Was super disappointed with my visit today. Went in and waited for an hour to get an ultrasound for my pet. After the machine not working they couldn’t help me and I made an appointment with Bond Vet immediately and she was treated there in 20 minutes. Seaport Animal Hospital did nothing to help my pet or find an answer and I was still charged $120 for simply sitting in the office. Would not recommend coming here if you want them to care more about your pet over making money.**to your reply**I was commenting on how she was looked at and not helped. Having to pay for a sick pet visit when nothing is resolved is wrong. I asked if I could go to the sister vet and I was told “only if you go right now they *might* be able” to fit my pet in between appointments. The doctor called and I explained I was disappointed in how this was handled and I was helped somewhere else for less and with care. I don’t appreciate you twisting this whole experience and I would want to know what kind of vet this is. I would never take my pet here. If you actually reviewed our charts you would have seen “he” is a she.

They made me feel like they truly cared. The front staff assistants and the doctor were all so awesome. My old lady of 14 years went so peacefully. It really put me at ease. I highly recommend them. Thanks from the bottom of my heart ❤️ Glad I chose you. Didn't get to thank doctor herself, but plan to when I pick up my Dogs ashes.

This secret gem is the best veterinary hospital in FiDi. Dr. L is a saint; excellent diagnostician for complex feline problems. If only I could get this level of humane, knowledgeable care for my own human healthcare needs, hah .

After waiting for 50 minutes for someone arrive, outside in the snow, I left. Incredibly unprofessional establishment. My appointment was at 10am, and at 10:50am no one has called or answered my 6 calls. No one showed up to work today. I understand it is snowing, but I should have received a call. While waiting in the snow outside the front door for nearly an hour, my dog injured his foot. Terrible service.

Seaport is too far out of the way to make my primary vet clinic, but my kitty was spayed here and she was well cared for and had a smooth recovery! The doctor sent her home with painkillers and thorough instructions + warning signs to look out for, and while she thankfully didn’t have any complications I would have felt confident bringing her back for a check in!

I visited Seaport Animal Hospital a few weeks ago as my dog had chipped his tooth. I met with Dr. Smith who I thought was thorough and great and we discussed the possibility of scheduling a tooth extraction and a general cleaning as a next step.Then during the appointment, after the consult with Dr. Smith, my dog went through a few blood tests, etc and we waited for about 20 minutes in the small appointment room without anyone ever stopping by to tell us whether we can go home or what's happening next. When I flagged someone down, he was surprised that we were still here and apologized that someone should have let us know immediately.Then comes the scheduling - I reached out to the staff immediately after the appointment asking for available dates for the procedure within the window of time the doctor had recommended. They said the scheduling isn't ready yet and that they'll reach out once it is. 3 weeks later - no follow up.Today I followed up asking for an update and available dates. Someone calls me telling me that they're ready to schedule his NEUTERING. I had to ask this staff member to please read through the details of his visit and chat with the doctor then reach out to me as this experience has been extremely frustrating.This is very disappointing as I liked Dr. Smith but at this point, I don't feel reassured about scheduling a procedure with anesthesia for my dog at a hospital that seems so disorganized.

At first I was put off by what I thought was a cold and unfriendly attitude, but then I realized that it must have been low level of trauma related to the covid situation and then when my cat got sick they showed me how much they really cared. They turned my frown upside down and I'm really happy with very very happy happy.

UPDATE: Dr. Lee is absolutely phenomenal. She reached out to me with genuine concern about my pet. I felt listened to and supported and she was able to prescribe medication for Moose to help him feel so much better. She was extremely empathetic and kind from top to bottom. She is the BEST!! Highly recommend her for your furry friends.If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They run up your bill with unnecessary issues, and never actually get to the bottom of why your dog is actually sick. I brought my dog in for diarrhea, and instead of addressing that issue, they thought he had an ear infection, they were wrong and I still had to pay for it. I had to remind the vet and the tech that I was there for diarrhea, not his ear, and all I walked away with is "we're not sure, but here's a probiotic and a $600 bill". It's now been 3 weeks, and my dog has yet to have a solid stool. During the appointment, they told me they were going to give him an injection for heartburn. They took him out of the room to do it, then brought him back in, and said his heart worm test went great! I'm sorry... what heartworm test??? I came in here for DIARRHEA. FIX THE MAIN ISSUE BEFORE SPIRALING THE APPOINTMENT INTO 100 OTHER THINGS. I do not trust them for one second which is not the relationship you should have when it comes to your pets. If you want your pet to actually get better, DO NOT COME HERE!

It was our first time at Seaport Animal Hospital and of course it was great. We followed Dr. Smith from WVVH because he is such a knowledgable vet along with being a great human being. As an added bonus, Stacy was at the desk. She is such a welcoming presence when you show up, worried about your pet.

Dr. Jang was very nice and helpful. My cat was not feeling well and she was able to give him an antibiotic that made him feel better. She was very gentle and nice to my cat, and I actually felt like she cared about how he was doing. She was not pushy about getting certain tests done and tried to do the more conservative treatment first, which probably saved me a lot of money in the end. The vet techs were also very kind and asked a lot of really good questions to try to understand my cat better. I will be making another appointment for his vaccines soon.

Every interaction is wonderful! Doctor, Receptionist, Billing, and Pet Intake person - all have a super positive & cheerful attitude, they are efficient, and they very patiently explain test results and treatments. Sometimes it’s so much information and I forget to take notes, so I wish the info would be included in a “notes from this visit” section of the receipt. History about my pets is carefully maintained by this office, and they work well with online pharmacies for ordering monthly parasite prevention medications. I’ve been forced to try vets closer to my home for emergencies, but I keep returning to Seaport Animal Hospital (quite a far distance for me) because I trust them and appreciate their thoughtful, professional care.

I love this place. The staff was professional and very informative. I appreciated the warm welcome for my baby and I. C-19 protocol for the appointment was in place and was followed to ensure our safety. I love the diversity of the staff. Beautiful women who are doing an excellent job in their career (sorry but I didn't see any fellas). I recommend this hidden gem to all you Paw Lovers!

Cannot say enough good things about Dr. El and Dr. Jang and all the staff at Seaport Animal Hospital. They were so careful and thorough with our previous dog, Kane, and spotted issues that went unseen amongst the numerous specialists we took him to over the two years we had him. When it was time for him to pass, the team was so kind and compassionate and we were so grateful that Dr. El was the one to see him off. They truly care about your pets and go out of their way to be helpful. I've seen some reviews here complain about the wait- and sometimes there is one- but it's only because they give each animal the time and love and care that they deserve, and because they go out of their way to answer any of your questions.

The nicest, most caring and honest staff and doctors. Thats so important. I have been to many in the past but the past 5 yrs my loyalty is to them. They go above and beyond, they truly care for their furry lil patients I can honestly say in the past 19yrs as pet owner…I would never trust the care of any other vet for my cats. I NEVER once had a bad experience and am pleased with every experience even in the toughest times. Thank you SAH!

Extremely poor service. My appointment time was 4:45 and was not seen by the vet until an hour later. Much more importantly, staff appeared to have zero training in handling animals. My cat is 2 and has been to the vet multiple times (including 2 times previously at Seaport Animal Hospital with different vets/nurses) with no issue. He has no aggression issues, has never so much as scratched me or anybody that's visited my home or any vet. On 9/23/2021 I took my cat in for an annual exam and a scratch on his head. He showed no aggression to the nurse though was shy and withdrawn, but the nurse refused to take his temperature and asked me to do it instead. When he returned with the vet (again, over an hour into my scheduled appointment time), he came armed with gloves and a blanket in order to subdue my cat. He was extremely aggressive and rough with him; instead of calming down my cat (as I've seen done multiple times by qualified professionals) he was adversarial and frightened my cat. The vet then refused to examine my cat because he was clearly scared and agitated. So we were there for over an hour with no actual diagnoses--even the cat's temperature was taken by me--and I was nevertheless charged the full fee for the examination (over $200). I will never return to Seaport Animal Hospital--I can't emphasize enough that the staff is not qualified and they are unable to perform basic veterinarian services and traumatized my pet--and if you care about your pet's health and safety (or even just your own time) you should never visit them either.

Dr Jang and team are absolutely fabulous - they clearly care and really take the time to ensure that your pets (Simba in my case!) are comfortable at all stages. Our visit was smooth & fast -- and everyone at Seaport Animal Hospital were extremely communicative and thoughtful. Best vet experience I've had in quite awhile!

A superb animal hospital!! From the receptionist to technicians and doctors, they are all very inviting and helpful both in-person and on the phone. The inside is overall very clean, and doesn't smell weird. Dr.Jang is kind and professional. Vivian is also amazing at dealing with a nervous/angry cat. She held my cat with a firm but gentle hands which I really appreciated. This will definitely be my cat's primary vet from now on.

What a great new vet hospital! I live nearby and have a Frenchie and 3 cats. We've brought most of our animals in for their check ups and are incredible happy with the friendly service and knowledgeable staff. Dr Lester's beside manner and caring nature helped me feel at ease, and I think my dog liked her too! A sweet girl at the reception area helped me book the appointment and greeted me with a smile. I didn't have to wait long to see the veterinarian and the check out process was quick and easy. I'm so glad these guys are so close now and look forward to future appointments here.

Great experience. Brought my dog in for a check-up and vaccine. They were friendly and responsive. I was able to make an appointment only two days before and the cost was lower than all other vets in the area. Only con was I had to wait outside for 15-20 mins before they would take the dog in because of covid regulations. My dog doesn’t really like people he doesn’t know and they were great with him.

This was my first experience visiting a vet in Manhattan so I had my concerns and I was nervous. But the staff immediately addressed everything and kept all my concerns in mind as the visit took place. Doctor "L" and her assistant actually made my dog feel better and perk up JUST BY THEIR BEDSIDE MANNER! My dog had been sick for 2 weeks but when he met the 2 of them it was like he knew they were there to make him feel better. Thank you Seaport Animal Hospital, you are no our go-to.
