I had actually quit shopping at this location because the conditions were so bad. Back stock carts on every aisle, signs on the door that they were closed (post Covid). However, employees were outside chain smoking cigarettes, and were very unbothered to tell people they were closed. However The new manager Bobbie and team has turned this place around! The store is in stock, the associates are present, and productive! Also they’ve implemented a few different ways to let the team know someone is at check out, which saves time for the customer, and lets them be unchained from the register. Great job Bobbie and the rest of the team!

This location is literally closed more than it’s open. Today for example 2 different signs on the doors. One says closed 10-2 the other says closed 10-6pm… no idea which one to pay attention to.

Whoever owns this store is an idiot. I stopped there today and they were closed to restock shelves. And this isn't the first time they were closed during normal business hours.Whoever gave this store a 5 star rating has never been to this store.They have one person , yes , one person operating the register, stocking shelves, cleaning the store and unloading trucks plus who knows what else.I asked the manager why everything was so disorganized and trashed and she said she couldn't find any help.So I offered to stock and straighten the shelves and she declined. She wanted one person to do everything.This store is mismanaged. Badly mismanaged.I remember one other store in asheville, a gas station that wasas badly managed as this one and they went under.It's just a matter of time before this store goes under and I hopethe new owner knows what they're doing.

The shelf's are nearly all the time empty the candy rack is always empty stock is not kept up overall it looks like a store that's closing down the one in flat creek is much better it's always stocked the shelf are never empty.

I will never shop at that store again and will encourage all my friends and church family (who btw is one of the biggest churches in that area), to not shop there either. Cathy let go of the best manager that store ever had. Matt was a great manager who was friendly and courteous to everyone especially the elderly. That store was a disaster until Matt came. He worked hard to get it in order. From what I hear lately from people who still shop there, it has gone back down hill. There was one instance a lady told me about where she had taken her deaf and partially blind 85 year old aunt shopping there and was rudely talked to by an employee by the name of Savannah whom she found out later was from another store. She said she complained to the cashier about it and was told the woman was from another store. When she got home and called the store to report it to the manager she was told by the same cashier that she was acting manager and would report it. It was never reported. Needless to say they have never been back. I will not participate in a business who treats their managers like dirt and permits certain employees to be rude to their customers. Dollar General maybe you need to fire District Manager Cathy.

This store has a few great employees and a ton of horrible ones. The shelves are usually messy and unstocked, while the things that need to be on the shelves are in boxes up high or on the floor like someone was going to eventually put them away - but they never do. VERY MESSY and its hard to find anything you need at this location. I have been going other places unless I know for a fact they are going to have what I need in the right place. UGH!

I love this dollar store. I'm in there atleast 3-4 times a week. Sometimes once a day. The only thing that I have a problem with is that they never have enough help. The employees that they have are wonderful...I just love them to death.

Don't buy any frozen food from this place, it's always thawed out and refrozen with freezer burn. Good way to make people sick. I for one am not buying anymore food there period, I don't trust thier supply chain.

I love dollar general but I hate when they don't keep it cleaned or stocked or have just one person running the store with no help at all it's gotten to where it's awful Stuff laying in the isles of the store I swear if I had pictures I would show them on here but I will next time.

Very unorganized store I have ever been in. Shelves empty boxes all over the place. You can't hardly get down the aisle cause of boxes and product every where that needs to be put on the shelves. Want be shopping here ever again.

If you need something quick at a cheap price its one of the best places to go. They have food, drinks, storage containers, hygiene products and more. But with the cheap prices can come cheap product. Over all good convenience store.

This is a store with the Dollar General products and prices. This store has a different vibe to me. Don't know why. The shelves were stocked and the products I needed were available.

You can't even get through the store for all the boxes they haven't unloaded.... Disorganized and the workers are rude and act like they don't Care about their job. They can do way better than what it is.... perhaps a new staff

The google hours says that they open at 8 AM their door says that they open at 8 AM however I’ve tried on several occasions around 8:30 and no one is ever there and the doors are locked they need to change their hours or get to work on time.

The people that work here clearly have little to no control over their personal lives, it is the only chain retail store that asks me to put on my shoes, get a real job, let them turn the thing into a vending machine already.

I like using the Dollar General on Weaverville Hwy to find inexpensive seasonal items, household products, pantry goods, medicine cabinet items, paper products, etc..
