This Fresh Market is a beautiful grocery store. I'm always impressed with how clean and well-displayed everything is. From the floral and produce department to dry goods, wine, deli, freshly ground coffee and amazing bakery (really good lemon bars!), everything looks gorgeous. Prices are a bit higher than a typical grocery store, but the staff are engaged and seemed happy to see me.

I really wanted to buy roasted chicken pulled off the bone. I bought it some months ago and it was absolutely DELICIOUS and so handy for a variety of dishes. But alas it is not available since the left overs are used in other store dishes. Harris Teeter and Aldi sell this pulled chick regularly BUT yours is better. Please consider carrying it!! Thank you.

Thanksgiving Eve Shopping and pick-up of pre-ordered Turkey Dinner. Drove straight in from Savannah, Georgia to Merrimon Avenue store. Staff had our standard Turkey Dinner ready PLUS they had pulled together the extras (Mac-n-Cheese/Chocolate Silk Pie/Seasoned Green Bean) we had requested. Everything was organized beyond our expectations. Staff was very helpful throughout the store. Bakery staff was patient with travel weary customers. Floral section was still well stocked…picked up some Paper Whites and cute bird house/greenery/Cardinal arrangement for family. Been shopping here for years and love it. Lately the cashiers haven’t been so friendly and honestly quite rude. Maybe it’s because I’m on the younger side but sharon is a bit condescending and makes my visits uncomfortable. Will still shop here all things considered.

I have been shopping at Fresh Market for several years. I shop approximately five days a week. The staff is always available to help. This is consistently done with a smile and the ability to make each shopper feel special! A truly amazing shopping experience consistently.

This place has some good items so I like to go here but it is not a regular stop of mine. I go here especially when they are having their awesome sales. I had a somewhat upsetting experience today. The cashier Elizabeth wasn’t very friendly upon arrival. I bagged my groceries to help out. She told me the total and I automatically just ran my card before it dawned on me that one needs to put in a number in order to get the discounts. Not every store does the number thing and those that do almost always ask “do you have a phone number with us.” Nothing prompted me nor did the cashier ask me if I had a number to put in. When I said “wait don’t I need to add in a number” the cashier just said “too late”. So I basically got mostly discounted items and paid full price. Obviously that’s upsetting when groceries are expensive enough. Either abolish this phone number game or I would recommend having cashiers ask as I assume this happens all of the time. Super disappointed.

Kim and I did a chocolate truffle pairing. The chocolate was locally sourced and the wine was perfectly paired. Our favorite was the blend of Cab Franc and Lemberger.

I love my fresh market, but I’m not crazy about the “deals“The one I particularly like is the 20% off produce.But a lot of the products, seem to be the ones that are not selling.I would like to see more non-GMO And free range products for sale. But the staff is superlative.

I just started shopping with Instacart, and was a little lost finding a couple things.. 😅 The manager, Cole, was super helpful! Also, when he saw the lines getting long, he jumped right in to help the hardworking cashiers!Clean and well stocked store, great staff.

I have been a loyal customer of Fresh Market in Virginia Beach and they are great. This store is a completely different and unpleasant experience. The woman at the deli counter said she as about to make turkey sandwiches and they would be ready in 10 minutes. She then waited on people that came after me telling me that she was waiting on customers first. I said that I am a customer too. The woman she was waiting on said that she came after me and to make my sandwich first. The Fresh Market deli woman refused. After she served that woman she walked away from the deli counter to the back of the store. I finally left without buying anything.

Love this Fresh Market. Can’t beat their Chocolate Cherry kiss coffee and I always grab the roasted chicken salad with 4 free croissants. Store is always clean and employees are extremely helpful.

I love going to the Fresh Market. We buy Chocolate Cherry Kiss coffee and Jamaican Me Crazy flavors. Never go in hungry or you'll spend more than you mean too! The staff is always helpful and friendly.

It has the BEST butcher IMO in the area, and that's the reason I frequent it. It has a great bakery, better than its peers. The in-house brands are very high quality. So why am I giving this place 4 stars? One specific reason: pricing. It's MUCH more expensive than its peers for the same brand items. My recommendation is to shop for produce and name brands elsewhere and only go here for the specialty items and butcher as needed, or the occasional cake.

9/28/2023: Love being able to grab a sample of flavored coffee and enjoy it while shopping. The produce is always fresh. This store also had extra large brown eggs which are becoming more difficult to find. Cashier was friendly and professional.

I love this place. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and there are just so many things you can't get anywhere else. The chicken salad here is literally the only chicken salad I will buy. Great selection of whole coffee beans, fresh cheeses, olives, meats, deli and lunch items. It is a bit on the pricier side, but the quality is always spot on.

I always love it here. I have find memories of shopping here as a child and getting a cookie and a tiny coffee sample with lots of sugar. The store is always permeated with the scent of coffee, and they have a lot of organic/natural/vegan foods. They also do a great meal deal on Mondays.

I absolutely love visiting this store! I always come here for my meat and seafood! Caleb, the manager of the meat department, is phenomenal and his crew is amazing. The produce manager is great as well. All the staff at this location are happy and upbeat, it is very refreshing.

Did not have a good experience today. Went for quiches - 1 was out & date was old asked a young male if there was he did bring out quiche Lorraine but never asked me what I was looking for.Then bought a box of 3 chocolate croissants. Got home & noticed the date & croissant was old - through them out. This is not the only time I have gotten old dessert.There is no great service & no one paying attention at this location.

I love everything in here except the prices. That being said, some things are quite reasonable too. I go in 2 times a week just for an excellent chocolate croissant - only 1.79!! - and a good cup of coffee. I also always buy their own brand fruit jams. Excellent flavor in those and NO corn syrup products, just plain old sugar as it should be; not cheap but not crazy priced. There are sales happening weekly as well and i tend to have to utilize the sales in this store. Their bulk coffee is some of the best around and they have organic coffee too. Unfortunately there is no area inside for sitting 😡

Freak Market is my go to for meats. They run great sales and have quality products. The bakery is great. The deli's wings and other offerings have been very good. Service has always been good. No complaints.

I walked in the place and immediately felt too poor to be there. I went in for groceries while I'm in town for a few days. Everything is very expensive. But I did get a good deal on chicken breasts, they were $2.99/lb and it seems like that's the price of them every Tuesday! It was some really good chicken, too. Cooked up real nice. It was kind of hard to find things, though. I spent a solid five minutes looking for parmesan. Maybe I'm just used to the one store I go to back home, but it's just not labeled too well and the way it's laid out doesn't make too much sense. I loved the food I got from here - very fresh! Just... pricey. Understandably so.

A great store concept. Its somewhat like going back in time, but better! It's like visiting your hometown "Fresh" Market. The store offers a butcher shop, with a wide selection of fresh meats, a gourmet prepared meals selection, an excellent international cheese selection, a wonderful bakery, offering bakery fresh breads, pastries, pies and other delightful treats, the staff need to be trained better. They are not informed about their products. The store is clean and organized. The store is crowded and tight and sometimes difficult to move around the store. The prices are moderate to high. If you are seeking a store for price value, go to Aldis or Wal-Mart.The Fresh Market is more about enjoying a shopping experience. We mainly shop there to find different food items, that other stores do not offer. Plus, we enjoy the shopping experience.
