Kim was amazing to work with when I fell in love with a cat that was posted. She worked with me and help make the pre-approval process easy. Carol is amazing also! They have so many cats and dogs that it literally breaks my heart, but the volunteers are awesome and those fur babies are taken great care of. If you are looking to adopt, please check with SCHS because I promise they have some amazing animals! The adoption fee covers shots given by owner of SCHS, as well as spay/neuter. If anyone wants to complain about the adoption fees, I promise just a spay/neuter for a cat is $200+ (vaccines usually run $140+). Pictured is my fur baby adopted from the SCHS.

Amanda is a pure gem with a heart of gold. You can tell she truly cares about the animals so much (each and every one that walks through the door) and every time I go there I can see how hard she works for the kitties. Can’t say enough good about her.

I did give a 5 star rating due to our adoption of our pup a year ago. I'm sorry this has changed due to a recent event. I found a lost cat and asked if I could bring him there to see if he has a chip and if he did could they hold him until the owner came to get him, if not I would bring him home and try to find the owner myself. The lady said we are not taking strays and hung up on me. I just wanted him to be scanned. She was so rude and wouldn't even let me explain the situation. NOT an animal loving lady if you ask me

Thank God for volunteers. Animals need and deserve love, respect, and care. This place helps needful animals to find homes. Please, if you are able, consider donating goods—dog and cat food, pee pads, your old newspapers, litter, blankets, towels, cages/crates, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc.—or perhaps even your time. Monetary donations and even some supplies are often able to be tax write-offs.

What a wonderful group of people, if you're looking to add to your fur family this is the place. Dont let the name fool you just because it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as a fancy pet store doesn't mean they dont have beautiful animals for you to choose from, it just means all their love and attention goes directly to the animals in their care!!! Not trying to sell you the entire store along with your new addition

Clean, nice and loving caretakers and volunteers that feed,water,clean up after, yet find the time to pet and play with them and take care of medical needs they may have. These fur babies range from little playful bundles, goofy, snugglers, quiet, shy all looking for their person.

I have given a higher review before because of adopting our Sugar there. But very disappointed with the situation that arose when my son's dog was stolen and dumped at Applebee's parking lot 10/16,17. We were all heartbroken when she came up missing. They went crazy looking for her on Sunday (disappeared late am) and Monday. The person that handled the matter concerning our Millie was very rude and accused my daughter in law wrongly with lies of abuse. Never, ever as they and our whole family are animal lovers. I will think twice before I recommend your facility again after this. Shame on you. Get your facts straight. Too bad I wasn't present when they came to retrieve her. Though I'm glad my daughter in law let this woman know what was what.Your behaviour was inexcuseable. I thought better of the people who work there but this has soured me, for sure.

Super patient with us in finding our new kitten! Kim emailed me back and forth for a couple of days answering all my questions, she was superb! I set up an appointment to meet 2 different kitties and she gave us all the time we needed to find out which would be our new addition to our household. Even though the place isn’t all brand new and fancy, you can tell how much they care for the animals there and really do help you with anything you need. Will definitely be coming back here next time we want to add another family member. I recommend this place for anyone.

Any facility that cares for homeless animals can get 5 stars from me. The building is clean. There are no odors like I have experienced in other places. The volunteers I observed were passionate about the work they were doing. Please help by adopting a lifetime pet.

Went for a yard sale, prices were VERY inflated. I went to help the animals, not build a new kennel. Did spend $40 which should help out.

Very pleasant to work with. They made the adoption process for our new dog easy and professional. They don't just hand the dog over to you, but they don't make you go through a ton of red tape either. The volunteers were very helpful and knowledgeable of the dog's personality. My wife and I were very pleased. Thanks!

Adopted a little lab mix puppy 8 weeks old. Adoption was easy & the fee includes shots, deworming, microchipping & spay/neuter services. She's adorable. Couldn't have been easier, they were great to work with. Give an animal a good home this year - the fee goes up $50 first of the year.

This volunteer organization does so much with so little. I adopted an old dog nobody wanted, that had been sheltered for 10 months. She's been a joy to my life. Many other shelter's either would not have taken her, or would have killed her after a short time. Thanks, for you dedication to those creatures that are at the mercy of our care to survive.

Adopted my new baby boy from here and was highly satisfied with their honesty and being upfront. They also helped me with Kodi when he got ill and saved him from certain death. I highly recommend them and is worth traveling to this location to adopt rescue animals so we can give them a better life and a loving home.

Rebecca Dial is a LIAR. We came and chose a puppy 7 weeks old, there two brothers cooper and copper, cooper was adopted but still there until his second shot same for copper. A .older couple came and she gave copper to them and lied about it. Saying copper was sick and not going to be adopted. This woman lied to my grandchildren saying we could pick him up in a week. She wouldn't let us pay for him in case something happen to him, but she had a pit puppy with parasites we could get and pay for him and get him when he is well. REALLY Rebecca. So people beware of this liar.

adopting a kitten was very simple, we did it right then and there but adopting a dog has been very difficult and stressful. we've been waiting on a call for almost a week and every time we call we don't get an answer or they are very rude.

Rude people . Broke my little girls heart . Met Chopper and was told we would have to wait 2 weeks to adopt him. .Filled out an app that day .visited him 3 times and went to get him on the day and was told he was adopted by one of the rude lady's friends .sorry

Basically they sold my dog to the foster parents when it went against my wishes. I was in the process of getting my dog back then suddenly he disappeared and the employee I was talking with suddenly didn't exist. Now I can never get my baby boy back
