Don't waste your time shopping at this place. The staff is rude, especially the cashiers. One in particular, I believe her name is Rosaura, is one of the nastiest retail workers I ever met. They don't greet you or speak to you, and asking them to do something as simple as telling you your total seems to be too much to ask.Not only is the customer service sub par but the place is unsanitary. The meat department has a stench that radiates all the way to the dairy section. Their limited selection is ridiculously over priced and the fresh produce is a joke. Take your money elsewhere.

Key Food on Lenox Ave is a hyper localSupermarket. I’ve lived in the neighborhood most of my life and I’ve watched how this supermarket mark up the prices, sell old to nearly expired food , and surveilled community members who are black and brown. I’ve never been accused of stealing until today (mind you I go there often and have never stolen anything!) I’ve met my limit. I wouldn’t recommend this store. If you must shop there never buy the avocados they are alway brown every last one!!!

produce is old and limp. not just one thing but all is like that. Full price for what won’t even do for the soup. There is a nice key foods 2 blocks over on Fredrick Douglass that is much better. We don’t need fancy just don’t try and sell rotten food.

This Key Food store has a pretty good selection of fruits and veggies. I was happy about that during the pandemic, and it's still the case now. My only complaints about this store are that the cashiers are often rude if you have a question, are very arbitrary about packing your groceries if you're not buying a Key Food shopping bag, and the discount fob didn't seem to earn any points or discounts until just a few months ago. At Foodtown, I always earn points on my purchases, which I use to get discounts on my weekly grocery shopping. It is also odd that this Key Food store is in the heart of Harlem, but there isn't a single African American employee anywhere...

This is a predominantly African American neighborhood but key foods. They have an r catering to the Hispanic community which is nice. But now everything in there is Hispanic Gloria products. There are no black products that I can buy. I can't buy pinto beans or something lessons brand. I don't want their brand so we have no choice and for some reason it's being loud and it's right next door to the historical Savoy Park apartments. You want some grits? You got to go somewhere else. However the store is very clean. Customer service is getting better

Food prices are often inaccurately marked or not marked at all. Cashiers are completely incompetent and require more training - they are slow, leave their posts without authorization, and have no sense of customer service. If there was a closer grocery store, I would shop there in a heartbeat.Edited several years later to add how a photo of how the store treats the neighborhood - constant trash and waste left outside even though they have dumpsters on site. The disrespect for the community is unreal.

There water is one 24 pack for 7.99 + tax and 5 cents bottle deposit. This price is crazy high. The whole story is high. Deli turkey is $13.99 per pound. I stopped buying it months ago.Keyfood is very HIGH. Sale items are the only thing I look for. Their meat is sky high and the bread gets moldy real fast. I buy my bread at Aldi's or Foodtown. Theirs is much fresher.

This store is over price and it sell a lot of rotten vegetable and meat. Also they hire Dominicans that are undocumented who tend to be rude to costumers. The employees will even curse when you complain about them. Poor customer service

I don't like supporting billionaires but go to whole foods. 12$ for strawberries! While it's 4$ @ whole foods eggs are almost 6$ at whole foods it's 3.39 for *organic* eggs absolutely not going back

All the essentials and well organized. The cashiers and staff are super friendly and this place has all the basics you would expect. The deli and greens area are both well stocked. There is also a plant shop outside.

Can be a little slow at checkout but given how little space there is it’s not surprising. I think they have good produce and meat options, good prices.

I'd like this place a lot more if it didn't make me play a perilous game of soda-can Jenka everytime I wanted coke zero... I'm mean seriously??

Expensive supermarket but the delivery service is cool. I only don't like having to buy $100 worth of food before you can get this service. They have online service and you have to check your bags at the door while entering this establishment.

Limited selection. Expensive produce that isn't that fresh. Most of the cashiers won't speak 2 words to you. Updated to 1 star.. hate this store so bad I just refuse to go anymore no matter how desperate

Customer service is horrible. Workers have no manners. I will NOT spend any of my money in this Supermarket located at 592 Lenox Ave.

It's very expensive and the hospitality is very biased. I wish there were other cheaper supermarkets nearby like stop and shop or at least; that they would lower their prices..it's ridiculous there's almost no deals for the regular necessary items. You smile at the workers and they rarely smile back, the workers judge you by what you wear, how you look, they way you speak and they're a Spanish owned company so they have their cultural traditions and their own wayward attitudes. Unless you speak Spanish or are in understanding with their cultural standards; I do not recommend that you go here. For many times I've come and spoken to them both in English and Spanish in the middle of their conversations and their fiddle faddle, seeking help with finding an item; and they just look at me like I'm cross-eyed, as if I've disturbed them, and then only to watch them call for someone else whom doesn't even really speak better English then they do..We need a non biased and English speaking stop and shop; sort of super market in lower harlem. Please and thank you.

Stock goes in and out inconsistently. The staff are there to answer any questions you may have. Prices are fair for the area as a local grocery chain.

Very nice and clean store. Reason giving only 3 stars is unless buying sale items, the prices are through the roof. Prices are nearly double than Trader Joe's and even Whole Foods for basic items. It's pretty sad when you're more expensive than even Whole Foods for produce and other basic items. It's a nice store for quick stop but not for big shopping unless you have a fat wallet.

They make you pay for the bags at checkout!!!What if a person has just enough money for food and has maybe 4 bags of groceries and they charge 75 cents to $1 per bag, and it's your first time ever going into this store. They ring up your groceries and push them down for you to bag, then ring up the customer behind you before you even get finished!Like they have no concern that you are not privy to byob at their location.I can't shop here.

95% of the employees areer Hispanic and or Dominican and not English well or at all. Not to mention says thank you. Manners and courtesy are lost on those people and they barely want to give you your money back when returning anything. I vowed to never to set foot in there again.

They are selling meat that is turning bad.I bought minced meat 2x it was red on the outside and dark brown on the inside. The minced pre cut onions were gaseous and slimmy. The Dept of health needs to a surprise inspection.
