Paws in Chelsea is one of the first founded boarding facilities in New York City. They board dogs & cats in separate areas, & are conveniently located underneath a cat veterinary facility called The Cat Practice. This gives them access to 24 hour veterinarian care as well which is always a plus! We highly applaud this high quality facility. The love/passion for what they do shows as they are always reliable, dependable & very personable.

We dropped off our little lovely Lucy! As we made clear, she will cry for us very loud for the first two or so days. As she did, and she was cared for! Other spots have told us “No.” the second we mention her separation anxiety. Paws in Chelsea was happy to take her, they sent tons of photos and emails! Being first time boarding dog parents we were nervous. They made it easy and helpful by sending so many emails and amazing photos. We picked her up in good shape too. She was is a very happy dog and I’m glad we found our new spot here!

My eskie and I have visited several doggy daycares. I live next to 3 in a 2 block radius from my apartment, but I still prefer walking 15 blocks to drop her off here. Great rates, better operating hours, clean and sanitary, diligence in shots reminders, but most importantly an amazingly competent amicable staff. Wish I could afford to tip them more. They deserve it.

I love boarding my cat here. Everyone is super sweet and you can tell they genuinely love animals. They take really good care of him. My cat really enjoys and loves his time here. Here's one of the pictures they sent us. Highly recommend them.

Paws in Chelsea is the best for daycare and boarding. The staff is incredible and really care about the dogs there - they always check in with me to give updates/sending pictures. I feel comfortable bringing my dog there knowing they are taking great care of him. Very responsive via email/phone for any questions. And my dog loves it there - tries running down the block every morning and scratching at the door to get in. Absolutely 10/10 service and experience for me and could not recommend enough.

This review is for the daycare: Great value! The staff are very kind and responsive and make an effort to get to know the dogs. Being able to bring my puppy here when she was small was a huge help. The space is pretty no frills which I think is fine from the dog perspective but I do wish they had cameras to watch the dogs play. As she’s gotten older my dog seems to prefer staying at home with dog walker visits, but I am very happy to have Paws as a backup option.

Our pup loves her paws daycare sessions. She has separation anxiety and we have dropped her off a Paws multiple times. The staff are very responsive if you need to check in or have general questions. There is no live stream that you can watch while your dog is in daycare or boarding, but I am confident that our pup is well taken care of while there. They also send pictures of our pup and her daycare friends. One time, she tried to escape and hurt her dew claw. The staff called to tell us what happened, told us what steps they took to address the injury, and asked if we wanted them to take her to the vet. I like the staff’s transparency, responsiveness, and general love they have for the dogs.

Paws in Chelsea is the absolute best place in the area to leave your dog or cat for the day or overnight or on vacation. The facility is spotless with a very wonderful kind caring staff that all take a special interest in every pet entrusted to their care My dogs love it at Paws and I feel very safe and secure leaving them at Paws including when "I am away on business or vacation. Also I regularly check their pricing against other doggy day care in the area and they offer the best pricing while at the same time providing the best service. It is a winning combination for me and my dogs.

I'm so grateful for Paws in Chelsea. My dog loves staying there when we go on trips. The team is so caring and attentive. I never stress or worry about my Frenchie because I know he's in great hands :)

We visited New York City and needed a place to put our dog in daycare for a day. Paws in Chelsea did not disappoint! The members we worked with was all so kind, friendly, and professional. They also offered to send us email updates of our little Cavapoo which helped keep our minds at peace while we were trying to enjoy ourselves in NYC. More to add, we eventually found out that they kept our Cavapoo with them the whole day up front behind the receptionist desk! This was great since our dog is shy around other dogs and easily intimidated. We did ask for a private room but it’s even better that our dog was able to get some human attention. We walked in and our dog was sleeping safe and sound on the reception’s chair. I can tell he was loved and cared for. I will recommend all my friends to come here for any daycare or boarding needs. I myself, will always pick Paws in Chelsea whenever I’m back in NYC and need any sort of daycare or boarding for my dog. Many thanks!!

This weekend was the first time ever boarding my baby Mimi and I was so nervous about being away from her for so long but the staff at Paws was beyond amazing. Mimi had an amazing time, made lots of friends, and was well taken care of. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for their generosity and kindness. They truly care about your child like their own. If you're going to board your dog anywhere, make sure its here. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

We were visiting NYC for all of July from California and used Paws in Chelsea for daycare for our 1 year old Jack Russel. He stayed there several times during our 4 week stay and absolutely loved it. Every time we'd walk down 24th street and get near Paws on Chelsea he'd make a beeline for the front door. Everyone was so nice and cheerful! And we used the grooming service on the last day he was there and he looked (and smelled) wonderful! Amazing place! Thanks to all the employees of Paws in Chelsea!

Whoever trained the staff at Paws in Chelsea did an excellent job. They look you in the eye, respond to you if you have a question, are courteous, caring and very professional. All these qualities are important to me when handing off my three dogs. If they are kind, respectful and attentive to you, that is a reflextion of how they treat the animals in their care. (I will no longer place my dogs in the other neighborhood dog spa-they ignore you until they are good and ready to answer a simple question. Very rude. It's almost as if you don't exist. Not nice and not good business). My dogs pull me towards the door of Paws in Chelsea- very excited to get there and very happy at pickup. The staff follows feeding regime is very organized. Thank you Paws in Chelsea for being a great business and a class act!

This place is great. There are cleaner or larger places, but everyone here really seems to love animals, and it really shows. Our puppy has a blast, and comes home tired, both of which are welcome. And occasionally, we get some really delightful photos of him romping around with his friends.

Paws Chelsea is amazing, period. I never write google reviews, but felt inclined to do so because I know how stressful it can be leaving your pet with people you don't know. My experience at Paws has been nothing but perfect. The staff knows and cares for each pet like its their own.Stanley has been going there for a few months now, and she loves it. She is very timid on the street, but as soon as we get to 24th, she gets super excited and rushes towards the door, begging to go in.Every time we go in, Stanley is greeted by name and with a big hug from whoever is there. She jumps on the playpen door to try and get in to see her friends, tail wagging the whole time.Beyond our dog loving her time there, it is the staff that is truly the best part. They not only care for our girl, but they are very flexible with our schedule, and are extremely accommodating. We trust them completely with Stanley.

My girls Matilda and Trixie have been going to Paws since I adopted them (4 and 2+ years, respectively). They love being there just as much as they love being at home (ok they probably love being there more!)!The staff is attentive to the needs of their little four-legged guests and stay on top of everything. I trust the folks at Paws in Chelsea completely with the care and well-being of my girls and I highly recommend this facility for daycare and overnight boarding.

They charged us a full day even though our dogs stayed with them less than 5h which qualifies as half day. We emailed them and kindly asked for an explanation. Instead of a reply they simply kept ignoring us and went radio silent on us despite 4 follow ups via email. Overcharging is one thing but on top of that just ignoring the customer’s emails and ask for an explanation is just simply rude and the worst customer service. Never again - this place is a ripoff!

We've been taking our dog to Paws in Chelsea for more than 10 years, usually 3x a week. Staff has always been warm and welcoming and they take superb care of the pets and it's great to have a place that he can stay over anytime as well. We've also used their grooming services and even their pet-drop off service occasionally.

I would have to say that I am so glad I chose to take my dog to board at this location. This pet hotel was very patient with me being a first time boarding there feeling nervous about my baby girl, answering all my calls and any questions I had. The videos sent to me to see how my girl was doing was also a great way to know my dog was safe. The service was great and the staff was very patient and caring. Will definitely bring my dog back when I need a place to board my girl.

We left our dog in day care for two days while we were in NYC for a graduation. The staff at Paws in Chelsea were friendly and helpful. They take an interest in and get to know the dogs they care for. The facility was clean and orderly, with closed circuit monitoring. We would leave our dog with Paws in Chelsea again when we visit again.

My pup has been coming to Paws in Chelsea for the past month and he loves it. How can I tell? When we walk over, he stops right in front of the door and when he sees the staff his butt shakes at super speed. When we get home, he goes straight to his crate and he's completely out. Yeah, he's a bit stinky, but that just means that he's playing with other dogs, which is pretty awesome. Everyone in the staff is extremely nice and they genuinely like him. Diva is super passionate about her business and even went the extra mile to find out his history through the ACC in Harlem. Psy (our pup) was abandoned twice and walking the green mile. I am forever grateful for the little bit of extra information about him. We've been to other doggy daycare places, and we are absolutely happy with Paws in Chelsea. Definitely give them a try.

I know I'm lucky in that my dog is pretty easy going when it comes to boarding, but I also have to calm my nerves. I loved the location, and was only slightly annoyed going in when I realized I was getting dinged a surcharge per day for it being on a holiday weekend. The staff was super attentive when I came in and my dog was put at ease. Unlike the last place I'd boarded her, I couldn't watch her on a camera, but I liked that they did not keep them in kennels overnight. I don't live close by anymore, but may still bring my girl here because I really like them - and that's worth a trip over.

Great place , they treat the pets like their own, it's amazing such a reliable place like this exists in NYC. Every time I go on vacation or just need some quiet time I bring my dogs here and they are reasonably priced and well known. They truly are a great find. Thanks Paws in Chelsea your amazing.

My dogs was hosted in this per hotel. The place is not like the pictures shown in the website. No walks, dogs together fighting each other... There are better places in New York half prized. When I picked up my dog, he had two spots in his chicks because another dog attacked mine. And of course a bill for the veterinary. The dog still in pain and they have no responsibility about it.

I just had my very old cat groomed. The groomer did a wonderful job and my old cat looks like a kitten again. The groomer was gentle and thorough. No anesthesia used. The price was very reasonable. The groomer works on Sundays (and Wednesdays) so it is very convenient.

We were not impressed with the conditions where the dogs were staying. They were in essentially a concrete pen of about 10x10. They're moved from one pen to another a few times a day in order to have the old pen cleaned and that's their life while they're there. No room to run no room to play. If I hadn't inquired about how they get exercise or where they go to the bathroom I would not have been told how the boarding process works. A walk is extra and I had to inquire about it to learn about that.

Paws in Chelsea without a pose.PiC is not just the best Doggy Daycare and Pet Hotel in New York City, it is my pet's second family and home.Quincy Jones goes to PiC 5 times a week for the past 10 months. During this period, he has been boarded for 12 days straight, including weekends and overnights. I’ve always found him happy, clean, and healthy. Their fees are very reasonable and one cannot be happier knowing that their loved one is in the best of care with a personal touch. The amazing team knows all the pets personally and keeps the facility immaculately clean and fresh. The owner is not your everyday businessmen and pet lover, he truly cares about the animals he takes in. His compassion and thrive for excellence comes across the staff he hires and customer relationship. My boy is 19 months old who comes home everyday content and happily exhausted . He loves going there, pulls from 24th street into the door to be greeted by loving people, hang and play all day with his beautiful pack and I couldn't be happier.PiC changed our lives! Both Quincy and myself are calm and collected.

Our dog Kingsley has been going there for almost 7 years now, and the entire shop has become a literal second family to him and us. He loves coming there and you can tell the entire staff loves every one that comes in too. Everyone there is amazing and we can't believe how lucky we are to have them in the neighborhood.
