We’ve used Pet Vet on Patton for over 10 years. The doctors have always been wonderful and listened to any concerns and questions. I never felt judged regarding budget when money got tight at times. We also have used their daycare services and boarding. We LOVE the daycare and boarding! Our current dog Briscoe gets so excited when he gets to visit. We even moved over an hour away and still use Pet Vet!

Outstanding customer service and medical care. Excellent understanding of breed-specific health issues as related to my Dobermans and Lab. I highly recommend this practice. I had tried 4 other practices before the Pet Vet On Patton and my dogs receive so much better care here. Dr. Allgood, my dogs primary vet, is a gem.

Everyone at this office cares about and deeply loves animals. They are knowledgeable and professional, compassionate and caring. I don't know where this practice finds such a rotation of professionals, but every time I see a new face, they provide an unwavering standard of care. I wish I didn't have to turn around on Patton to leave, but that's not really their fault.

I got a new rescue, Tiny, and needed to get her seen right away and they had one open appointment for the day. That was amazing, and they were GREAT. I'll def be bringing my dogs here. I've been taking my older dog to another place, but will be changing that soon. They were so sweet and helpful. I felt like Tiny was really taken care of. Great team. Highly recommended!

This place is more EXPENSIVE than most. I was a customer of this place for 14 years but I have found a more affordable vet. I had been taking my dogs to Pet Vet since 2010, so I had been a loyal client for over a decade, even after an error that placed my oldest dog's health at risk. Ever since the practice was sold by Dr. Osborne, the prices have gone up at an unreasonable pace and they try to sell services that honestly are unnecessary.I know taking my business elsewhere is not going to affect this place's bottom line, but if you're looking for quality vet services at a reasonable price, I suggest you call around. I did some research and All Pets Animal Hospital is a great option. W. Asheville Family Vet would be second.

I have been taking my two labrador retrievers to Pet Vet on Patton for almost 10 years. The Place is clean, cheerful and well designed for dogs and cats who need boarding and daycare. The daycare staff and Michelle, the vet assistant are very caring. Dogs have a great place to be safe and are even separated by age and size and well watched over. The front desk staff, (Alyssa and colleagues) are also very helpful and organized. Last, but not least Drs. Allgood And Peluselli handled my dogs’ serious issues with empathy and clarity. I highly recommend Pet Vet on Patton for all your pets’ needs.

We couldn’t ask for a better pet hospital! Dr. Allgood is knowledgeable, understanding, and always kind. The entire staff are friendly, and treat our dogs so good every time we’re in. 10/10 recommend and appreciate Pet Vet for all they have done for our fur babies, Zoey and Wyatt, over the years.

The staff is so kind and friendly ! Both the doctor and assistant were so gentle with my cat through her exam. And thoroughly gave me all the options they had for what was going on, along with clear explanations. They addressed my main issues and more. They even called a few days later just to check in on my cat and see how she was doing ! I’m so glad I trusted them with my pet, they treated my cat as if she was their own ! Along with great and reasonable prices , I will definitely be taking my pets here for anything they need !

I’ve taken my dog & 2 cats to this practice for about 3 years. I’m very satisfied with the vet care received there, with the convenient hours (especially long hours on Saturday) … and they are usually able to get me an appointment on short notice, if needed. The vets , techs, and support staff are all very friendly, professional, and polite. My one complaint is that their prices have gone up significantly since I started going there. I understand that costs do go up over time, but I feel some services at Pet Vet are overpriced now, disproportionately with the general trend of rising costs. It used to cost me $35 total to take my 2 cats for nail trims. Now it costs me more than double, total of $74!! For what is only a 5 minute vet tech procedure for each cat. I think that’s WAY out of line. This cost trend (and in particular overpriced nail trims) has me seriously contemplating looking into trying a different vet. If asked whether I’d recommend this vet to others, I would tell them to compare costs carefully before making a decision.

We just moved to the area and needed unexpected boarding for our 2 fur babies. Most kennels we called didn’t answer their phones, or if they did, were quick to turn us away. PetVet not only understood our acute need, but worked with us to make it happen. We will be back and will recommend them first if anyone asks for recommendations.

I took my cat here for a second opinion concerning a surgery. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the time everyone took to answer my questions, the estimated quote for the surgery (significantly less than I expected), and the expertise of the veterinarians I spoke to. 100% worth the drive and traffic and I would recommend them to anyone.

I have recommended this place to multiple people. They go above and beyond and are super transparent about options and pricing. Every time my dog needs to be seen, they are quick to get him in, so no waiting weeks or considering and emergency vet. I took my dog recently for a hematoma in his ear and mentioned I was in school and trying to save money and they were super patient and walked me through the expenses and options , which again, is a relief so I don’t have a surprise when it comes to paying. To top it off the staff go above and beyond for you and your pet, they are amazing. I won’t take my dog anywhere else.

Had to euthanize my long time best friend recently. Pet vet made the process smooth. Difficult as it was to let go they eased the suffering of both myself and my now former companion with the great deal of care they put into their work. Thorough and compassionate is how I would describe every employee I encountered at this facility. I give all the stars to the lovely people who work here. I could write pages about how appreciative I am for their kindness. Just know they're worth the money.

I’ve had some issues with communicating with the doctors and front desk. My cat is very high anxiety (and diabetic) and I have two medications he gets before any vet visits. I had set him up for boarding and asked that they check his blood while he was there for day boarding. They attempted to contact me via email around 11 am and they said they called (my phone didn’t receive the calls for some reason) because when they tried to get my cat out of his carrier he was extremely upset and started having loose stool. They didn’t hear from me until 4 pm when I called to cancel the next day boarding and the front desk didn’t mention anything to me about my cat having trouble with boarding. So when I arrived I found out that my cat had been left in his carrier caked in pee and poop all day because they couldn’t get a hold of me. I also had to wait an hour from when I arrived to speak with the doctor about what had happened that day. When I asked why they didn’t attempt to contact me again throughout the day, even though I had no missed calls from them on my phone, they told me they attempted to call me. I was extremely disappointed that they didn’t try to contact me more persistently to let me know what was going on. I was also very disappointed that my cat was left that way for around 6 hours and that he was hissing at me when I got him.I was initially very happy with their care for my cat but I am unsure if this is the right practice for us. It seems that we’re hearing the same things from the doctor and coming in every few months to do the same. When I asked recently about trying to look at his blood glucose with the curve that they suggest, offering to bring my cat in for two separate blood draws, I was told that they typically don’t do that. So I have to either pay for an expensive test that doesn’t tell us all the information we need or I have to by a freestyle libre that my cat might knock off within 24 hours. I know anxious diabetic cats are difficult but I am struggling to feel heard in a way that feels productive for me or my little man.

The care my dog and I received over the last year, especially at our most recent appointment, has been very compassionate and attentive. Really appreciate Dr Allgood and Ruby’s kindness and thoroughness. We recently moved to the Asheville area and a friend highly recommended PetVet on Patton. Not only was it beyond easy to go on their website and book an appointment but the staff were very friendly, very organized, once I arrived we were taken back right away to the examining room and found their facility to be very clean. I also can not say enough about how wonderful Dr. Mary Lynn Paluselli is! Dr. Paluselli made my 2 year old Bernedoodle Georgie feel welcome and at ease. She spent a lot of time with us and we never felt rushed. Dr. P was very thorough in the examination and explained everything to me very clearly. I had a wonderful first visit and am completely satisfied that we have found such great care here in Asheville.

Pet Vet on Patton is wonderful, I highly recommend them! We’re staying in the area for a few weeks and needed to bring in our dog. Very impressed with this vet! It was my first time taking my dog here, in a somewhat urgent situation I might add. They immediately made her an apt despite it being a Saturday. The staff were SUPER nice, didn’t act like we were a bother (like I’ve had at other vets) and the doctor was AWESOME! Didn’t even act like a DVM, I thought she was another assistant, that’s how “down to earth she was”. Very informative and even offered a suggestion that saved us a little money on meds! Highly recommend!

I can't say enough about how responsive and attentive the Dr's and staff are at The Pet Vet on Patton. They're patient, knowledgeable, and provide one with the options that are available for treatment and care. They've been fantastic with getting Cooper feeling well for her big day in our wedding, making sure that she's up to date with her vaccines, and we'll be using their boarding as we travel out of state for the reception. A practice that appears to be driven by love for animals and not greed for money. You still have to pay handsomely for top notch medical care at Pet Vet on Patton, but the pet owner is consulted and opinions considered every step of the way. And all the while the patient (your pet) is being loved-on and fed treats by staff who clearly love animals and understand their unique personalities and quirks. One more thing. The wait time is minimal. A big bonus in this busy world.

I had to bring my puppy and Max in an emergency visit because he had a scratch on his eye. Vet and Vet tech were extremely kind and patient, and were great with Max, who can be a bit nervous. It was such a great experience That I am now moving all of my pets to be treated by them. I highly recommend them .

Second visit to your clinic, this one not so great. The tech who first contacted us in the lobby was borderline rude and abusive. She was also sick herself, wearing a mask and "apologizing" for being ill. In this current time *I* don't want being made ill by bringing my dog into the clinic! Vet finally appeared and was fine. Would have been better if all the documentation on my dog had been available after I sent it along earlier in the week. Sorry afraid to leave my name due to the possibility of retribution. Shouldn't be this way.

We are between homes in GA and NC and visiting North Carolina when our dog fell ill. They got us in quickly and we’re so kind to our pup. They even got down on the ground with him and tried to make him feel comfortable. Appreciated the kind and quick service.

While the staff was very friendly, my dog was returned to me with dried, caked on feces on his tail and bottom. It took me twenty minutes to clean him up using warm water and soap to dissolve it. In addition to this, one of his blankets and his 2 toys were supposedly being cleaned but no one has contacted me about picking them up. I called to let the staff know that I was unhappy about my dog's condition. They said a manager would call me back that day. This was 2 days ago and no one has called. I will not be bringing my dog back here.

They left notes in my file about me, when I was asking how much it was going to cost in a way that seemed condescending and rude like I was a broke b. Some doctors are great and some are not. and there’s a girl in the front that is rude and makes excessive remarks on Files.

I’m so grateful for The Pet Vet! 🙏🐈‍⬛ My cat companion needed urgent surgery and our usual vet wasn’t able to get him in for 2.5 weeks. After calling about 25 other veterinarians, The Pet Vet generously spent hours to make arrangements to see him just two days later! They even let me make a recording for him to listen to while he was being anesthetized. When Finley seemed uncomfortable a few weeks later, they immediately squeezed him in for a check up to make sure all was well (it was), and didn’t charge me for it. They are so kind, compassionate, and clearly care about animals and their guardians. I can’t recommend them enough!

Such a great experience! Our dog started showing signs of discomfort Saturday morning but we weren’t yet overly concerned, by early evening he was clearly in pain and I noticed bloody discharge. Our normal vet is closed weekends and we thought for sure we would be stuck paying the minimum $150 to see an emergency vet but fortunately at a quick google search saw that the pet vet on Patton was still open. We called at 5:30 and explained what was going on and they got us an appointment for 6 despite being brand new patients late on a Saturday. All the nurses and the vet we saw were excellent and so sweet with our dog, they were able to do a quick work up and get him taken care of. We were able to stay in the room with him too which our old vet stopped allowing during Covid and has never reopened. We will be switching our full time pet care to pet vet on Patton, we so appreciate the care and commitment to quality!

We always have a great experience boarding our dog Maisy here! The staff are attentive and caring, even going so far as to pair up our dog with compatible temperaments when she gets too energetic. The other dogs are friendly and fun. We love to see update pictures on the pet vet social media accounts. Maisy always has a great time and comes home exhausted from all the fun!

I took my cat today and they were amazing! She can be very ornery and has a special personality but they were amazing with her. They even went above and beyond to make sure that I was able to afford her care with the help I was already Receiving and went above and beyond and cleaned her crate after she had made a huge mess in it with an accident on the way to vet to get her help! I will be staying with them and highly highly recommend them to anyone!!!!
