzles and a deck of cards for rainy days. Suggestions would be board games and DVDs since there is a DVD player and NO DVDS. There is no guest book in the house. The yard is NOT fenced in completely, the side yards are but around the dock there is no barrier. The day after we left to come home, we got a call from Bluewater asking us about a missing cable box. We live out of town and have no use for a cable box. Weird. And if you have a boat, I hope you have better luck finding a public boat ramp to dock your boat at the house. The Marina was suggested to us by Bluewater but you CAN NOT use it! We asked 4 different people at Bluewater and no one had any knowledge as to where we could launch our boat. We drove around on our first day and found a nice man who said we could use his. Wasted time though.The house is very nice. The boat dock was amazing. Sitting on the back porch was so relaxing watching the boats go by. House was well equipped. The description of fenced yard is only partial. The dock area is not fenced in, only the side yards. AC worked great. Seating comfortable. House says 3 bedrooms but there actually is a 4th room with bunk beds and a TV with sitting area. Very nice. Kitchen has everything you need. Huge shower in master bathroom. Beds comfy. Was a nice week!

Pat and Alison are wonderful and extremely helpful when selling our condos and buying our home. Anne has capably taken over Alison's old duties dealing with guests. Sam, in maintenance is a real gem. All the Bluewater staff, can't name them all, have been great. The pool sparkles. Best thing I ever did was picking them as my management company. Had some bad experiences before signing on with Bluewater. Also, thanks to Anthony for getting our house up and running after the hurricane.

K Kamp at Emerald Isle was nice. The keyless entry is great! All bedrooms are a very good size. The outside shower has hot/cold water which is great so you don't freeze trying to get the sand off. Underneath the house is a great place for kids to play and adults to hang out without being in the sun. The window in the living room does allow views of the ocean and you can hear the waves when sitting on the deck. The deck is very nice with lots of chairs. The deck does have gates to keep small kids from leaving the deck area

Great porches with comfortable furniture, and great views. Nice large living space with plenty of seating. The TVs were easy to use and we could find our ball games. Location is perfect, It is away from the crowds but just 10 houses away if you want to people watch. I would give this house 5 stars except for no ice maker and the dishwasher is not worth using.

Loved the covered porch the most! The house is right on the beach-just a short walk down the steps. The house had plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas and a gas grill. The kitchen was stocked very well with dishes, utensils, pots and pans. We decided to get the linen package and we are glad we did. We will definitely stay here again.
