Is it just me or do these people not know how to stay off the phone? Personal phone calls should not be allowed at work. I've been trying to call them for 2 days and all I get is a busy signal and I'm pretty sure that they've got a phone at their store.

The management and staff of Dollar General are amazing. As busy as this store is, they find the time to help you find things and seem to take a personal interest in their customers. I don't know if this is unique to the Leicester Hwy store, but I really appreciate it. I have never shopped anywhere, especially a discount store, where the employees will actually help you select items appropriate to your needs and desires, and also help you find things that fit your budget. These folks deserve a raise.

The young lady that was running the register had an extremely positive attitude with a great smile and was very helpful as well as the an attentive to other customers and a timely manner while also ringing customers. And overall great experience great service fast and no wait lines and no employees that look like they were content and happily wanted at work or taking their day out on customers so overall great experience.

The employees here are so nice. There is one lady in particular, when i remember her name I will edit this post. They are SO HELPFUL and go out of their way to deliver exceptional customer service! The only reason for a 4 insteax of a 5 is it is a little difficult to get through the isles because of the clutter of items that need to be put on the floor. They are a little understaffed, usually just 2 employees on at a time busting their tails to get everything done, so I do understand, just wish they had more help to get done what they need to do. But in all, a great place to shop with plenty of stock!

It all depends on which store u go to. The one in candler is great. The one on Leicester hwy sucks. The employees r great. But the owners won't hire enough people to keep it stocked. There r always giant carts full of boxes in the way. It is hazardous. And always out of half of what I need. But overall love the DG and will keep shopping thereSo much cheaper than grocery stores.

Pros: trendy items, house and automobile items, good prices.Cons: no public bathroom, you always spend way more than you planned because you always.....always....end up buying things you don't need.This is one of my weekly go to stores for all the things needed for the house, and it's the first place I go to for each and every holiday.

I will never go back to this store. It was a total mess. Carts full of boxes everywhere. Country music blaring. I specifically went here because on the app it said they had items that were out of stock at the Candler store. Turns out that wasn't true at all. They were out of all the things I came there for.

Great place for a little everything you need. Snacks, light groceries and plenty of medical supplies. They also have most household products,some for a little less than the local grocery store and some equally priced or maybe a little more so be selective and match prices. They also offer digital coupons that range from half a dollar to five dollars and some for even more on select seasonal close-outs without clipping coupons so shop around Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about products they carry. Quick visit place.

Since they have remodeled the store you can not push a buggy through most isles due to huge carts with stock all over the store. This makes shopping with small children almost impossible. Any time a member of their staff is blocking an isle while stocking they will moan and groan and complain about you not being able to simply go another way. I only go to this location if I need something not provided at another retailer or if I will save more than $5 by shopping there. They have lost a lot of my business due to how nasty the store is.

It's a good store to run in for something minor. Very cramped. They're trying to make a small store into one of the larger ones. You better know what you're looking for and be prepared to deal with merchandise on the aisles and narrow aisles. The food section of the store has been expanded a lot. Average Dollar store prices.

They staff that work here are always so friendly. I appreciate this location because they give the store character. They are eager to help! Ver personable. Usually most things are in stock.

Dollar General in new Leicester has nothing but good people and good customers. There's been a time before when I was a dollar short or two and it's not very long before somebody in the line goes to help. Very friendly staff and friendly environment overall.

Always a good place to be able to stop and get in and out of quickly. They usually have what you need. And nine times out of ten it's a lot cheaper than these bigger stores like Walmart and places like that. Usually just a laid back atmosphere that has everything from the newborns to the 80 year olds running around getting what they need well maybe not to newborns but you know what I'm saying. All-around great place to shop I've got everything from clothing to food and are usually a lot more local and close to home then these bigger chains.

I was leaving and this lady came running out of the store with a big yellow store basket full of items. I heard the store clerk yell and then realized this girl was doing a grab and go. She got into a get a way car and sped off. Gotta say, I feel bad that the nice store clerk had to go thru that. This store is usually not so thuggy.

Store is well stocked and has good selection but we must have gotten unlucky at check out. Their credit card machine was having problems and the employee treated us like it was our fault.

This store is really the worst dollar store i have been in it is so unorganized and boxes crowd the floor and they usually have one to two people running the whole store. And if ur in a hurry forget about it because they never are!! Normally there is one cashier and 15 ppl in line and a lazy ass manager sitting in the back that would"t get off there ass and help get the line down. To me that is sorry management. The store is disgusting and every ilse is junked with boxes I mean come on isn't that a damn fire hazard!! The District manager needs to find a qualified manager and hire ppl who can fix this ASAP ABSOLUTELY POTHETIC!!!

It's a pretty sorry excuse for a dollar store, they never keep the shelves stocked yet they bring the products out on trucks to stock but leave them in the aislesfor day's. They have 3 checkouts and only use 1. I try to avoid this store it's the worst one in Asheville

The store was nicely stocked. Customer Service was great. The prices of merchandise were reasonable. There were plenty of parking spaces in a well kept parking lot.

This place is the dirtiest store I have been in, only went in because it was on the way home, was there once before and I'll never go back, the floors and aisles are scattered and full of merchandise and the floors are filthy! There is no service and the customers are pretty scary looking and the cashier is questionable! And there is sign on the window saying" 5 shoplifters apprehended this week" who will be next? This store should be shut down!!!

Dirty, not enuf help, manager not so nice to customers. Can't find prices on alot of stuff and manager makes you to stand in a long line just to get a price check. Not my favorite place to shop anymore.

They are always crowded because the stuff that needs to be stocked is in the middle of the floor. You can't find anything or get to what you are looking for because of it. The workers are nice though.

They help me the most when I can get stuff from there dumpster and give to the homeless I ask my name is Ronnie I apgar and I would like to ask you deeply the stuff you throw away would be the up most inportant if you could and I pray y throw it away when u could give to people that are o need of the stuff the go's go the dump I beg and I pray you reach out to them and to my heart to the kids that need it and familys please I ask God if there was some way I could help stop such pain and bring happiness to hundreds of thousands of family's to stop this to Americans in our great land I have seen the stuff that is threw out cause I personal am poor and got the most important stuff from stuff threw away and I thank u cause sometimes I just do not have the money and the stuff I get I share and brings smiles to those I share with please help me in the way to help the homeless this way you would be blessed buy god I would start buy asking you to lets open a place to bring your dumpsters and put workers sanitary of course to work and let us go threw and get what we could use to help American famous before it is good that is not expired and other stuff not expired to stop hunger and please here my pray to you than u and I hope god let's you understand thank u for reading thing.i believe u will. They never have anything on the shelfs! Go to get laundry soap and not 1 bottle on the shelf and the cashier had the nerve to ask me "oh your not getting nothing " as I walked out and I replied "you have nothing to buy"

Stores usually a mess I never have nothing in stock people's real nice it don't look like they do a bunch of work but I go there so cuz the one I went to closed at Kmart
