Went to get my coivd test and they told me their website was down and that they were unable to administer the test. Not only was it a waste of time, but they offered no help as far as offering alternative solutions or giving a timeframe on when they might be able to do the test. I needed this test completed to be able to return to work and buying the at home tests are expensive. Instead of a "hey we're gonna try to figure this out for you" I was met with a "Too bad, better luck next time" attitude.

The wait times in the pharmacy are absolutely horrendous. The staff has been accommodating and lovely when you finally get a chance to speak and see them. Hopefully they can get some more people to help them. But the wait for prescriptions and even COVID vaccine and boosters are well within an hour or over.*Edit* Times and waits have significantly gotten better with time.

Needed Covid test today. When I get to my appointment they tell me they ran out of test. Next time call someone and let them know. It was too late to schedule appointment somewhere else today.

I miss Walgreens when it was Kerr drugs. They had good people working and they were friendly and kind people. They were thoughtful and considerate. I went in there one time and there was a fight because the girl that was working at the cash register was deaf and the customer didn’t know it and thought she was rude and got into a fight. Don’t go into the store. The store is not what it used to be. The people in there are so rude and strange. I’m switching to B and B pharmacy on Hayward Road. If you live in West Asheville I hope you do the same. Send a message to Walgreen. We’re not going to shop there anymore.

I wish I could give this place zero stars because it is without question the absolute worst pharmacy in town, every visit you will encounter the most unfriendly, nastiest rudest staff including the pharmacist (Ryan). Unfortunately I’ve been using this pharmacy for at least 3 years but somehow just recently my account was switched to my partners which caused me to not receive text message alerts for my prescription pickups but Ryan (pharmacist) tried to blame the error on me and stated that I had to be the one who accepted the terms for the text which I did not-even my address was wrong on the account-like who purposely puts the wrong address or phone number on an account knowing you need medication. IdiotsEach employee there is obviously experiencing burnout or just complete unhappiness in their job and it’s creates a horrible experience(s) picking up medication. Oh and don’t waste your time going through the drive through because you’ll be completely ignored or with an even longer wait. Sad pharmacy/sad staff-take your frustrations out on Walgreens and not customers. Horrible horrible bottom pit customer service. If all possible get your scripts somewhere else.

This has got to be the worst pharmacy I’ve ever used. I never had issues getting my meds refilled with Walgreens until I moved and switched to this location, then it was nothing but problems. Staff were extremely rude and unhelpful every visit. They claim “insurance issues” when there are no insurance issues. I’ve had to go without some important meds a couple times because they couldn’t get it together enough to refill them. Today I went in to verify my insurance, then got notice of more “insurance issues” and spent 2 hours on the phone on hold and being disconnected, and got nothing accomplished. Finally I told them to forget it and called the location on New Leicester Highway and got everything resolved in under 15 minutes and my meds will be ready by this evening. Don’t waste your time or risk your health here. I never write reviews, but this is ridiculous.

Once this pharmacy had respectable wait times. The pandemic demolished any sense of service here - or at least any sense of urgency. Last time I waited 15 minutes at the drive-thru window before the staff even acknowledged me. Standing inside isn't better - that's what I tried this time. I feel sorry for the staff - they are too few and undersupported. They're pleasant when you talk to them, but you can tell they're stretched thin. There's new staff every time I go in - I'm guessing it's because of light-speed turnover. Overall, it's become a horrendous experience and I recommend doing business with a pharmacy that cares about their staff and customers.

The pharmacy staff was just amazingly rude to me when I asked for a same day vaccine. The pharmacy was closed yesterday when I was supposed to get my vaccine. No one called me to tell me which is infuriating and so I showed up the next day asking what happened and if I could get my vaccine and they just told me that I'd have to come back another day and they couldn't give it to me even though they missed my appointment. No explanation no apology no sympathy whatsoever. I have to have this. And I missed work twice now trying to get it.

As of today I have officially switched pharmacies and finally feel as though I can write this review. Frist I want to say that I never write negative reviews because I've worked in customer service and I know the struggle of being understaffed and overworked... but this place is so bad that I have to discourage others from using them. The Walgreens on Patton is far and away the worst pharmacy I've ever used, in any country, and one of the least competently ran businesses I've ever witnessed.Every experience of being their customer over the past 6 months has been comically frustrating. It does not matter how far in advance you call about your script, chances are they're not going to start to fill you until you physically show up. Then you get the same message of "oh, it'll be ten minutes" only for you to come back, wait in the 20 person deep line, and have them scramble to get it ready once you're back at the counter. Before I finally switched it had gotten to the point where I didn't bother going between the hours of 9-5 because I knew they'd make me late for work. I once called two days in advance to have my scripts ready at 9 am... I was there in line at 9 and it still took until 10:30 for them to finally get everything ready. Every month I somehow forgot how bad this pharmacy is and gave them another shot.If you depend, in any way, on prescription medication then I urge you to not use this pharmacy unless you have amble free time and really enjoy other people disappointing you.

Terrible wait times, burnt out staff, borderline inaccessible drive through, incorrectly filled prescriptions, 5 out of 10 cleanliness.I work in customer service. I know how tough it can be when you have a line out the door and a thousand tasks to complete but it's quite obvious something is wrong here. Every time I walk in the staff is incredibly busy yet everything takes an excessive amount of time. The staff looks like they've given up. They're just there working through the motions and putting just enough effort in to get their paycheck. Now I don't know what the employees make here but it's obviously not enough. They need at least one additional worker in the back at all times and someone in a management role that's capable of instituting organizational systems so they're not swamped at all times. I can't completely blame the employees for being short with me or rude, but their life is in their hands. Being overworked, underpaid, and unsupported? Quit. All the employees should find another pharmacy to work at and let Wallgreens panic and hire new staff. You'll be happier, and when Wallgreens gets the hit to the wallet and finally fixes everything the customers will be happier. JUST QUIT!!

Avoid! Especially if you need Friday pickup (they close on weekends and do not care if you get your meds). I understand being understaffed and hope their corporate office recognizes the need. People need their prescriptions! I can’t wait on y’all for three days!

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever used. I recently dropped off three prescriptions and asked my husband to pick up them on his way home from work. I didn't tell him what they were or how many. He bought home four. The fourth one was $120.00 and something I didn't need. I went back the next day and they refused to take it back even though it was their mistake. They said that my husband had to refuse it at the time of pickup. How was he to know. I'm now switching pharmacies. Then worst pharmacy ever.

I recently transferred my prescriptions to this Walgreens, the BIGGEST mistake I have ever done. I will move my prescriptions to another Walgreens. They never ever answers phone calls ( which I have called 3x with me being on hold more then 45 min before it hangs up), they have poor customer service, they never have my prescriptions ready. They don't put any effort to help you if there is an issue and they ALWAYS have an attitude. If there an issue and you trying to speak to them they talk over you and ignores you. I've been there twice and I will never go there again! If you hate your job so much don't work there!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!

I love Spring (the season)…but Spring (the person who works in the pharmacy) was not so bright and sunny. She was very rude. I would recommend going to a different Walgreens.

I've used this pharmacy for years, and been happy with them until now. I'm assuming the employment issues that are affecting all lower wage employers are at play here too. Huge wait times, common medicines out of stock, lines, lines, lines. The automated system is wrong about when our medicines are ready. Everyone who works here has been kind and helpful. This seems like a systemic failure. If possible, you should find a different place to fill your medications.

Dropped off a prescription for insulin that we needed to start tomorrow after calling to ask the prices and if they had it in the store. Arrived at the drivethru and was quoted one price and we told them we would returning in about an hour, had an errand to run. Arrived to get the medicine and was told they gave us the wrong price and might be about to get the quoted medicine by Tuesday, Monday if we were luck. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. We needed the medicine so we had to price the price. The cashier advised they could refund the cost if we returned the medicine before we left the store, but once we left it was too late.

Don’t bother for controlled meds. I’ve been at this pharmacy for 2 months since my insurance quit CVS. Their phone system has been broken the entire time. I have to show up IN PERSON at least 3 times for each refill to 1)reorder, 2)find out my meds aren’t ready, 3)stage a protest to get them filled after DAYS (at least 2-4) of waiting. Chronically understaffed & under-resourced, worse-case pharmacy example of our broken health care system. Nice people, trying hard, but Corporate Walgreens apparently sucks.

This pharmacy is starting to get on my nerves. First of all let's talk about the drive-thru. The first time I drove through I scratched up my car. If you don't maneuver just right it'll happen to you too!! Then it takes forever for anyone to acknowledge you. Not even and "I'll be with you in a moment"... I've had issues with getting my medications when I'm supposed to have them and they argue with you about the dates when you last got them when you clearly have the date on your pill bottle. Then I tried to call them and I was on hold for 25 minutes. First it said there were three people ahead of me, then two, then one, then it kept saying that they were helping other people and I got in my car drove over to the pharmacy and as I was turning into the drive-thru they hung up on me. I told the person at the drive-thru and she said oh that's our system, I apologize. Seriously?! I never had an issue with the Walgreens in the last state that I lived in.

The pharmacist, Amelia, seems to find her only joy in regulating the dispensation of medications, despite what YOUR doctor says. I think it's a control thing.Example: the doctor sends a prescription on the day you're supposed to have a refill. That particular pharmacist then decides not to dispense it until 2 days later, citing 'legal' limitations. This is a danger to the patient's health and well-being! How can a doctor, who is ABOVE a pharmacist in the medical hierarchy, not have authority over when a medication is dispensed? My doctor has had to call multiple times to tell her that, yes, I need this medication today. It's always a hassle.Several months in a row, my medication has been delayed by DAYS because of her own PERSONAL BIAS against certain medications, and i have felt very *judged* by her in the process. I will not be coming back to this pharmacy, and I highly recommend you also find an alternative option. Amelia is not a good, or safe option. I can't say anything about the other pharmacists working there, and to be fair, an employee named Yvonne is the sweetest and nicest person ever.Find another pharmacy. I have found the Ingles on Smokey Park to be more hospitable, more kind, less judgmental (Amelia!) more sensitive to the patient's needs, and generally just a better pharmacy.Walgreens is great for soap and cheap makeup, but definitely skip that pharmacy, for SAFETY'S SAKE!

I've used this pharmacy for the last ten years with no problems until the last several months. I was just on hold with them for 75 minutes when the call was dropped. This is the second time this has happened this month. Prescriptions that used to be ready in hours now take days (if you're lucky). I guess it is due to COVID-related staffing problems? I was trying to wait it out but nothing has gotten better so I'm transferring to B&B!

This Walgreens pharmacy is horrible. Do not go here! Customer service is horrific. Their hours are ridiculous and they seem to always be closed. More times than not they do not have the medication needed. I don’t know what happened with management or staffing but the customer service has gone to hell in the last year. I have decided to take my business elsewhere.

If I could give a zero star rating I would. I came recently for a prescription and was told to come back the next week for the remaining rx. I received a call that my Rx was ready. Well when I arrived to get my Rx I'm told no one knew what happened and they hadn't received the rest of them even though they put the order in. Well here I am today just to pick up d*** Tamiflu. Went through the drive through and was told it would be another hour. Came back over an hour later and was told it would be another hour. Was told by the Shift Lead who's name is Lib that I could find someone to come help work and sorry that I was having health issues ( which was very smart and sarcastic). Let's just say Jesus is with me.

I've lived up and down the east coast over the last 10 years now and gone to easily a dozen different Walgreens for my prescriptions and this is without a doubt the WORST Walgreens location in regards to customer service and fast, professional service. Will definitely be taking my business to a different Walgreens after I went here this evening to find the pharmacy closed for the night well before 9PM. Terrible management running this location!

The pharmacy customer service here is incredible. They so kindly and patiently helped to troubleshoot an issue I had getting my Rx delivered. I had to call a couple of times and they ultimately had to reset the whole thing in order to help me out. But they communicate so nicely and so clearly that a situation that should have been really frustrating turned out great.

From waiting in line 45 min to them losing prescriptions to navigating the impossible drive thru, this is hands down the worst pharmacy I have ever used. They are grossly understaffed & disorganized. Most of the staff are nice.

Make sure you count your pills from the pharmacy before you leave the building because they messed up on my daughters medication and gave her 5 less. An hour later when she politely called and told them it was incorrect they said they would check into it and called her back and said it was right but it was not. They wouldn't admit they messed up even though it is medication she must take daily and now will be 5 days short. She had no reason to lie about it but apparently they do.

This area of town is generally irritating and Walgreen's is no exception. My prescription was lost on 3 separate occasions. Twice, nice employees helped me and found my prescription. On the third occasion, the person on the phone would not help or think of solutions to the problems - I had to offer suggestions and possibilities. She acted generally judgmental about my prescription type, like she was disgusted with me and didn't want to deal with me. She also blamed the lost prescription on me multiple times. I ended up working with my doctor to transfer it. Also, before this incident, I had a friend pick up my prescription for me and someone again acted judgmental and insulted them, said the prescription was never called in, told them they were a liar for thinking the prescription was ready... Just all around a bunch of rude hateful people that I'm super happy not to be dealing with anymore.

I was sent a text about a refill I followed the directions and it tells me its invalid. So I call I'm told I have to officially tell the pharmacist to refill it , so what's the point of the text ????I get placed on hold for 30 min . 30 min of my time wasted . This place needs to get it together. And the issue is still not resolved .I guess I'll have to officially go in and tell them to fill it . What a joke !

Waited the two days and checked again and it said it wouldn’t be available for ANOTHER two days.don’t waste your time. go to the one on merrimon.

Removed my prescription from Walgreens Pharmacy today. A pharmacy should have one priority: to dispense physician's ordered medication, with correct dosage, route and side effects. Most importantly the medication should be given to the CORRECT PERSON. Three times this corporate drug store has mistaken me for another customer with my name. It is most disconcerting, one incident is understandable however repeated mistakes of this kind should rarely happen, if measures are in place to ID and eliminate such serious errors. I believe these incidents among many others made in today's market place reflect, over reaching, massive ownership fueled by corporate greed, and malice. The corporate pharmaceutics CO, overbuild greedy Pharmacy i.e.. Walgreens, and increasing centralized capitalistic insurance options are putting the squeeze on their employee's and the consumers they try to service.
