Stopped in yesterday for some plants for the fish tank and left with tank plants, houseplants, a few new fish and a couple snails 😂 (you know how that is). Sam , the owner of this fine place really knows his stuff. The problem with a place like petsmart is you get untrained people selling you fish , but not here . This place goes above and beyond to help the customer truly understand the life cycles of the fish and plants and how they all benefit each other to help make and maintain a positive environment for the fish. I entered the store as a beginner with a little knowledge and left knowing so much more in the short time I was there ... since then I have came here for all my aquatic plant and fish needs . My new go to store !

I got two gorgeous Amano Shrimp from this wonderful establishment. I will not go to any other place, someone in a previous review referred to him as the "Fish Daddy" .... I second this.You rock, man! I will be in soon to show you pictures of the shrimp in their new home... and bring my husband to gander at your fish and plants.

First time going here and this guy was very helpful and knowledgeable. I really appreciated his kindness. Sent me home with exactly what I needed. All the fish seem very healthy. I will definitely go back here. Also, dog was very sweet and let my toddler pet him.

Please please please visit Archdale Fish and plants if you are ever in Greensboro NC or visiting one of the surrounding areas. The collection of fish is always interesting, healthy, and active. The owner is kind and knowledgeable. Did I mention the that they have the best door greeter around? If you love fish and you love plants you have to check him out!

The guy in the shop was helpful. We had a incident with a family member of his at the location in the parking lot. His relative pulled in behind us jumped out his car and come up to us all hostle and started yelling at us he had a bad day just got his kids took away and all kinds of stuff. All because he thought we where break checking him mind you its a stick shift in a turn at a red light so there was no break checking no one he came from no where blowing his horn and throwing his hands up acting crazy because he was having a bad day. He tried to pick a fight so I called the local police and they came straightened it out and he almost got arrested for his actions. So we left no more business at that shop for us not spending my hard earned money with crazy people lol .. go through your camera sir and you can see who im talking about its was 100 percent your location. He said he was your family thats why I say go through your camera sir about 2 weeks ago.

His infectious and friend-to-all vibe makes the store just the ultimate enjoyable hobby stop. If uncertain about anything, he's always willing to take an extra minute to help! Sam the owner was so nice and so helpful with all the questions we had! Oh and the assistant manager so sweet and very soft! The selection of fish was so awesome. I’d rather not have to order my fish online and thankfully he has more of a selection than most stores you can go to in the area! As well as some hard to find or rare finds! As well as his snails were so healthy looking compared to other stores as well! Living in the archdale area I love that they are so close and I don’t need to go far!

Best lfs in the triad area! Still growing things at the location but it’s my favorite. The owner is honest, super friendly, and willing to bring in anything he can for you. Can’t beat his pricing either!! Have truly enjoyed watching his location grow. I live 30 minutes away and have 2 other stores closer, yet still prefer Archdale Fish & Plants overall!!!

Plenty of beautiful plants and more fish than typical pet stores offer, especially those of a larger variety which are what I needed for my ‘aggressive’ tank. The owner is well informed on a variety of fish and what would pair well with my larger Bichir which tends to enjoy eating his tank mates. I bought two very large, roughly 4-5” African cichlids. These fish were an amazing price, each only $25, so I bought 2. They’re vibrant and go along with the tank amazingly. The Bichir ignores them and they’re very healthy considering the long car ride they had to endure! Would definitely buy more from here!

Exclusively shopped here for I believe almost a year, great owner. Sam is very passionate and gives great direction and advice. I started with one small 2.5 gallon, and since moved into a 10 gallon and a 29 gallon. All my fish and plants have been purchased from here, all happy and healthy. Sam is the man.
