I was turning onto Fort Macon Road this past Saturday, being careful because one lane is closed off for roadwork. We all keep the speed low to allow a runner to cross the road and this Vacasa van steps on the gas to squeeze between my car and the road barrels to speed ahead and pass me, almost hitting the runner. If you can't respect the community, stay off the island.

Never again. A/C not working, floors dirty, and generally worn out. Regarding the A/C...customer support has me flipping breakers, changing batteries in thermostat. The A/C wasnt working when I got here and nobody checked it before arrival.The pic is with the A/C "running" for 15 hrs

Making reservations with this company has been a nightmare. Trying to book 2 condos for my family. One of the units was making me choose a check out date one day before the other, even though the unit was available and not rented out that next week. When I was within 2.5 weeks of check in, I called to see if I could add the additional night since that unit was still available and not rented out. Very long story short, the answer was no. When I asked if they could call the property owner and see if they would let me add the night, also no. When I asked if the unit was still unrented when I check in if I could add it, still no. Even unwilling to check with owner to see if this was possible. When this was Atlantic Beach Realty, they always worked with me in these situations and I was usually able to add an extra night. Steer clear and check with Bluewater Vacations before venturing to this company. I had a much better experience with them last year.

Despite having a good experience in the past, Aug 2021 our rental home had significant water damage from a leaking pipe with drywall partially cut out, stairwell railing inside pulled off wall, and molding drywall on first floor from the leak that had been stopped.I was stunned at the condition of the property on arrival and immediately contacted the office. The response from management: “I’m sorry, but there is nothing we can do about it”. I asked for a new unit which they didn’t have available and I asked for a partial refund of my rental amount due to the poor condition of the house.I was told by management “we can’t do that”. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CON ARTISTS. Horrible experience.

We have never had any issues with Atlantic Beach Realty. They offer a good selection of homes. The one time we were a little disappointed was during a recent cancelation attempt due to an unforseen event. We should have paid more attention to the policy.. Make sure you read their policy and get the reservation insurance.

When we got to our first rental property, the air conditioning was broken and the room was very hot. There were roaches on the hot water heater and in our week stay we have seen a total of 5 roaches between our two properties. Now we did have a beautiful condo and we loved having the ocean front balcony; however, the responses from the realty company were unprofessional. They told us specific times when the pool would be open and they were completely different from what the property has posted. At one point the property didn’t even open the pool when it was supposed to. In conclusion, I will not be renting from Atlantic beach realty ever again! And I advise anyone who is looking at them to stay away and find someone else!

Our family has been renting from Atlantic Beach Realty for the past 15 years. Up until this past year we loved using them! I can now say dealing with their employees is a traumatic and exhausting experience. Their customer service and treatment of clients is disrespectful and ludicrous. Calling to ask for rental dates and being scuffed off- told “we don’t do partial weeks” when it is listed clearly on their website with available properties and dates. I am ashamed of the way I was treated- no human should be spoken to that way. Shame on you Atlantic Beach Realty, shame on you.

Would recommend every one especially family to use the service they provide. 20 years I have been working with this agency, trust me I am not easy to deal with and they have always been professional, polite and accommodating. I'm reviewing on this forum because I believe this company removed the review section from their Facebook page. As I said before I only gave 1 star because zero was not an option. When our family moved into our rental we were met with a mold/mildew stench in the bottom level bedroom. After having the cleaning crew and maintaince check the situation and state that they also noted the strong odor, nothing was done. I personally spoke with Heather who was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I was told that I had a sensitive smell and that they would not be doing anything to help us because none of the crew reported a smell (which was a lie). My family was forced to share rooms when we paid good money to utilize all of the beds. Three days into the trip there was a heavy rain storm which flooded the second level master through the sliding glass door which then ran down through the ceiling onto the ground floor bedroom that had the original water damage issues. The house was obviously inhabitable at this point and we were told to vacate the house with ZERO refund. At 4pm we had to scramble to find a new rental and pay out of pocket for a partial week stay with ZERO assistance from Heather. Also, during the move we had to drive through torrential downpours with flooded roads. I have never been so disappointed with a rental company. I hope this review prevents any other family from renting through these people!

My family recently rented a condo from you. While the location was great, the condo was not. Best I can say is that air conditioning worked well. Some of these issues are for you but I realize that some are for owners. However, I hold you responsible for them all. You should be in better touch with your owners to ensure they meet certain standards.The issues I speak of are:old food left in the kitchen sink draindirty towel left hanging in bathroomold loafers left under coffee table (assume wasn't vacuumed there)drawer in refrigerator broken so couldn't openbottom of dish washer fallen offnot enough sheets for the bedsodor inside dresser drawersdryer makes horrible racketmold on shower curtainkitchen sink tap taped togetherfilthy balconyall but no wifiIt will be a long time before renting from you again...if ever.

I live here, so am able to "shop around." I needed a winter rental for my mother. Service at ABR is excellent, they found her the perfect place. Upon arrival and settling in over a week, they have responded to even the most minor concern by sending a service provider within the same day!
