Can you believe this? I pulled into the parking lot to find my Grandchild fast asleep in the car seat. Because I didn't want to leave him alone, and I wanted him to sleep, I thought "I wonder if they have what I came to find?" So, I called and an employee answered. I asked if they stocked what I needed, yes!! Then the big ask "Could you get it, ring it up cash and bring to my car? "Sure!!" And he did!! I paid him,and off he went to continue being helpful. Thanks!!

Great hardware store with way better service and character than the big box stores. They have great 🏡 gardening supplies, plants, hardware 🔨 , supplies and more. They also have ♿ handicap accessible parking and restrooms. They also sell some motor equipment like weed eaters, chainsaws, and lawn mowers.

I have always enjoyed the store and I was hoping they were going to be a lifesaver today when I remembered that they did mailing and shipping. I had to mail some important documents including death certificates that needed to go to family in New York I go back at 3:20 this afternoon and I'm getting a box but then they tell me no they're closing early because they have a meeting to go to. There was no notification on the door when I came in there was no communication ahead of time that the post office would be closing early on Thursday December the 1st and I left work to come do that because I knew it could be done quickly and I could get back to the office. I don't know what kind of meeting it was but it was handled very very poorly. Especially in the busiest shipping season of an entire year. I'm being gracious with two stars because of my previous positive experience in the store in general.

They have a little bit of everything and a lot of Stihl outdoor equipment.Prices on some things gardening or battery powered equipment is cheaper than the big box stores.

Remodel looks great, a lot of new products too. The only thing I wish was better was the prices, :(. But for Ace Hardware it’s about convenience so you expect to pay a little bit more.

This is the friendliest hardware store I've ever been to. They're courteous and efficient. They often have community fundraisers and I'm a sucker for engagement like that.Dawn, in particular, always remembers my name and asks after my dog. She's a flurry of activity hosting the line and keeps it from feeling like a chore.The whole staff is great. Really just a pleasant place.

I had to write a review as I was extremely impressed with the customer service at this store. I was looking for items that I was not familiar with and Stewart went out of his way to help me find all the materials I needed for a large home project. Thank you Stewart and Steelman Ace Hardware! Always an awesome experience. Great service from very knowledgeable associate's. Prices are often better than the box stores. Very convenient plus they have a wonderful post office on site. Can't say enough nice things about this great asset to the Bermuda Run community.

Nice store. More personalized service than you can get at the mega stores. Good paint section. Excellent RV/sliding door section. Well stocked on gardening essentials. Coming from Forsyth Co., take 158 straight into Davie Co., (over the Crosby Bridge that spans the Yadkin) and it's a couple miles up the road on the right. Don't bother with the USPS mini-location that they have in the back. I have problems with them on more than one occasion.

Love this store! We bought a Weber grill there, which they assembled & delivered at no additional charge, & also took our old grill away. This is a high end Weber Genesis II. It wouldn't ignite this year. Weber was zero help. I went in & talked with Stuart, Steelman's manager. He immediately called the area Weber rep, who came the next day & fixed it immediately. Wow, what GREAT service!

Went to get new chainsaw chain today from this Ace Hardware. Man behind the counter was full of attitude from the get go. It’s not my fault you obviously don’t like working here. It that what I’m paying extra for? Brought my chainsaw in and put it on the counter, and he sold me the wrong size chain. Brought chain back to get correct size and he acted as if it were MY fault. So sorry for shopping here and bothering you. I will take my business elsewhere. Beware.

If you need something for a quick repair, house or yard maintenance, gardening, canning, plumbing, electrical, nuts, bolts, screws and other general hardware, crafting, painting or staining and the equipment needed to get the job done, right. Hand & power tools, grills and grilling supplies, snow removal gear, cleaning supplies, fertilizer, potting soil, or a candle to enjoy with company. It's like a general store & a hardware store combined. Steelman's always has what I need at a good price, & it's only 7 miles from my house. Friendly knowledgeable staff who genuinely care about your needs. I go there at least once a week for something. They have a post office on site and offer a repair/service department for all your lawn equipment. They are a certified Stihl dealer as well.

Exceptioanal service! I went in knowing very little about what I needed, but employees Jake and Karch patiently explained the differences in all my options and helped me figure the best choice. They even offered alternative methods for my project. I got so excited i ended up getting both to try out! It's awesome having a local hardware store with people who know their stuff. Very convenient that this store is an FFL and can process transfers. What is un-acceptable is the fact that I waited over an hour and a half to pick up my handgun on the day it was delivered, only to have an employee come get me to say I'll have to come back another day. Evidently the only person that can complete the transfers isn't too concerned about customers. Hope you're not in a hurry. Frustrating !

Chainsaw service is top-notch. I went yesterday to get a replacement captive cover screw for my MS391, expecting to pay $10 for this specialty item. It was in stock, 99 cents, and they offered to install it for free! Wow. I'm going back tomorrow for a new chain - buying local, not online.

I had a Stihl MS210 chainsaw with carb problems. The mechanic replaced the carb along with a tune up kit. Took about a week to get it back, runs like a top now. Even fixed the kill switch without charging me extra and tensioned the chain. I'd like to tip my hat to whomever worked on it. Couldn't be happier, highly recommend repair shop

Glad they are local because it saves trips to Mocksville but I wish more of them knew more about hardware. Got a hole about half way down a garden hose. Had my wife stop to get a splice to repair the hose. Young guy kept insisting he had to know if she wanted a male or female end on the splice. It was for the middle pal, already had ends on it. Then only 1 man there knows anything about bolts. If the rest helps you their solution to everything is a bolt that’s threaded all the way down. Those won’t work all the time guys. They’re just not as strong as a regular bolt. Learn what “grip length” is on a bolt and you’ll be way ahead. “Grip length.”

I respectfully disagree with the other review. I shop here on a regular basis. I find all the staff very knowledgable and helpfull. I've even been sent to other stores for products they did not have. I'm impressed with their Stihl repairs and parts. I'm an accomplished small engine mechanic and work on alot of Stihl equipment. Steelman's Stihl specialist is one of the best I've ever talked to. So far I've never had to go shopping for small engine parts elsewhere. I agree that their prices are a little higher but when I calculate the gas to get to the other (mostly big-box) shops, I come out cheaper here. I always look forward to going by here. Sometimes just to chew the fat.

Went to look at a Stihl KM powerhead, customer service was rather lacking when I asked about what the return policy was. Told 7 days by Stihl but it was dealer discretion and they don't take returns. Disappointed will either take my business elsewhere or buy an Echo that has at least a Home Depot return policy. Didn't exactly feel the warm and fuzzies that made me want to spend between $300 and 400.

Friendly, truly helpful and truly knowledgeable staff -- a rarity this day and time. If they don't have something, they'll tell you who does and where to go to get it. They're not just about making a buck off of you, but really trying to help you out. They also support the community in which they serve. I highly recommend them.
