This Ingles is NOT safe. Drug dealers whistling constantly on the property and in the store cafe. Drug addicts and homeless doing drugs on property and harassing customers at the entrances. Trash constantly on property.People overdosing in the bathrooms and shoplifters constantly running out of the store. First responders and police are called several times a week. I would never eat anything from the bakery-donut self serve as it's touched constantly and unsanitary, by those who walk in and steal.Staff at this location is overwhelmed by all of the above on a daily basis. As a customer, I feel horrible for them as they are limited by Ingles's corporate who will not lift a finger to assist it's employees and community by choosing to keep to outdated policies. Do better Ingles.

I recently used this store's Western Union service and while the transaction itself went smoothly, I was a bit put off by the way the employee who helped me spoke to me. However, I appreciate the efficiency and convenience of their service. Overall, my experience was good and I would recommend this store to others in need of similar services.

Update your new hours on Google and your website before people drive 30 minutes out of their way for zero reason like I did. This should **not** be happening, it's 2024. Absolutely Ridiculous.And to save future people trouble since Ingles doesn't have the competency to post their new hours; they close at 10pm now. I drove this this Ingles and the Patton Ingles, and both of their websites + Google pages still show 11pm yet they now close at 10pm.

parking lot is like a scene from the walking dead, among various other problems I’ve had here. I call this the zombie ingles. Go to Smokey park hwy. drive out of your way if you have to.

My dad went to go buy me cake batter and frosting this morning for my birthday, and the frosting was open. I called and this woman San Marie hung up in me 3 times. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Gotta say, I felt very welcome coming to the store. Shae is a great example of what a store manager should be. Very personable, and even though I'm from out of state and visiting as a tourist he remembered me the next visit which says a lot about the attentiveness he gives his store. The place was clean and his staff was friendly. Thanks for the kindness.

This is the very worst Ingles in buncombe county. In fact, it is one of the worst grocery stores I have been to. If I could give negative stars I would. The manager acts more like a thug and the assistant manager needs to find a new job. Terrible terrible place

I recently stopped by Ingles Market and was blown away by the exceptional service and quality of the deli. As soon as I walked up to the counter, I was greeted by the friendly and outgoing Sarah. She listened intently to my requests and promptly took care of my order. Her attention to detail and care in ensuring my order was exactly as I wanted it made me feel truly valued as a customer.Not only was I impressed with Sarah's outstanding customer service, but the overall quality of the products at Ingles was remarkable. They had a wide variety of fresh options, and everything tasted delicious. I left feeling completely satisfied and grateful for the excellent experience.I highly recommend Ingles Market and specifically the deli department, with Sarah leading the charge as an exceptional team member. Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly impressive and made for a fabulous shopping experience. This is definitely a five-star establishment, and I can't wait to visit again soon!

This store is filled with homeless people, they are always outside and sometimes inside too. And their selection isn't the greatest at this location either.

My husband forgot to get his $40 cash back an i just knew it was gone...2 days later on our way out of Asheville to come home to Belmont an there are actually nice people still left in the world...somebody turned it in an it was in the safe!!..

This is a smaller store than I'm accustomed to.They did not have the main product I went to the store for.Very low stock of meats, bakery items,sale items leaving and bare. Shelves looked bare, meat cases almost empty. Not a good feeling- items I needed weren't there.I'm a Huge fan of the Ingles on Smoky Park Hwy in Asheville- store 31. Shelves are always stocked, store always clean, impressive variety of choices, bakery and deli sections in front of the counters are kept consistently stocked for customers, and the staff is amazing, both helpful and friendly.The Haywood Ingles I'm reviewing is closer to me, but I'd rather drive a bit more for store 31I will not return to this Ingles!

I will NEVER EVER go to this store again. I go here because it's convenient. Other than that, management has to be the worst. I'd rather get run over by a herd of rhinos and elephants than to step foot back in that place.I wish I could give it 5 Xs.The only thing worth going there for us the Deli. They dona great job.I went there (for the last time) on Sunday, 19 March, at 21:02. I went directly to the service desk because I needed assistance. I stood there and watched 2 employees go behind the desk, and not one of them said a word. One of them even did something at the register directly in front of me and didn't say a thing. While standing, I hear a third voice. This guy was sitting in there the whole time and never says a word.After 15 minutes of nothing, I just left and drive to Patton Ave.NEVER AGAIN.

Bought some alcohol and the cashier (Tiana) tried to card my little sister who was with me. I tell her my sister doesn't need a card so she calls management. Management confirms that if I am purchasing, my sister doesn't need a card. I explain to the cashier that many people buy alcohol with their children in the store to help her understand the principal. She mumbles under her breath "I can tell she's not your child." Just about lost my mind. Never going back

This is probably the smallest Ingles location I've visited. It could use a refresh. It's dark in the store and compared to other locations seems old. If I'm in West Asheville and plan to stop by Ingles I generally visit the Patton Ave/ Leicester Hwy location over this one or make the 15 minute drive to the Oteen Ingles.

I wouldn't recommend shopping at this particular Ingles ever they allow drug deals to go on in their parking lot they allow people to basically live there harass you for money and you have to watch out because of needles and not only that apparently it's okay to pee in the parking lot and I reported it to the manager and all I got was well there's nothing I can do about it and that's not true those people go in there they touch all the food I've seen blood on the produce I know for a fact they use old molding bread because I know an employee that works there that told me about it I would not shop here ever especially if you have children our children should be able to go to the store without having to see people shoot up drugs and buy them in a simple fact the manager doesn't care I mean she doesn't care about her customers because all you have to do is ask them to leave the property I hope they get busted in that manager goes to prison I would not shop here if I was y'all

I like some of what ingles sells. The thing I like best is Showboat Pork and Beans. I like when they have hamburger on sell. I like when they have coffee on sell. The bread is too expensive. The cakes are way to high. Other than that I like Ingles

Not the best location for a major grocery store- homeless like to stay outside and beg for food or money and it makes it difficult to visit on a daily bases. There’s a few other ingles within a few miles of this one- much nicer and safer too.

My young granddaughters, their dog and I walked up to Ingles to pick up a couple of things for a new recipe. The girls did not want to wait outside, and we couldn't take the dog inside. An employee (store manager, we think) was standing outside, and I shared with him the dilemma. He immediately and kindly offered to keep the dog safe outside, while the girls and I went into the store for a very brief time. I just wanted to say 'thank you' publicly and share the story and the good news that there are still kind and thoughtful people in our midst!

Nice local smaller ingles. It is older in an older part of town. Unlike some of the over the top bad reviews I've never had a bad experience there and I'm there 4 to 5 days a week for my job. As with most grocery stores I visit I have had a product ring up the incorrect price before. Ingles has large signs letting you know if a product rings up incorrectly they will let you have that (1) item for free, other chains just give me the difference. As far as management trying to curb stealing...thank you! It helps keep costs down. I've used the bathrooms and I wouldn't eat off the floor or anything but definitely wouldn't keep me from using them. I'm my extremely frequent visits I haven't seen any more expired food than I do at any other store. It's RARE for me.
