Just left this location. The store was clean and the selection was decent. However my experience at checkout was terrible. The cashier never greeted me or look at me. He had his earphones in the entire time. Never spoke to me. I felt dismissed. Customer service is important. I was very disappointed.

Please bring back the gluten free Msgnolia pound cake mixes please. Sponge cake too. They were amazing people could not tell a difference.

Not sure who thought this new checkout concept was a good one! There are only 2 normal checkouts now with limited belt space. This is a good idea why?! They put in a huge self checkout area but you can only fill one bag at a time. There is no space after you scan your items. If you have a basket instead of a cart you have to put your scanned foods in a bag and place on the dirty ground!!! Who designed this renovation??? Won’t be coming back! I used to love this Food Lion, but they ruined it with a renovation that wasn’t thought out well!!!!

My boyfriend and I decided to shop at our old local food lion last week. The store itself looked great we haven't been there in a while and the changes made are really nice. The problem came however when we were checking out. Our cashier was acting very strangly and made and my boyfriend super uncomfortable. She kept mumbling under her breath and asking weird questions at one point asking my boyfriend if he was my dad ( he is one year older than me and dosnt look that old) she even reached out to touch my breast while talking about my shirt I had to literally take a step back or she would have touched me.i never complain but it made me really uncomfortable won't be back after that bizarre experience. The whole time I thought she had some developmental issues and that's why I remained polite but looking back pretty sure she was high and not weed, my boyfriend was in shock and angry but didn't want to trigger my ptsd causing. A scene as he could tell I was at my limit and just wanted to leave. My interaction was not right I shouldn't feel unsafe while shopping.

What's the story with the prepared food department? The hot food bar which is 11a-2p and 4p-7p, and which I have been enjoying at several other locations without issues... the food was 90% empty and what was there was obviously left all day and not cleaned/rotated etc. (not edible). I waited until 4:15p to go in expecting a fresh lineup hoping my previous experience was just bad timing. This should be unacceptable, there appeared to be one young girl working the entire department and she didn't look like she knew anything about what to do. Very disappointing considering this is my neighborhood local Food Lion and I am used to enjoying the food bar once or twice a week or more sometimes.

This Food Lion was very clean and customer service was very good. They have great choices and less expensive than other grocery stores. I purchased the Mums that were displayed outside - healthy and great colors.

November 23 have to update change stars 5 to 3. this because they just put in a load of self checkouts. They also took away about 30% of their fresh meats and use that space to put wrapped delicatessen items in. This used to be such a great store with amazing prices, and now there’s no difference than any other supermarket . Truly sad to lose such a gem.Earlier in 2023 * FIRST OF ALL - NO SELF CHECK OUTS! TY Food Lion full value in your customers and maintaining integrity. And I’ve never had to wait. They put cold stuff in blue bags so that you can easily divide your shopping when unpacking.I was told Food Lion’s aren’t that great. I’ve had the opposite experience. they beat all the competition hands down for the best produce in town. They also have prepared produce in small amounts at very reasonable prices. The bakery is expensive But if you’ve tried the sliced pumpkin cake you know why. I also think they have the best meat in town, no pork belly yet though. I save a lot more money in here than anywhere else. PRETTYMUCH, comparative to all the other like everywhere. Prices are creeping up. The free MVP card saves me 10-15% every time I shop, which is no small thing. The place is super clean, the staff are great, the parking lot has ultra smooth fresh tarmac, it’s never too packed and ….they have the very best public restrooms I’ve ever seen in a grocery store.

The food lion is just a store, same as most others. Most of the staff is friendly, prices are more or less average, no really good deals and in some cases quite a bit higher than,.. Publix. Still I stop in every week or two for essentials.Today was interesting at the checkout where the clerk never responded to my hello (or even looked in my direction), Instead she continued to talk to her co-worker and only spoke two words to me at the end.I get it, being a checkout clerk is not much fun so I just let things slide. However as unchallenging as the job may be, bagging is not that complicated. Cold with cold, dry with dry, etc,.. but you would think even yhe most bored clerk would know better than to put fresh tomatoes on the bottom,.

Decent corner Food Lion supermarket. Not quite as big as others, and a smaller selection of products, but I have never had any trouble finding the essentials. It's worth going to if you live close, rather than going out of your way to a larger store.Employees are helpful when asking questions about where items are located, however I have noticed that several are new and still learning the job. As well as some stockers being spoken to negatively by management if they make a small mistake.That said, I still recommend this Food Lion location for your essential shopping needs.

There is no doubt that they have the friendliest employees at this store. I do have to admit the store looks like it hasn't been touched since the 80's. I also have found that the Food Lion brand is not as good as other store brands. I only shop at this chain for items on sale and you have to watch that the discount actually comes off at the register.

Would have gotten three stars from me.Horrible lady checking me out. Extremely rude and she wanted to go home.Worst thing is she single bag to all my heavy items. On the way to my door there goes the milk ripped bag. There goes the soda ripped bag.If you don't want to work, don't go there and work.

The staff is amazing, especially the sales associate Nancy. She is always pleasant, professional, and helpful. The store is clean, and organized with customer service being their priority. It is such a nice touch especially with the pandemic. I especially enjoy the fresh produce and flowers. I look forward to shopping at this Food Lion.

I shop here every day and it is by far the best Food Lion I've ever shopped at. The people are friendly and the customer service is excellent. The meat and produce is great as well as the bakery. They have really good sales and have everything I ever need in stock. They hardly run out of something and if they do ususlly the manager will mark down a different brand of the item you came for to the price of the original item. They really work hard to make sure you have everything you need and to make sure every customer is happy and satisfied.

Compared to other food lions. Prices are higher. No self checkout and takes hell lot of time with just one at register. Bad customer service as customer has to run for everything. They don’t honor the prices on display.

I love this Food Lion! It is on my way home from work and always easy for me to get in and out. There are never any long lines at checkout and if there is even a small backup at a register, usually a very observant employee will open another register. Prices are very competitive, good produce and meat selection. The one thing I don’t like is that they don’t have an actual meat counter and there deli is pretty small. This store is always clean!

This Food Lion is not huge but it's clean and they have pretty good sales. Customer service has always been great. They have a produce "cave" room, they sell beer and wine. Medium sized deli and the Taste of Inspirations line is good. They have some packaged hot foods but no food or salad bar. Lots of registers open every time I've been there; very little wait time if any.

We shop here almost every day but over the past week I have had the same cashier twice who has an attitude. This guy pretty much threw my groceries around. No greeting from him or did he ask if I found everything okay. Overall, I love the convenience and prices of this food lion, just had a bad experience with that particular cashier.

There are a ton of grocery stores in Apex. This one's right up the street from me. Food Lion has better prices than most of the stores around, and also has some specialty items that, oddly, you can't find at other grocery stores around here (no other grocery store around has El Yucateco hot sauce that I've seen). Produce is a little limited (though it's upgraded compared to other Food Lions I've seen) and the bakery falls short of some of the more premium stores around but that's to be expected.

Bad meat lately. We have been shopping here for 6 years and have noticed a steep decline in quality of meat and produce in the last month. We have had to toss about 30$ of meat in the last couple of weeks. Two packs of chicken breasts earlier and one of ribs from just today(bought today). As soon as we opened the packages the smell was foul and the meat was unusable. Their produce has always been a little beat up but it seems worse lately. Starting to think about avoiding this store and that is such a shame because it is the closest one.

Not a huge grocery store, so while they have most every type of product you might look for, they don't necessarily have a large variety of any one type of product. I find that Food Lion tends to have a bit better pricing than some of the other stores. Most often they are not too crowded, so checkout lines are not too bad.

Love the specials!!!! 6904 Jenks Road Apex, NC, cashier 0214, had the best customer service during my visit, as well as the associate stocking the meats, that helped me get the right product that was on sale, my time was 8:16pm when I checked out, I really hope you can find the other associate that helped me, so he can be recognized for his wonderful customer service also!!!! Thank you!!!!

Clean well stocked store with a nice Gluten Free freezer near the front Deli. The Gluten Free Cheesecake sampler features a nut crust and is delicious (1 out of 4 cakes eaten has had some shell in the crust, so small warning) . The produce section has its own climate area and is very fresh. Nicest Food Lion I've been to out of ~15.
