We have one of Chris's birdfeeders in our back yard, the one on the pole. We've had it for some years and we enjoy it. We have a tube feeder with safflower seeds on one side, and a finch feeder on the other side. The birdfeeders we hang from trees attract squirrels but the squirrels can't climb these poles.

I have one of Chris's feeders, the one on the pole. After six years, the birds still love it. And squirrels can't climb the pole. If you have some especially creative squirrels, grease the pole and watch them start up and then slide down. It doesn't hurt the squirrels, and they soon strop trying.
