Amazing how workers at Duane Reade let people steal, they literally come into the store and grab whatever they want then just walk away. In the meantime Duane Reade jacks up the prices for the rest of the customers to pay for their losses . Shame on you Duane Reade for letting people steal and then the honest customer has to pay for the people who are stealing in your pharmacies. I’ll try my best to not use your pharmacies any more.

Do not get your flu vaccine or any vaccinations here. The pharmacy manager has the worst technique and literally does a sling shot motion and jabs it directly into your arm.

I'm so angry I don't know where to begin. It's been a few days since I had the displeasure of visiting this pharmacy. I've decided it's not worth the fight and I would rather just go without my anti-depressants. Every 30 days it's a new problem as to why they can't fill a 30 day prescription for Zoloft. They can keep my medications. I'll be less depressed knowing I never have to walk through the doors of 200 Water St ever again.

Went to return items I bought and the lady returning it was giving me attitude about how she hates people, never had to return many items (people make mistakes with their orders sometimes ok) and wants to call off and how she was over it as well as speaking to me in a condescending tone when I ask to confirm return to original form of payment. Terrible customer service at this Walgreen location. Also they are constantly lacking people so if you need to find people to get the items locked, it takes forever. You would have think with such a large area, there be more people but no. I’ve been to other smaller Walgreens and was always easily able to get staffs to help me. I’ve been here multiple times before and never had a experience like this.

I made an appointment the night before for a vaccine shot after filling out its online form. I waited for 20 min after the technician trainee struggled to process it, as she went back and forth with the more senior technician... then the senior technician came punched some keys, walked away... Finally the technician trainer came back and said they couldn't do it. The pharmacist (Cindy Lee) stood 10 feet behind counter the entire time when the trainee and the technician struggled, and pretended didn't know that's going or heard the conversation when the technician tried to explain why as I pressed for the reason. I asked the technician if I could ask the pharmacist directly, and she still pretended nothing was happening and rushed to get on the phone to avoid. I could literally see you and hear you just right there. Then the older technician came back and yelled. It's infuriating for the most unprofessional and condescending pharmacist and technician I have seen. It's literally your job to explain to people, especially for the pharmacist.

The pharmacy has terrible customer service. Do not recommend for people with chronic illnesses who rely on timely refills. They constantly mess up the time of refills and act bothered when they have to correct their mistakes. They don’t even apologize for their shortcomings and they add unnecessary stress to already sick patients. No empathy or consideration here. Will be changing pharmacy.

Aside from almost every corner of this location being locked up, the pharmacy techs are the most incompetent batch I've ever experienced at any Duane Reade location.A very important prescription that a doctor had put in on a Friday afternoon wasn't even ready (Sunday, 5/7 afternoon). If these folks would have scurried a bit, this issue could have been combated BEFORE I found out my insurance magically expired (although I picked up 2 scripts a few days prior with 0 issue) and perhaps I could have been given a courtesy call so we could get ahead of it.. no. None of that happened.No consolation was offered, and even after I asked how myself and my mother were able to pick up my inhalers that past Friday and Thursday (my insurance supposedly expired in April) no explanation was offered either.. So.. someone is not doing their job. Because of this, I will be happily moving my scripts to either another Duane Reade or entirely new pharmacy altogether.I've worked Customer Service for 10 years and this is an absolute disgrace and embarrassment. Do not send your medicine here if you can help it.

Average experience with chain drug-stores. Big lines that move slowly, and this location doesn’t offer self-checkout. Long wait times when you have to buzz for an item to be unlocked by an employee. I’ve tried calming the pharmacy during operating hours several times, all on hold for 20 minutes, and one time, they picked up finally, but they immediately hung up. 😡 overall, the cashiers are pleasant, but the time spent in store is not great.

The pharmacy cannot be relied on from humans to automation better go to other location.If I can give 0 stars I will. Miss our old pharmacy that is more organize my mistake is choosing this place for our medication you cannot rely on them they are letting you running around and always offer to pay your rx in cash for their excuse is that if you need it now your insurance did not approve it but actually they have given an over ride ..I think the place should be investigated.I am not going to pay for my medicines that is zero pay with my insurance.God forbid if you need it for you rely on it you will be dead by now.

I work with uber eats shopping,I'm not a shoplifter, most of the time when I go to the store, they just follow me around like I'm going to still something, they make uncomfortable, I work hard and make more than enough and help my family aslo,and that not the way I grow up and my religion!! especially one light skin female staff, if I'm not mistaken she is a ,superviso ? Or shift leader"who works afternoo 5 pm and also big tall staff maybe his a security, that's not the way professional security person works, he just making uncomfortable by following people, please "don't judge the book by its cover" atlest tray to be professional!!

I live nearby this location and come often to pick up random household items- my experience has always been just fine, quick and easy, as expected at most Duane Reade stores. Today I was helped by Carol, who was an absolute DELIGHT. She offered help if I needed anything unlocked, which I did, and from there we talked about some of the products I was purchasing. She’s very knowledgeable about beauty/skincare which was the extent of our conversation. It was the level of service you’d expect at a luxury dept store but without the pushy sales agenda. You can tell she cares and just knows her stuff. I dont normally post reviews like this but it was that great an encounter I thought the world (aka greater manhattan area) should know. Carol is a gem.

Duane Reed has two very big problems at this location:1) They have two wonderful employees, a young lady and a man behind the register named Eric H, then there is the horrific management they have to be subservient too: Alejandro R. Whom does not understand what it means to work for a living because he makes everyone else do his work! Not only that, in my personal experience, he was a rude, nasty, condescending liar becoming physically violent at one point.2) I witnessed a band of three criminals come into the store with large duffle bags and backpacks, who then proceeded to loot the store like LA after Rodney King. When the criminals came into the store, both Eric H and the young lady promptly jumped into action, calling the police, making sure I was safe and yelling at the crooks, while Alejandro R. hid in the back isle doing nothing. It would not surprise me one bit if Alejandro R. was in on the action as the criminals seemed to know exactly when and where to hit the store, it almost had to be an "inside job" while Alejandro R. hid far out of site.

Unfortunately i have to update my review, because today around 12pm I went to for shopping, but some of the staff just following me like I'm shoplifter, please stop judging people there color or they don't dress well and treat everyone same way!!always Humanity first!!can say most of duane ready location staff around financial district are not friendly especially if you are a delivery person, but this location, I can say most of the staff friendly helping and treating everyone same way especially white Male staff who works on Saturday morning he is really good person and professional, I think other location need to learn costumer service and manner from this location!especially 95 wall street after 5 pm staff members!!

Worst photo service ever in the world. Please don't go to this location for any of your passport photo needs as my son went there today to get his picture taken and they printed the passport pictures with discolored lips face and when asked for another print they refused. The customer service was very unprofessional, rude and the worst experience ever in NY city..... What a waste of our moneyPlease save your money and go elsewhere. Seriously, they know who this is and I can upload the pictures if needed.....If they can't take and print proper passport size pictures, they should not be in the business and serve in another country where it may be acceptable.

I work for a well know Doctors office. We send many patients to this pharmacy. The pharmacist and well as the pharmacist manager are rude and they will hang up on the phone on you. They can care less what you have to say and will not listen. I recommend not going to this pharmacy. The are so many other pharmacy's with in the area. We will no longer send any of our patients here, and i inform others

They had what I needed, but lone cashier (7pm Tues.) was unpleasant. Paid for my two beverages, but realized as I was walking out of store that I had another large product tucked under my arm, which I could easily have walked out with. But I turned around, went back in to pay (and eventually did -- $2). But her reaction was nothing like it should have been, like "thanks for coming back" or "sorry I missed that". Like a zombie. Get rid of her. I like CVS as much -- more now.

My problem is with the pharmacy staff , cold and indifferent. You always sense an attitude. I don't need a lesson from one of your pharmacists as to why Rite Aid by police plaza closed. They closed because of all the criminality going on in New York. Unfortunately we're left with Duane reade.

Clean shop and stocked full of food on 2/18/2022. Was surprised by the large amount of food they sell, including frozen items, in addition to a very large beauty section. It's a convenient location near South Seaport.

Ic3 ic3 what happened to ic3? The lines are insanely long without reason. It’s all due to the lazy staff. I’ve seen the staff calling other employees to come open registers and the employees flat out say no. Chalk it all up to piss poor management. It takes 45 minutes to buy a pack of gum. Just makes absolutely no sense! I live upstairs so I’m at this location enough to know that it sucks! I’m writing this review as I stand online with a case of Heineken with 4 people in front of me, 6 people behind me, the line is spilling into the aisle and there is only 1 register open at 5:25 pm on a Tuesday. Retail 101 3 or more online you open additional registers, I’ve owned enough retail stores in my life to know it. You guys suck. The management should be ashamed of themselves!

doctor sent in a prescription for an antibiotic yesterday. i showed up today to pick it up, and was told by the pharmacist that they don't stock that item and will need to order out for it.what the actual f***, when the doctor orders something you pick it up so when the client shows up you have it, you don't wait for the person to arrive and tell them they need to wait a whole other day. But what do i know I"m just the one who wasn't able to get the medication I need

The staff at this Duane Reade are not knowledgeable in any way about current promotions or sales signs located in the store.There was an Indian woman who checked me out with a horrible attitude and when I tried to explain what the sign read vs what she charged me for, she told me that I had to purchase two of the exact same items in order to get the benefit of the promotion. This was not true - you had to buy two products from the same company / seller (e.g. nature made vitamins ... they could be differnt just need to be by the same company.Not only was she short and didn't listen but she passed me off to another associate who essentially knew nothing as well. As a result, I paid $20+ more than I needed to, since they couldn't figure out how to read and execute a sale.Definitely go to CVS or anywhere else.

Would not recommend the pharmacy. Forgot to give me one of my prescriptions and sent over all my prescriptions to another pharmacy and claimed they never had it when clearly my last bottle says I got it there. The male pharmacist was very polite however.

Horrible experience , as I was profiled for no apparent reason. The manager himself decided to follow me because he felt that I would steal. I could not shop in peace for this reason. Ended up walking out. Will NOT be returning here
