It feels like the stuff doesn’t want to work there, specially in the pharmacy. They aren’t respecting people time .I was picking up somthing for a sick friend and they told me it’ll take 15 min I left for 15 min and then they closed for lunch break. I came back again after 30 min and then they told me they haven’t started yet so it’ll take 15 min.I’ll find out what’s her name and complain to Duane reade.

Great local Duane Reade. It has a variety of items and great selection. The staff here are very helpful and kind. The location is convenient to the tram, subway and the ferry. The pharmacist is quite helpful and kind and they make sure to go over anything before you leave. Also, they are especially prompt with filing or refilling anything. Plus, if you have to wait, there is a lovely park right outside and a couple of different restaurants or the riverwalk to just hang out at for those minutes.

I usually don't write reviews for pharmacies. But this is the best pharmacy I have used! Two pharmacist here (Valerie and Kevin) are very professional and friendly. They can remember your medical conditions. They pick up phone calls and answer all your questions. They explain clearly about how to use the meds and explain the possible side effects. During evening shift, they also have two staffs here to make the line move faster. I highly recommend this pharmacy to anyone on Roosevelt Island.

Today I was treated very badly by the pharmacist. I was refused my prescribed meds! She insisted on that there was no prescription even though I could prove her otherwise. According to my PCP, they received a written confirmation by Duane Reade that they got my prescription the previous day. My PCP's office called again and they were told that everything is ready for me. Meanwhile, in the Walgreen's website it says "prescription not approved" ... thanks for that!And that was not the first time that something like that happened. Previously, I received a txt that my meds were ready for pickup and when I arrived, I was told that it wasn't even approved!

Service is usually pretty slow and not customer friendly at all. However, I’ve never had an issue with my prescriptions here.
