Great little hidden gem at the edge of downtown Apex. Delightful people there with a wealth of knowledge about wine. Coming from California and going on many travel adventures I have tried all kinds of delicious varieties and I was impressed with the unique and wide selection available. The only down side, if you find a wine you love YOU MUST BUY IT!!!! Their selection changes constantly! :) Can't wait to try out their wine paired dinner!

I love love the atmosphere, the visiting musicians, rear wines they carry. This bottle of blueberry wine has been discontinued and only they carry. Rushed there to get myself a box. They're also open into the night. Very classy

What an amazing hidden gem! As a native of Apex, I really enjoy exploring and meeting new people that who relocate here. The wine and atmosphere were amazing. I met the owners and they were welcoming and friendly. They take their time to pair a wine you like. If you are a wine enthusiasts, you can join their monthly membership and enjoy wine tastings all month. If you go at night...make plans to enjoy the Christmas lights out back. Take a jacket or blanket and enjoy.

It's been a long year, but having been vaccinated, we ventured out to Peak of the Vine tonight. Great fun. Wine was good. Service exceptional. But the music and entertainment provided by Todd and Kathy made the night! We will be back.

Stopped here for the first time on the 4th of July and had a great time. Super nice festive atmosphere. They had a special with red white and blue popsicle mimosas! The staff is awesome and they do have beer if wine isn't your thing.

Great experience, atmosphere. Been too other wine bars around, this one is fun yet classy. Patrons were fun with high energy and wines were kept fresh and tasted good. Highly recommend and will be going back for sure

Horrible smell when I visited, like a dead rat. And the workers seemed not to notice, which is a bad sign... I had to leave before ordering anything.Edit, since the owner apparently thinks I'm lying: I visited on August 19th. I'm just getting around to reviewing the place 🙃

Third visit, this time with a friend, for a wine tasting and an awesome burger and fries from Burger 21. The Italian wines tonight were wonderful, especially the Castelnuovo Pinot Grigio and Gaio Gaio Vino Rosso. Grazie to Nikola and his team. Salute!

Great New spot in downtown Apex. This place should prove downtown Apex scene should stay open later than 8pm on the weekend. 10pm with a live band, good wine, and this little place is packed.

So I just discovered this awesome venue in downtown Apex. It's a cute place that I've seen patronized by local wine enthusiasts (they offer unique wines every single week as well as membership to their wine club), and families hanging out in the outdoor space while the parents drink wine or beer and the kids play with the oversized tic tac toe or other games. And of course it's a great date night venue with live music on the weekends and food trucks a couple times a week. I've been back a few times and it's a different experience each time. Oh and they are also dog friendly which is awesome for me.I haven't partaken in their retail shop/liquor bar next door called The Cellar, but I've peeked at it and it looks like a fun place to have a small party or just get a drink in a less crowded space, on like a Thursday night.I'm summary, I think this place is really great since it's so versatile and the wines are good! Why not come check it out?

Great to party here had a good time. The New Hillbillies rocked this little wine bar! Always make sure we go when they have them playing. Surely didn't feel like the "wine bar" crowd. Definitely a country-time-to-party crowd! Great selection of wines (not a beer bar for sure don't go there.) Everyone had a great time and we do share this place with visitors as well; always appreciated. Bring your friends and family and kick back with great tunes. Should have this band in more often.

Love this place!!! The new location is sleek, sexy, and classy. The owners are warm and friendly, and there is always so much going on there! Bands, karaoke, wine-tastings, and more! This is the “Cheers” of Apex, where everybody knows your name! Very friendly crowd, laid back environment, pet and kid friendly. If you are looking for a chill environment to meet with friends and have wine, this is the place to meet- indoor or outdoor seating is available. 👍🏽👍🏽

Great spot in quaint downtown Apex to share a glass of wine with friends, or have one yourself. You won't be lonely with Nico, the owner, always around. He's welcoming, knowledgeable about wine and passionate about having a great enjoyable venue for newcomers and regulars alike. Has some outdoor seating, as well as indoor areas including couches, so you can feel right at home. Wonderful service, fantastic selection and reasonable prices ... a must visit for any wine aficionado.

I finally got to visit their new location for the first time with a group of friends last night. We were regular patrons of the old location and enjoyed great service then. Because of the large crowd lingering in front of the bar, we were told to go to the side of the bar to order wine. When we did, the bartender gave us a nasty growl and a rude gesture. We do not put up with that kind of behavior! We never ordered anything and left the establishment immediately. It seems customer service is not a priority at Peak of the Vine.

I love that downtown Apex has a wine bar like this. And one that also serves beer is a plus too! It was very busy last night, but we didn't have to wait long for service which was a pleasant surprise. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is really just for the ambiance. I feel like the interior could be redesigned/updated and they could add some more comfortable/inviting outdoor chairs and couches (ones with cushions). But despite this, I'm looking forward to going back and supporting a local business!

Santina makes this place awesome! She is so patient, kind, and accommodating. It took me forever to decide on a glass of wine that I enjoyed - my pallet was just fickle today and she was so helpful. Love the outdoor seating and the laid back vibe. We’ll be back!

Small but comfortable place with many wine selections. Bartender was attentive and courteous. Large screen TV which was advantagous for Monday night football, but normally wouldn't want it on as it didn't fit the vibe. A little pricey, least expensive glass was $10. But a fair pour.

This place is awesome! No grocery store wines here which I a big plus for the wine enthusiast! Nikola is extremely knowledgeable and there are a ton of new wines by the glass! So many options! Not a wine lover? thier craft beer selection will fit your needs.great live music on the weekends. Check it out for sure!

The wine selection is decent but they are pricey. The main reason I don't really like this place is one of the employees, who I think is an owner/manager, is unprofessional. We've tried Peak of the Vine a few times and have had several unpleasant encounters with this person. Most recently my wife was ordering a bottle of wine and the employee tells me, "Make yourself useful" and hands me our wine glasses to take to our table. That isn't the type of service I'd expect anywhere.

The Peak of the Vine is a hidden gem in Apex. They have a large assortment of wines by the glass or bottle. It's former location was much more visible on Salem Street. It's still on Salem, but tucked back in the corner of a small strip center. It is worth seeking out. Regular specials are featured. When we went in on a Monday, it was just $5 for a glass of wine that normally costs up to $10. There's entertainment featured on the weekend. Inside the decor is tasteful and comfortable. There is outdoor seating, although it was much too hot for that during our July visit.

This place is my new go to spot. The bartenders are top notch and extremely knowledgable. I am always greated by name with a smile. Every weekend they have quality entertainment that continually brings a crow . Let me add that after what i discovered tonight about Yelp reviews trust Google not yelp . Peak had 8 glowing reviews and 1 bad one. Yelps recommendation algorithm kept only the bad. If you are looking for a great night out you can't miss with Peak.
