I was in there for fifteen minutes waiting for someone to assist me . I may not have a lot of money and dont dress well . I guess I wasn't good enough to give them my money. Thanks I will find my products somewhere else. The store is cluttered with stuff it was awful.

I can’t understand why there’s never anyone working at the gun area. Waited like 20 minutes before I purchased my gun from another business. At least 2 more people walked away as well. At the Asheboro location

We were at Durham store in Asheboro 12/23 and I asked if they had an item in the back (exercise equipment) the young man said yes we do but we're real busy right now can you come back after 2 pm.. I said sure..we come back and they didn't have what we wanted in the back.his shift was done at 2pm. I feel he didn't want to be bothered shame on him....so yup we left again.. decided to go back the 3rd time to get something different and they didn't have that in the back either.. we ended up getting the floor model only because our grandson really really wanted his daddy to have this for Christmas 🎁... thank you to the ladies that were there at 8:00pm... They worked very hard to help us

Well stocked store, most of the pellet/BB guns are already opened with no price on them, possibly short staffed not sure, guns area had nobody there to ask questions but i found what i needed anyways

Large sporting good store. There archery stock is comparable to things you would find at Walmart. Definitely not high-end archery equipment.I was able to find there limb dampeners.

My wife went here to buy a rifle and was told that they couldn’t allow her to purchase it because “it wasn’t a good fit”. They didn’t even do a background check or begin any paperwork. We will never go back.

Short on staff. Usually only a few employees working. Gun selection is decent, but have to find an employee to assist when looking. Ammo is locked up also, requiring an employee to be found.

Decent place, prices are a little bit steep but have pretty good deals fairly often. The reason I'm only giving a 2 star review is because this one fellow running the register for the firearms (not going to say his name) made a few of us in line wait longer than needed... And was rude when another customer asked if they could get another employee to open another register (only 1 register open due to covid-19). I felt it was intentional for whatever reason he was just focused on only helping a couple for over an hour and a half before I was finally waited on.

Whenever you go to the mall, you got to go to Dunham's sports because there's really nothing else to do there, after you've looked around books a million and decided that you don't let spend any money on anything. You walk around the mall for a little bit speculate on how the cookie jar is still open. Go past the Chick-fil-A see what movies are playing at the theater and decide to go to Dunham's sports. When you go to that I'm sports. You look around, look at the golf clubs, look at the tennis rackets and then you realize they got rid of the toy section and that's like the most fun part of Dunham's sports so it really turns you off of the store.

Visiting from out of town. Seems like a nice large store with many choices here. Wife found a few items on sale and picked them up. Doesn't seem to have a large sales staff, but all was well.

They are understaffed like anywhere else but the employees are helpful and they have a great selection for Asheboro. Thankful to have them in town so we don't have to make the 30 trek to Greensboro for items every time. Their daily and weekly sales on their website are excellent as well. Just be patient when you go and realize they are understaffed and be respectful and you'll get great service!

I had a incident at my home that could have turned out very dangerous and I went to the Asheboro location to purchase protection for my home. When I got there none of the employees were knowledgeable on any of the guns. I had to resort to asking customers who knew what was best for home security. They took my id so I could look at a gun. The employees left me standing there and had my id hostage for about 20 min. When they returned they stated they would not sell me a fire arm because they didn’t believe I was purchasing it for myself. I explained to them, yes I called my husband to ask him which was best because the employees were not knowledgeable. The manager then told me that she was declining selling me a fire arm and returned my ID. Very sad day since we just had a very traumatic incident at my home, I have given dunhams a lot of my money in the past and will no longer be shopping there. They are overpriced anyways. Before I left the manager made what seemed to me racist comment, she stated “you have to pass a background anyways”! As if because I am Mexican with tattoos I would not pass a background. Horrible management! Very sad excuse for employees.

I have shopped here before, I always liked how clean, well stocked and easy it is to find what you are looking for. Their prices can be a bit high, but you can find things that are more affordable too. I would definitely recommend that people give them a try.

Dunham's of Asheboro. This is a great place to find outdoor/outdoor sports type items. From fishing/hunting gear to golf, table tennis, and clothes you will likely find what u want or need. AVOID this business at peak times, holidays, and when they are just plain busy. Historically, few associates work on any given shift which makes it a NIGHTMARE to checkout! This has been a complaint from customer's since Dunham's opened for business. Associates are very nice, helpful and friendly from my experiences. Enjoy!

Was looking for a Coleman tabletop butane gas burner which their website showed in stock at the Asheboro store. Went there and couldn't find any employee other than 1 st register which couldn't help. He told me to 'find a manager'. I've recently had knee surgery and still walking with a cane. So I started walking through this huge box store to find someone to help me as there were none on the shelf. Finally found a group of Mgrs in the golf section standing around talking. I was told the website was only updated every 3 yrs!! And she complained to me, the customer, how inconvenient it was for them. I told her how sad, but whst about customer who travel to the store based on information posed on their website only to be told sorry! Won't go back. Terrible customer service. Mgrs don't really care about customers. Didn't even offer to call other stores or assist in ordering online.

I went a few weeks ago to purchase a shotgun. Couldn't take it home, they said it mostly takes up to 3 days for everything to come back. I called a few times to see if it had went through. And they kept telling me it hadn't. I just got my concealed carry 3 months ago. I went to academy sports and didn't have one problem. Walked right out the door with my pistol.I called the other day and the guy told me to come get my refund back. I had to put a deposit down for layaway cause I bought the gun last day of the special. I live almost in Burlington. I use to like this store .. I'll never come back!!

No employes. Had to walk all the way from back weapons area back through entire store until I e b ded up at the check out area just to ask cashier a question. This person was very helpful but this didn't help with problem of me and 4 other potential customers in the weapons area who were waiting for help.. No ammo on shelf except shotgun shells. I don't think this store will be open for much longer if they continue doing business like this.

I was planning to purchase 2 firearms and a knife, when a manager "Mandy" stares at me angrily, then pulls the associate away to say I was wasting his time. I could hear what she said, she didn't even try to keep me from hearing it. The associate looked so embarrassed and had a look of total disbelief on his face. The company lost an $1100 sale because of her, and I'll have to special order the firearm from somewhere else.I always came to this store because of the helpful associates who are knowledgeable on their products, but I will be finding another location to make my gun and ammo purchases.

When you get someone to come to the check-out counter and check you out to find out nothing you have is priced correctly what do you do.I had 3 bottles of seasoning and was told each one was a dollar more that advertised on the label, just shop online folks
