Always a great experience here. The owners/employees are very understating and flexible always. They have a very good amount and diverse selection of pet supplies for your everyday needs. Also, very good at grooming. They also treat our dogs very well by giving them treats throughout the grooming session and when we just visit with our dogs. Has a very nice cat, Simon - That really brings the store together to feel more homey. They are always a call away and will make sure they can handle whatever you may request to the best of there ability.

My dog was groomed at Greenland for the first time today and they did an excellent job! She looks so much better than when she walked in and it took less than 2 hours. I had to drag her out of the store! Would definitely recommend for both grooming and pet supplies.

Good store for supplies only. Not grooming. My sister left a bad review previously that’s why I’ll put 3 stars instead of 0. I attached some pictures here for reference as how our dog was yesterday before the cut. You can see that he had knots but not to the point that they need to cut it THAT SHORT. $200 for this cut.

Forget the vet for now, this is best place ever in NYC for getting everything you need - healthy food and supplements, patient grooming, accessories, suggestions for good care to keep your cats and dogs out and about in NYC. If your kitty or puppy is really sick, the owners will say so, not just take your money. Go there. C.

A nice place to buy pet supplies, but a bad place for grooming. The staff is very nice but apparently not skilled at grooming at all. I show the staff the first pic where the puppy has a very round face, and he gave my puppy this look. (Please refer to the pic of my funny puppy) His face is a pentagon not a circle, and that cleft chin is killing me.

I love this local store. It is family run & they are the nicest people. They have everything at reasonable prices as well as free delivery! They also do grooming. Support a local business rather than Amazon & get your pet supplies at Greenland! They also have the best tuxedo bodega cat, Simon, FYI.

Horrible place for grooming. My dog had some tangled hair but nothing crazy, that’s why we told them to lower his hair about two inches. However, when we went back the dog was totally shaved!!! Now my golden doddle looks like a puddle! They charged us 200 dollars for something I could have done at home!

Been going there since 2011 when I first moved to NYC. The people that work there are the sweetest, always helping with whatever I need for my pup. They do delivery so when I run out of food, I give them a call and they deliver immediately. I prefer to go in person though because my pup gets a treat every time we go and they always greet her with a smile. Recommend this dog store more than all the other ones around this area.. They have great variety and service!

Experience with Nora was simply awful today. She quoted me 120$ for grooming a yorkie and when I came to pick him up the price jumped to 180$ for all the add ons I haven’t agreed to. She even threatened to call the police and started making up things like your dog was matted and I need to charge more etc not once in 12 years anyone called my dog matted. It’s a yorkie with straight short hair. Very unfortunate way for a small business to treat the clients and lose local customers. Simply disclose the price and don’t try to up charge, some people simply can’t afford 180$ for grooming and that’s the reason they call and ask for the quote.Amount of exclamation marks on you reply below highlights exactly how Nora was speaking with me today. Yes, total was 150$ after she was going back and forth and negotiating what she charges for and what now. At the end she refused to show the price list of services whatsoever. I didn’t raise my voice once and stayed respectful. Hope you treat others differently in the future. Thank you for your response.

I have been purchasing dog food which Greenland suggested to address my dog’s needs. She was having serious stomach issues and sometimes blood in her stool and also had a to have a weight control senior formula. . Nora called me the next day to see how my dog was doing! That spoke volumes to me as to who they are as people! I had spent thousands of dollars going to the vet and sometimes she had to be hospitalized. She has lost weight as needed and her stomach issues are under control thanks to Nora and Hanny the owners of Greenland! Husband and wife with children and make you feel like you and your animal are part of their family! They really care!I had my dog groomed there for the first time today! Did such a fabulous job! Took extra time not only treating my dog with care but making sureEvery detail of her body was cut with precision! She was not caged. My dog has high anxiety and her first time there. They continued to calm her from the moment she went in the sink for her bath! From head to tail incredibly executed all the while assuring my dog that she is ok and My dog hates vacuum cleaners and blow dyers! She was blown in 1/2 the time because of the high tech dryer they used which I had never seen before! Amazing!From start to finish an excellent experience. I highly recommend them! Reasonably priced. I am calling American Express to let them know what a fabulous vendor they are! C Blau

All around great shop with everything one could need for their pet. I haven’t seen anyone comment on the grooming services and I’d like to point out that it’s worth every penny to take your cat here. Nails, bath, hair trimming - all worth it. Done with excellent care and detail.

Just left Greenland Pet Shop to pickup some dog food for our cocker spaniel. After Furry Paws closed we have been looking for a new go-to spot, and we have found it!!! I had been a few times before and each time the service was very friendly and professional. I just met Samuel who could not have been nicer. It is comforting to know there there are still "mom and pop" stores in the neighborhood. We will be back!!

This place is amazing! My dog has been sick and on a special diet and one call to Greenland and a case of the Royal Canin special diet was delivered to my apartment. I have just reordered! Wonderful service, good price and free delivery!

Very friendly staff. They greet me by name when I call. Their service is wonderful. They will deliver promptly at a convenient time on your schedule. They have always had anything I've wanted, and on a rare occasion they will order it and tell me when they would have it. Their prices are fully competitive, and with such great service they are a bargain. Once I found them a few years ago I have never been tempted to try another service. Definitely give them a try.

1) they are the best suppliers around the neighborhood, very polite staff members2) I bought a sox for my dog but I gt the wrong size and when I came back they changed a new one although it was used one time on my dog, this proves that they value their customer3) They also have almost everything a dog owner need in their shop! It might look small but they have all the essentials for very reasonable price4) I very highly recommend this place

I have moved out of the area and so very much miss this pet shop! The staff was always friendly, courteous and really enjoyed the dogs that came in. Since relocating out of state, I cannot find the great squeaky dog toys with lots of "squeakers" and no fiberfill filling. We miss the Greenland Pet Shop!

Wonderful to their neighbors. I went in to get styptic powder and they were sold out. The man who worked there gave me some of his personal powder so that I can stop the bleeding on my dogs nail. THANK YOU!
