After reading reviews I felt it was important to leave my own. I am in research and the research shows most people write bad reviews before they write good.. so I wanted to contribute the positive as it’s so important! -I’ve been taking my pup here for 2 years now and was scared to try somewhere new- Immediately when I walked in I was greeted so warmly and the facility is super clean and well kept it made me feel a bit more at ease. Once I had a few experiences I quickly realized this is a family and all the animals are treated like their personal pets and family. The love I have seen them give all the animals at random drop ins was so amazing and comforting to see. I truly can’t say enough positive things about Roosevelt pups. My dog is always really excited when I take him in, and I truly see how much love and attention they give to all the dogs and their employees!!

Sparky and I Love this place! I love that they have pick up, drop off and even overnights so I don’t have to worry if I’m working overnight or get called in for an emergency in the middle of the night!Highly recommend for all physicians taking overnight calls.Love each and every member of their team.Grooming is great too, they really make Sparky Sparkle! 😂❤️

I always have a fabulous experience with the staff here, not only are they extremely kind and knowledgeable, but my pup always come home looking his best. We love having a groomer we can depend on and who loves our pup as much as us!

Love this place. They people are so friendly, and I take my dog their at least twice a week. They are always on the ball and carefully watch the dogs. They even called me to let me know my dog was due a vaccine re-up in a month based on his tags, which I had completely forgotten. I have never had a bad experience after using them consistently for almost a year, and my dog is always very excited to go inside when we walk by. I highly recommend them.

My daughter has been taking my grand dog to the doggy daycare since she moved here three years ago, we love the place we love the people. We are so comfortable when we leave him 💕he has become so much more sociable. I would recommend this place for everyone.

If you are looking for the best place for doggie daycare and boarding for your pet babies, Roosevelt Pups is the place for you. My babies Jemz and Jean love it there. They get so excited as we walk through those doors. The staff are all wonderful. Its a very clean place. They also provide grooming which they do a great job. I highly recommend this place.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. And they did not treat my dog kindly. I think they take advantage of the fact that they are the only dog care business on RI. Stay away.They overcharged us and did not offer a refund. Instead, they denied overcharging, said it was our mistake, and then when they realized they had in fact overcharged us, they offered us a “free bath” instead of a refund. They refused to refund us the difference, so we took the free bath because it was better than nothing, but it was not really free, because we were charged almost $100 extra.More details:After our dog stayed with them while we were on vacation, we realized by looking at our CC statement that they charged us at the non-member rate after we explicitly became members before dropping her off ($10 cost difference per day). Then when we caught the overcharge a few weeks later, they blamed us for not catching it earlier. Keep in mind, they do not give any type of invoice or receipt. The only way I realized the discrepancy was by checking against the quote they’d given me during her dropoff.They also initially denied that they’d made us members before dropping her off, then they later realized that it was a different person we spoke to. They did not apologize for that, or refund us, and instead after many conversations they gave us a “free” bath.The whole time the issue was being dealt with, they were very rude, and I kept thinking, I don’t know why these people are in customer service. They do not seem to like dealing with customers, and it made me worried about how they might be treating my dog behind closed doors.If you need to find someone on RI, you will have better luck using Rover or really anywhere else.

So far I’m loving the way they take care of my precious Calvin, who’s very connected to me!Unfortunately, Calvin injured his rear leg last year while on a trip, so he’s insecure with new people and new places.However, I’ve found at Roosevelt Pups people who truly love animals and understand their needs, cause the way they organise their space is incredible!They seem to have groups of dogs with size and energy levels! Calvin is not yet fully adapted, but that’s due to his insecurities with new people… I get daily videos of him walking around the island (which he LOVES), interacting with other dogs and being spoiled by the sweet Melissa, one of the staff members!When I come in the morning to drop Calvin off, they’re always smiling greeting us, always willing to follow every step of our recommendations and specially keeping the place neat and cozy! There are photos of the dogs at the lobby of the place and I can’t wait to have Calvin’s photo there, cause he’s going to be there while we are living nearby! I was a bit insecure to leave Calvin at a new daycare, so I made so many recommendations and two misunderstandings happened, which were IMMEDIATELY addressed and corrected! They are 100% professionals and now I am so relieved to have found such place for my dog, who’s not just my best friend, he’s my son and he means my entirely world! 🐾Thank you Nema and everyone at Roosevelt Pups! ❤️🐾🐕‍

Took my small dog here for over a year for grooming because of the convenient location. I always asked for a puppy cut, nothing particular. The cut was always uneven, especially around the face/head. The last time I went the cut was so obviously uneven, about 1in difference from his head to his body, and the nails were not trimmed and when I asked why, I was told my 10lb dog was difficult and this is the reason. The groomer proceeded to tell me that I shouldn’t expect a perfect cut. That is an odd answer to give as an even hair cut is not a high expectation.

Our dogs are always so happy at day care and we get them groomed here and they always look wonderful at a reasonable price and flexible schedule. And they have a great dog treats and toys selection. Such a great addition to Roosevelt Island!

I’ve gone to Roosevelt Pups for a year now with my Dog Winston. Before that we lived in a few different areas, and have taken winston to 5 or 6 different dog day cares. Roosevelt Pups has been by far my favorite place to take Winston. The place is incredibly clean and is full of kind hearted people who love what they do.First of all, in terms of cleanliness I don’t know how, but when my dog comes back home after a day there he smells so clean and fresh, that’s how clean their floors are. They are wiping down the floors almost every 30 minutes and they’re constantly on top of it.In terms of the people & staff, you would think that everyone who works there is a volunteer or something. They all absolutely love what they do. There were a few times where I’m walking by Roosevelt Pups and I look through the glass, and see the employees just sitting on the ground playing with the dogs, having them do tricks and engage them. One time I even saw one of the employees laying down on the ground and just being smothered by dog kisses having the time of her life. This is the kind of people they are.Winston loved them so much he would get so excited when he sees them, and honestly they have become such a big part of the Roosevelt Island community. They are such a positive part of our lives that when we moved out I decided to take winston there one last time so we could say goodbye to them, that’s how much they meant to us.If you’re ever considering a place for your dog it doesn’t get better than them. Speaking as someone who has tried over 6 different dog day cares.

Stop leaving dogs to bark and cry nonstop for hours in the back during the day and overnight, especially if they are distressed or bored or have separation anxiety. You’re supposed to be watching the dogs and addressing their needs.
