I'd been happy enough with this store for years - but over the last two months, they've consistently not entered the advertised sale prices into their register, so when you ring up items, they come up as the non-sale price unless you happened to somehow memorize (or like I did, write down) the correct sale prices when you made your shopping list. They'll correct them if you notice, but I've had purchases with well over $30 in discrepancies, and none of the other people in line seemed to be paying attention enough to care. The excuse of "it's a problem with corporate" and then fixing the price for the items you happen to notice doesn't make this behavior feel any less deeply fraudulent, especially considering it doesn't seem to be happening at other Ingles locations. It's excusable if it happens once, but it's happened every week for months now.

I came in today to buy some stuff for a camping trip and I seen how there was only one person working he was verry cool his name was Isaiah and he was verry respectful. I give him 5 stars but him having to check everyone out whyle all the other workers were standing around goofing off if I could give 0 stars I would!!!

Be careful, we purchased gas at the station on Sunday, March 3rd and had to have our vehicle towed shortly after. Our mechanic did a test of the gas and it was contaminated which requires a drain and flush costing us $300. It has been confirmed that diesel fuel was put into the premium gas tanks at the station.

I usually never have a problem with this Ingles but today I did. At checkout the guy who bagged my groceries told I needed to get another 2 muffins because the muffins I had somehow fell out and I misunderstood him because I thought he meant to say to go get another box. I went back twice. When I was about to leave he gave me the okay to go and somehow the cart had a lock on it?? And he didn't tell me and I hurt my knee on it. I had to limp to my car. I wish peopl3 here would communicate to their customers a lot better

If you ever thought Ingles is/was price gouging look no further than the salaries and bonuses of the CEO and board chairman. CEO- 55% compensation increase from 2021 ($2.1m) to 2023 ($3.3m). The board chairman's pay doubled from 2021 to 2023. $3.7m to $8m. 2023 salary $1.2m and a bonus of $6.6m. Pretty shameful to take advantage of customers and your employees so you can live high on the hog. The aforementioned is fact. Look it up!

The 1000000th time I've been here and the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine is never stocked and the butterscotch haystacks are ALWAYS peanut butter. A couple of times I could forgive but constant disregard of service is enough to choose somewhere else

I highly recommend. Wonderful stores, each. They have salad bars, hot and cold food for take out. Oh and the Starbucks in each. Each one I visited had awsome employees. Plus it's a few dollars cheaper than the regular drive thru starbucks. The grocery stores have a great selection of domestic and international products. Wonderful selection of fresh veggies and meats. Most even have lamb. The brisket is great and the pulled pork. Just throw some Carolina sauce on it and slaw. Mmm. Fantastic employees in each store I have been in so far.

This Ingles is bad every time I go. I have a simple list and they’re always either out of everything or down to the last couple items of what I need and they are poor quality. My standard trip after work tonight….out of bananas. Out of bread. Out of chicken. Out of Hardboiled eggs. Got the last of the broccoli and the last of the (edible) asparagus. There weren’t even any produce bags except the last of one roll. Then they are as expensive as Publix or Harris Teeter and not 1/10th the quality. Get your game together, Enka-Candler Ingles.Back again months later and same rude cashiers. I say hi…they look at me like I’m crazy and don’t say anything or crack a smile. I say thank you at the end and they look at me and say nothing. Either they’re miserable in general or Ingles is a miserable employer because everything about it seems like a miserable experience in general.

When your open till 11, says 11 on Google, says 11 on the sign on the front of the store. Yet 1045, the dude standing at the door wouldn't let me in and said "were closed". I was actually just needing to buy a phone charger. And when you still have customers in the store shopping that haven't checked out, you should let someone in 15 till closing. If it was 10:58 and all the customers had already checked out and left, I might understand. Maybe I'm wrong but years of restaurant and service industry jobs, including working at Ingles years ago, tells me I'm probably not.

This ingles has one of the most disgusting bathrooms I’ve ever been in. Toilet paper on the floor, crates used as toilet paper holders, feces all on the toilets, they hardly ever look to be cleaned! Customer service is not the best either. I’ve been in a lot of ingles, please just keep your store clean and treat your customers well, it goes further than you think..

I was followed around and harassed by the security guard at this store. He almost walked straight into me when he was coming around an end cap because he was looking at the floor. I abruptly halted to avoid the hit and said hello to him and walked on, apparently that is suspicious enough for him to follow me after that for 10 minutes until I finally turned around and told him I wasn't there to steal feminine pads and Lysol wipes. He went and stood by the front door and after I checked out he still followed me out the door, never asked for the receipt and I wasn't about to go out of my way to show it. Ironically I work for the same security service and have reported him so hopefully he won't do this to other legit customers and make them feel uncomfortable like he did me. I also won't be back to this location, I know there is a high theft rate here but following paying customers around won't help solve anything Jeff.

The store is great, clean, staff are friendly and helpful, it’s stocked and well organized, again the store is great. The parking lot is sketchy, especially after dark. But I’m not holding that against the store itself.

Absolute worst ingles markets, ive worked at 4 seperate stores in the location and jeff burrell is the worst person i have ever worked for and ever will work for, bullies his hard working employees for no reason, countless times have i been yelled at and talked poorly about behind my back to other customers!!! I strongly suggest this man be fired, he hid paperwork for peoples raises so he wiuld be able to keep the money, eventually district manager found out and punished him. Theres an incredible amount of poor management from jeff, evan, and tim, and if they see this you dont know who i am but i know more than you think and i have enough dirt on all three of them to be fired 10x over

Ingles is my supermarket of choice. It is a local brand, there are three locations within 5-10 minutes from my home, and they have a good selection of products and produce. Two persons in my home require special diet, and there are items that cater to a variety of special diets at this location. One family member has mobility limitations and uses the motorized carts. I am grateful that these are available, but would be even more impressed if they were kept maintained and in good working order. While there were significant staffing issues at this location in the later months of the Pandemic, this is beginning to be resolved. I used the meat counter today, and my order was correct, which has not occurred in a number of months. I am so glad to see this turning around.

Very poor customer service. I just pulled out of your parking lot after checking out on isle 12. The cashier was a young girl, curly hair with two nose piercings. Couldn’t tell you hear name because she never spoke to us. Not 1 single word. She was too busy texting on her phone to even make eye contact with us before and after she scanned our items. The great thing about Asheville is, we have other options for grocery shopping. I shop at Whole Foods and Publix every Sunday. I have never had this problem there so I think today will be my last visit to this Ingles.

These employees are so rude it's almost laughable.3 employees, including the manager, literally rolled eyes, turned their backs and walked away when I asked what time the deli actually closes. At 7:45 pm I was told the deli is closed because their winter hours started. The sign says winter hour close time is 8 pm. Just wondering what time they actually stop service? They don't know much, but I bet they know when it's quittin' time! 😏

I have never been to such a poorly run store. It's like a zoo for teenagers especially in the evenings. The management does not care what their employees are doing so the employees do nothing but goof off. I will never be back to this location, it's too frustrating.

I don’t know if it’s a culture thing age of employees or what, but I’ve only been here 3x and every single time a worker there acts like I’m bothering them by asking a question or helping me. It’s literally ruined my mood. The first time I had a guy check me out and he wouldn’t stop flirting with a girl coworker shoving sushi sheets in her mouth in front of everyone. The second time the cashier completely ignored me, didn’t make eye contact, and didn’t say a word to me while checking me out but continued to have a conversation with another coworker. This last time I ended up putting my groceries back and walking out because I nicely asked the guy at self checkout if he could help me since they haven’t linked my number to my ingles reward card yet and it’s been over two weeks since I signed up. He looks at me dumbfounded that I’m even asking and simply says “can’t help” and walks away. It’s happened every time in a row that I embarrassingly almost walked out crying. Like you work there why can’t you do anything to help me or engage with me nicely. I’ve legit never written a review of a grocery store, but maybe a manager will see this and actually care.

Got told the cashier would be closing their Lane after the person in front of us, that we needed to go to another line. As soon as the cashier was done with what would have been their last supper checking out, they started accepting new shoppers to their line. Of course, the line filled up immediately. We have been standing in line to check out for at least 10 minutes, waiting and watching. I feel personally sleighted. Not the cashier's fault, they probably got told not to go on break yet, deal with the rush, but being told to move and then seeing the line we were in open up again just.. ugh. Don't treat people like that.

I’m here a lot. It’s my neighborhood store. Today I was looking over my receipt after checking out and the manager (TJ?) came over and asked if everything was good. I mentioned one thing looked like it rung up wrong and he took care of it no questions asked. Thanks!

This review is for the weekend breakfast hot bar. Who ever is cooking breakfast on the weekends is doing a spectacular job! So many scrumptious options, and you can tell by the deliciousness that this food was cooked with love. We're also very impressed by the kindness of the staff serving the food. Well done!

My husband ordered me a sub on multi grain bread and when he got home and I unwrapped my sub the bread was burnt. He called Ingles to complain and to see if they would do a remake the lady who answered was very rude and unprofessional. When he asked to speak to a manager she got even more rude. Whoever the manager was refused to make things right all because the deli was already closed. Can a manager not go to the deli and remake a sub? When we asked if he could go back and do the remake he refused and was rude about it!!!

I was going to give this Ingles a 1 star! Just because they got shopping baskets in again I will give them a 2 star. My biggest complain here is the Deli. You ALWAYS wait for a very long time until someone actually acknowledge you when you want sliced meat. One day there was a lady behind there and told me that she couldn't help me because the Deli isn't her department and walked off. Also, one other day I came there and this old couple told me they have been waiting for about 15 minutes already and no one is sight behind Deli. Someone finally came to help after I went to go tell a manager. I have complained 3 different times to a manager about this problem. The last time I complained to the manager, she apologized and told me 'sorry this is a ongoing problem' If they know this is a on-going problem then I guess the problem is poor management?

Stopped by to grab a few things for Christmas recipes. Overheard a couple of other customers talk about how picked over the shelves were. Multiple lines open for checkout and all had at least 4 customers in them. There were no baggers that I could see at the registers. The cashier we had was very slow and unpleasant. For being a newer built Ingles I was surprised at the how bad thee shopping experience was.

Pharmacy review: The pharmacy staff at this location are very helpful and caring. Lee Ann, the pharmacist, and Debbie, one of the techs, both are very friendly and answer all questions I have. Highly recommend over the over-capacity chains like CVS and Walgreens

Hi, my name is Amanda and I live in a 2014 Subaru Outback named Ruby. I am not homeless; this is a deliberate choice.(This is a lengthy review, btw but please read to the end)Two mornings ago a fella from your store came around the Planet Fitness parking lot, tagging vans & cars with violation stickers, warning us we would be towed. Planet Fitness is a staple for the vanlife community due to its amenities and 24 hour operations.I did not know Ingles owned the Planet Fitness parking lot and that there were signs up stating overnight parking was prohibited. I had observed vans/buses parked there overnight a few times before so I figured I'd give it a shot. Plus with the monsoon-like rain making it hard to see the road that night, I thought it was best to pull over rather than risk an accident by continuing to my intended location. This morning I showed up to Planet Fitness just before 7am to work out and again the same man was out tagging vans. Look, I get this is your parking lot and Ingles has the right to set rules for its lot. However, enforcing the rules you set is also a choice. Like jaywalking. It's illegal everywhere yet no police force actually tickets people for jaywalking.Your company has made a choice and communicated it loud and clear: vehicle dwellers are not welcome at our stores.I wanted to leave this review to let you -- and others who may read it -- know that if my beloved Ruby is not welcome in the Planet Fitness parking lot, my dollars are not welcome in your tills. After briefly chatting with the employee out tagging vehicles I deduced there was a concern about drug use and needles. Why is there this a misplaced belief that everyone who does not live in a house is homeless, does drugs, and leaves needles everywhere? That couldn't be further from the truth! Many people living in vehicles like me work. They are travel nurses, digital content creators, freelancers, teachers, truckers, retail workers...They are members of society who are making a contribution and simply want to (and in some cases have to) live in a space that makes sense for their lifestyle and finances. Not everyone can afford to buy a house and rent has become incredibly unaffordable. People like me have found a middle ground and some balance by living in a vehicle.I would strongly encourage you to watch the film Nomadland to learn more about a community of people who live in vehicles because the system has failed them. I would encourage you to check out YouTube's skoolie families. And I would also strongly encourage your DE&I team (assuming you have one) to learn more about the van/vehicle/RV community in Western NC.In the meantime if you are reading this and are just passing through Asheville and need groceries I would recommend continuing down Patton Rd, about ~5 miles into town. There's a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Harris Teeter all right next to each other on the same block. Take your pick and spend your money there.

I tried to find a job there and realized that the store manager was absent at the time. I work over at the Ingles at new Leicester highway and I found it hard to work there on the weekends and holidays despite the challenges I took that were too hard for me to do especially to keep the parking lot there clean by getting to return all the shopping carts back into the store (even the ones that were left at where they shouldn’t be at) though unlike other people I’m much more stringent and I always look all around the parking lot to make sure that I get every single shopping cart lying around and also making sure that all the shopping carts I bring back into the store are clean for the customers to use to stock up on all the groceries they need. I also help people with whatever they need assistance on (all this is based on the job that I do at the Leicester Ingles store). The managers there are much smarter than the managers at this location because they normally ask one of the baggers to do the shopping carts and they look outside to see if whichever bagger they send to do the shopping carts needs a rain jacket.

The rating is because of the cashier who checked me and another woman out. Cynthia is her name. Salt and pepper hair and glasses (AVOID BY ANY MEANS) I felt disrespected by how I was spoken to and how I was treated going through the line to pay for my stuff. As a former Ingles employee, I was extremely disappointed. Thank God I was wearing a mask because my mouth dropped open at what I witnessed. There was a older lady in front of me that couldn't hear well and the way she was talking to her made me cringe. The woman gave her her Ingles card to scan and the lady wouldn't scan it unless she stuck it through that little hole and she even slammed her hand down there multiple times and said "over here I'm not taking it anywhere else I already told you! " wow. Then when the lady was putting her two liters on the counter to scan she politely let her know that she had four of them and her response was "I'm not worried about that I'll get to it when I get to it" just nasty. Then it was my turn to check out and I couldn't wait to get away from her. Again very rude saying "you don't get points for purchases only things that are on sale" which I knew was a lie but I didn't argue with her. I felt sorry for the bagger guy too bc he looked embarrassed. We all were embarrassed really because of how she was talking to us because customers started turning around to look at who was talking.
