I highly recommend this family owned biz, especially for new pet owners. On our first visit they quickly diagnosed that Luna was allergic to chicken, which was the main ingredient in food we were feeding her! They also dispelled the contradictory info I was finding online about grain free food that other stores didn’t have a clear answer to. They helped us find the perfect teething chew and a bpa safe toy that’s just her size - she loves it. The staff is the most knowledge (out of 4 stores I shopped) when researching types of foods & prices are competitive to Amazon. They also deliver, but it’s more fun to visit. Thank you for helping us and for the treats you give Luna when we visit! 💕🐾🐶

Love this store. Came in today looking for a very specific cat food brand and Jillian ( I think that is her name) was super sweet and helpful. Love walking into a store with knowledge and friendly staff. Thank you Jillian for going above and beyond and checking the inventory for me. Every time I have not been able to get a specific brand she has helped me by ordering it or letting me know when the inventory comes in. Store is also super clean and their cat Jumpy is the cutest!

Although the shop is fairly small, that doesn't stop the staff from packing it with everything you pet needs to thrive. Been buying my dog's food here for a while now and each employee treats me with respect. Definitely recommend this spot to local pet owners!

Love this store. Love it because it is not owned by a big business. The shelves were chock full of treats and food-PLUS- the highly coveted Stella& Chewy's Chicken treats that our dog, Moe Greene, loves. And it's at the correct price. They also stock really charming dog clothing, those legging things and many toys. I also noticed tons of products for cats. We also liked the service-which goes a long way. Please try and visit if you are a dog or cat or both owner-your little creature will be very happy.

My dog Reza is THE Maniacal Monster of the Upper West Side. We stop into Little Creatures every day because Reza literally pulls me into this store because he loves Jill and the rest of the crew so much. They have all witnessed my dogs growth and development. This store is where we buy treats, Chuckit! & Kong toys, Raw Food, brushes, toothpaste, shampoo and emergency poop bags on the regular. The store cat is also pretty cool. At other pet stores you're just another number/customer - but here you're family. Great quality products and prices. Support your local business! Little Creatures is my favorite pet shop in the neighborhood, my dog loves stopping in for a treat pretty much daily. The staff is really sweet, especially Jill, who always goes out of her way to be helpful. Impressive selection of food and snacks too, they will often new products open so your pet can sample treats, so you can see if they like them before you purchase.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I always brought my dogs in here and the staff remembered them as well as me. They always have treats and are happy to chat about their products. When my dog was sick, they recommended what could help from their experience. Had a good amount of sales and they'll always let you know about them. Also - they'll deliver bags of dog food it it's too much for you to carry! They're really great

This is a great little store, the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because, depending on the employee, it is a great experience or a horrible one. There’s one girl who’s always EXTREMELY friendly and super helpful( unfortunately, I don’t know their names), but there’s another one who always seems REALLY bothered when asked any question and never helps at all. Last time I went, a few weeks ago, I asked if by any chance she knew if the cat litter I was holding was the one that was great at hiding the smell, I kind of just needed reassurance as I was changing litters, and she replied (very annoyed ) that “they’re all the same”. No! They’re not. And it would be good for an pet store employee to know that. I keep going there because I do like to support small businesses and I don’t think the owner should suffer because of something he/she might not even know about.

I’m a long time customer of little creatures. First as a dog owner and now as a cat owner. Jillian is so freaking helpful. I live in the area and she never fails to assist with my crazy pets’ needs, as well as provide general animal care advice and knowledge. How would you feel as you enter the store the employee ask to help and respond back as your question if have a different size acts like you just insulted her? What about when while processing your transaction she interacts with another customer and keep rolling her eyes? Yeah that’s my first and last time been there. I work in retail as well and I probably would receive a warning if I treated my clients just the same way she did to me. Why spend my money on somewhere they don’t value your business???

The girl behind the counter is as disrespectful as they come a delivery man came in and asked for a little help from what I could see not a light delivery and she replies no I am a girl . What does that even mean ? She rolls her eyes at people and is just rude ! wont be spending my money in this place . You work in a pet store you do the job required .

I love this place - they always have the things I need for my little loved ones. Their staff is helpful, friendly, and familiar. Every time I walk my dogs by this place, they always try to rush in because they love having a place in the neighborhood that is just for them. I’m always so happy to skip Amazon and support this little neighborhood business for my pets’ needs.

This is the best pet supply store on the UWS. There are two locations (85th and Amsterdam as well as 88th and Columbus) and both locations provide incredible customer service. They have a great variety of products and I can always find what I need. There is just nothing like a local, small business. Whenever I come in, they ask about my dogs and are so friendly. Don't go anywhere else!

We were looking for a no pull harness. As first time users we asked the woman in the store for assistance and she made it seem as we were a bother to her from the moment we stepped inside. She just stood there staring quietly after I asked for assistance before responding that we could try it on him. Zero customer service. We ended up walking out. To the owner, this occurred on August 29, 2021 at approximately 5:35pm. I hope this is not your standard and definition of customer care. Will be taking our business elsewhere. 👎

Walked in, no “hello, how are you?”, no “can I help you find anything?”. Put my items on the counter, no “did you find everything okay?”. Paid for my items, no “thank you for shopping with us”.Incredibly bizarre experience. Won’t bother spending my money here again. This is why NYC smaller businesses are dying. You get better treatment at the chain stores.

I was having such a hard time trying to fit my dog for a harness , Becuase he has a rather big chest the girl behind the counter Jillian was so friendly and accommodating , it was a breathe of fresh air to leave knowing that my pup was safe and secure in his new harness , she was so wonderful to deal with
