Easy appointment for a groom but felt disorganized upon arrival. The grooming building was not open, even though I arrived within the suggested time. The staff was friendly, but my poodle's cut was shorter than requested and a bit choppy. His sanitary was a bit too short, and he was irritated for a day or so, rubbing his bottom. The groom was timely, and the cost was as expected. I might give it a second chance but undecided at this time. If so, I will update.

BEWAREAbsolutely horrified at the way the situation was handled with my golden and border collie. Today I called the groomer to schedule our normal monthly grooming appointment. I was informed that my dog had torn off his muzzle and bit the groomer while cutting our dogs nails. Upon pickup last grooming session, me nor my husband were made aware of this incident. To make matters worse, the groomers were told specifically not to do teeth or nails on our dog. This is because the golden had an incident five years ago with another groomer. We make sure to tell them this every single time he is groomed. Otherwise, he loves to be groomed and loves people. We have been to multiple groomers and they all have given both of our dogs perfect report cards. We felt that it was odd that both of our dogs refused to go in the building the last two times, they had never done this before. They both came home with UTIs and drank a gallon of water the last time. It had taken the groomers from open to close to get to our dogs…we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We feel we pay them handsomely to take care of our pups. We are extremely disappointed that the last piece of advice was to get training on our dog (whom is very sweet and docile unless SCARED). Rest assured, our dogs are well trained! We get compliments everywhere we go on how good they are, they are often socialized in public in various settings with dogs, babies, and adults. How about this establishment get training on communicating to their customer what happens with their pet and not overworking the groomers. Absolutely horrifying that we weren’t made aware!

The most animal friendly boarding facility available here. Staff is well trained and very courteous with owners and happy to welcome pets. My pets stay home with my housekeeper wehen I travel, but I've had a tour of the facility and my friends who board with them are delighted with the condition of their pets and the feedback from the staff. My standard poodle is groomed by Denna and she is excellent with the modified puppy cut which I prefer. She had a web site and daily photos of dogs she has just groomed. If you've benefited from my previous posts, hopefully you'll check out this enthusiastic endorsement.

UPDATE APR 2023: Another great boarding week! I know my dogs are so very much loved and cared for by the staff, and my dogs love them.UPDATE AUG 2022: This weekend, our oldest dog had a medical emergency. The staff went above and beyond to care for him and seek veterinary care, which was quite a feat on a Saturday. This is the first medical emergency we have had in the eight or nine years of boarding here. I cannot begin to tell you how comforting it is to have people caring for your pets as though they were their own. They, without a doubt, achieve their mission statement every day. Thank you for serving our community with incredible loving hearts for our fur babies.Previous review:Our pups love it here. Of all the boarding places I have used over many years with various dogs, this facility takes the best care of my fur babies. They come out happy and obviously have not been stressed.

I am so pleased and happy with the service at Pet Lodge Grooming. Lexi has groomed my 2 dogs twice in the past 3 months, and done an EXCELLENT job both times. I have a slightly anxious larger dog that needs a bath and nail trim and has very sensitive paws. Lexi does a great job on her nails, and Bella never looks upset when I pick her up. Ozzie is a small fluffy Peke mix with hair on his paws that has to be trimmed carefully. Lexi gave him a shorter summer cut at my request. He is always happy when I pick him up. Costs are higher than back in Texas, but not unreasonable. Good groomers like Lexi are a treasure, and worth every $.

Some of the nicest and most professional folks you would ever want to meet. My basset hound Molly is rarely away from me and does not like being boarded. Due to a family emergency, I had to board her twice. The second time i had to leave her, she ran right in with her tail wagging. It says a lot about the excellent care she received.

This place is amazing! They treat the fur babies like royalty! A huge bonus is the super wonderful and friendly staff, as well as the talented groomers! I highly recommend this wonderful place!

HORRIBLE. If I could give 0 stars I would. I took my 5 lbs yorkiepoo puppy here to get groomed. He was cut in SEVERAL places on his private areas and they did not tell me that he was harmed! When I spoke to the groomer she acknowledged that she accidentally cut him with the razors and apologized, which I appreciated. However, when speaking to the manger about their policies regarding animals being harmed in their care, I was first told that they didn’t have any. He then quickly retracted that statement and said that I would have to pay a vet to prove that they were negligent and then they would consider what they could do. He was rude and very unhelpful. I feel so bad for my innocent puppy, I can tell he’s in pain. And considering that I paid over $70 for his trim, I can say it’s not worth it! Don’t subject your animal to this type of care, they deserve better!

I have been bringing my two dogs, Smoke and Ghost, both of whom can be difficult at the best of times, to the Pinehurst Pet Lodge for a little over six years now. The owner and the staff are incredible and they have won over my two easily. The accommodations are quite literally better and cleaner than some of the places that I stayed while in the military...air conditioning, private cubicles, an outdoor porch and a flat screen TV. And, during several personal emergencies, the owner of the facility reached out to me to offer his assistance in taking care of my dogs so that I could attend to family or personal matters. Great people and a great facility.

We didn't know where to look or what to expect from a boarding facility when we needed one for our pup, but on the recommendation from our vet (Vanguard-also an awesome place-thanks guys!) we were introduced to The Pet Lodge...what a blessing! These guys and gals are over the top when it comes to what any business should be. They've been the most friendly and accommodating every time we've needed them! This is the place to take your "fur-baby" for sure. Our pup has definitely been taken care of and loved as have all the other fur-babies we've seen there! Thanks again to all you guys for some of the best service we've ever experienced!

What a fantastic place! I checked out a few places on line and decided when I came to the Pinehurst area from the Washington DC area to board, my family member, Scout our black lab. When I arrived I was greeted by the owners, Jim and his lovely wife Karen. I knew right away this was a family affair and they treated each dog like a member of their own family! The place was spotless, smelled fresh, and was appropriately air conditioned. I was so impressed that I immediately got a tour of the rooms, the kitchen area, the little lockers for each dog and all the other amenities. What is nice is that they let you take your dog for a walk or back into town any time you want, so you don't just abandon your dog but can give them some quality time. They did everything perfectly, food, meds, and love and attention by the great staff! This is THE place to board your pet in comfort!

Great haircut for my puppy. They ask how short , then cut it to that length. Groomers very professional and show their love for the dogs. Felt very comfortable leaving my 3-1/2 mo. puppy there.

March 9, 2022 was my Senior Pup’s first visit here. When I called a few weeks prior to book the appointment, I was told grooming my Dog would take 4 hours so I booked the time and planned my day around the 4-4.5 hour window. I dropped my Dog off around 11 am and confirmed the 4 hour time frame and was told 3-4 hours. Arrived back at around 3:30 to pick up my Dog (had to pick up my oldest from school around 4) and was told she was running behind and it would be at least another hour! I had to go ALL THE WAY to Union Pines High School to pick up my oldest, drive ALL THE WAY BACK to Hwy 5 to pick my Pup up, and they STILL weren’t done til AFTER 5, and drive ALL THE WAY Home in Lobelia! $92 + ALL that gas (over $4 a gallon) wasted and I get Home and they didn’t clip his dew claws! So NOW I have to spend MORE in gas and about another $16 to get his nails FINISHED?! The ONLY reason I didn’t give 1 ⭐️ is because his coat looked nice and neat… but will NOT be back!

I moved to Aberdeen, NC about a year ago. Since then, I have used the Pet Lodge many times for my two dogs, they are ALWAYS well taken care of there. They come home in the same condition I left them- happy & well taken care of. The staff knows the animals they care for by name & by personality. They truly make it a home away from home for your pets.

I had the pleasure of touring the facility with the owner and it is an amazing place! State of the art systems for keeping everything clean and odor free, the place was spotless. The dog rooms were great with a tv in every room and an outdoor play area for each. The cat room has a tv that constantly plays videos of squirrels and birds - they seems enraptured by the sights and sounds! All in all I cannot think of a better place to house my four footed family while I am away - all of the animals looked happy and healthy and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to any of my friends or family!

ATTENTION CAT OWNERS:The pet lodge has a cat groomer!! It is so hard to find one around the area. Elizabeth is very sweet and enjoys spending the time to groom our cat. She is communicative and very professional. She genuinely loves to provide the best care.

My two girls always receive the best care at The PetLodge. The staff is very friendly and knows how to take outstanding care of my very spoiled girls. The groomers are magnificent. I can't say enough about The Petlodge of Pinehurst. I highly recommend this facility when you need to board your pets.

Abby and Maizey are always well taken care of by the caring people at Pinehurst Pet Lodge. We have been boarding our dogs there for at least 2 years. I always recommend this facility to friends and family. The grooming facility is also a plus.

Wonderful place! I love that it is so clean and modern, but the owners and the staff are what make this the best kennel I have ever taken my dog. Max absolutely loves everyone there and just melts when Christy holds him! I highly recommend this place! Thank you to Jim and Karen and their wonderful staff for all that they do for Max!!! This is by far the best place around of you have to board your pets. The staff is THE BEST and you can tell they are pet lovers it's clean and welcoming, private areas for the animals. They have always been amazing with us and our fur babies

I had my dog booked there and they called saying they didn't have a room for her because they have too many dogs. She even said they have a dog in the break room because they have no room. They didn't apologize and in fact got defensive when I said I wasn't happy that I booked weeks ago and pay for a room and my dog ends up crated for half a day. They refused to own up to their mistake. If they had been kind about it I would have forgiven them but they instead made it a stressful and upsetting situation for both me and my dog. Never again will I go there. Far too unprofessional. I do however recommend Bed and Biscuits near Fayetteville, it's absolutely amazing. I have taken my dog there numerous times and they go above and beyond in the care of your dog. however be warned if you go to the Pet lodge.

I love this place. My furbaby, Norie, gets a bath every week with Christy and Deanna. They are in a word wonderful. Not only do they do a great job grooming, they look out for any thing that might be of concern to me or them in regard to Norie's overall health. Norie has also boarded there on several occasions and they spoil her just like my husband and I do. I trust them completely. Friendly and helpful staff that go above and beyond. Plus I love Jimmy and Karen, the owners.

We've boarded our cat Bella at the Lodge almost since they opened and wouldn't consider going any place else. The facility is first rate, and you'd be hard pressed to find friendlier, more compassionate people than owners Jim and Karen and their wonderful staff!

I Have Been Looking For A Groomer That I Could Trust To Take Care Of My Baby I Thought I Found It Here But I Was Wrong Outward Appearance My Baby Looked Fantastic But As Soon As I Got Him Home Took Him Out The Car He Didn't Want To Run Or Play In The Yard So I Assumed It Was The Heat So Waited Until It Cooled Off And Tried Again Same Results So When My Husband Got Home He Looked Him Over And Discovered A Nick On His Paw No One Mentioned That To Me So He Will Not Be Returning And I Will Not Be Recommending This Place To Anyone Interested All They Had To Do Was Let Me Know So I Wouldn't Recommend Bringing Your Pet Here
