Updated April 2024 - This piggly wiggly is back in the game! Nice changes!Pros:-Refreshed staff-Respectable selection of quality meats (best quality you’ll find in the city).-Friendly butchers on duty for custom orders and cuts.-Manager present and asking how I was doing and and if I needed help (Bonus points)-Bakery items are very good to excellent.-Good selection of items and specialty southern favorite items.-Checkout staff quality has greatly increased.Cons:-Prices are a little high for the market.-Very small selection for health conscious shoppers.-Parking lot is a bit cumbersome (but that’s not their fault)-Dairy offerings are a little limited.

It's a very clean and well stocked grocery store. The owner is super friendly and helpful. His manager is also. Cashiers are not always friendly or very helpful.

I visit Piggly Wiggly maybe twice a week I like to get the fruit, yogurt and granola cups that are made with fresh fruit. My favorite being the ones with blueberries and pineapples 😋😋. The staff is always pleasant and helpful.

The cashier wasn't friendly at all. Looking over shoulders talking to someone almost the whole time. After giving me my receipt he never said thank you, have a good day or anything. Very rude. Then I had to put my own bags in my shopping cart.

Overpriced food! Inflation is real and I also feel the prices are apart of monopolizing in little Ashokie. The community doesnt have a lot to choose from and they make sure of that! So sad!They had the cart for my grandmother so she could get around the store but it was sucked. She can barely stand but she had to keep standing and sitting down to get it to move forward. So inconvenient for her. Do better Piggly Wiggly!

Definitely an older country grocery store. Product caters to an older southern clientele. Friendly service, quality products, prices are competitive. Good news is they will be relocating to a newly renovated location sometime before the end of 2018.Update 12/11/18They moved to their new location about 2 months ago. The store has been updated and looks brand new. Prices are still the same. They are offering more variety, but they still carry all the good old fashioned products that everyone loves. New photos should be posted soon.

Wasn't my original Piggly Wiggly but I wanted some rutabagas and while I was in town I decided to stop to this Piggly Wiggly there wasn't any fresh rutabagas at this store .However I located the can rutabagas, they was perfect. I'm sure it was fresh before I arrived that evening.

Great selection of grocery items. Only store in Ahoskie that still cuts meats to order for customers. Very clean and well run. Great selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables. Comparable prices to other grocery stores.👍

Their Store is so much better than Food Lion in Murfreesboro. They have things other stores do not have. The store is cleaner than Food Lion . They have a great selection of beef . Etc etc

My service today in the Deli/Bakery was very unacceptable. I went in on my lunch break and a gentleman in the electric cart was waiting and he said he had been there for a while and no one had helped him yet. Mind you it was 4 Associates. I said excuse me one lady said I'll be right with you still another 5 minutes nothing so we walked away with no service. No one took the time to stop what they were doing to help the CUSTOMER. I'm very unhappy with my visit today. If I could've gave zero stars I would've.

I live this store good prices in meet not to mentioned potatoes and onions. And recently had a check issue involving someone cashing a check I had written them and they took it to this store and cashed it b4 the date on check. It was handled professionally and I was not held responsible for someone being greedy. Thanks Joe

I love this place. This is the only place I can purchase freshly cured pork, reasonable prices, country spices and fresh produce. Anything my grandmother made it used when I was a little girl I can find at the Piggly Wiggly unless it's just not being produced anymore!

The place is clean, the price is reasonable. It must have been an isolated incident, but if the cashier was customer focused, and doesn't gossip while attending to the customer, I would have given it a 5.

Piggly Wiggly is MY store! Being a single mom the prices are always right for my pockets! The associates are wonderful. They will even take your groceries to your vehicle for you for FREE! Simply put, this is old fashioned charm. There are little baskets for the children to push-(definately useful to avoid the sneak attack of unexpected items that seemingly grow in your cart at the check out). The butchers will special cut your meat how you like it!! And with a smile on their faces! As if to say, "Noooooo problem Mon"! But I HAVE to tell you about the treasure...Being a Chef my favorite spot in the store is the hidden treasure in the right corner in the back of the store. The reduced produce!!! The store packages just rippened fruits and veggies at a discounted price which is PERFECT for us. We have an overflow of vegetable omelettes and all kinds of healthy smoothies and shakes- DAILY. Yes Lord!! I eat clean therefore it's a triple blessing for me. I can afford it. I get to feed my family what we love and IN abundance. And it's always there. Plus my son gets a free balloon with every visit WITH a smile. Blue please.🎈There's NOTHING like the satisfaction I get from shopping here. My shopping experience is always a blessing to me and my family. Sometimes before I pull off, I glace over. I look at the pig on the building overhead and say out loud, " Lord, you did it AGAIN". It doesn't feel good when you can't eat what you like when you want it. This store loves me I'm convinced. I often leave out with some change too and when I don't I'm ok with that because I KNOW I got my money's worth and I am well pleased. We LOVE you Piggly Wiggly.
