Unbelievably cute puppies. And not as crammed, and filthy, as many stores in Europe.There were spaces for the puppies to play outside their cages, and toys, as well as water and food.Prices aren't unlike in Europe, but I unfortunately have to agree with another review.. I don't think they are very happy there, for whatever reason.There was a huge crowd when I came, so maybe it was also the attention. And, of course, being locked in a cage is rarely fun.My first impulse would also be to adopt a dog from a shelter, but unfortunately, I want a Corgie sooner or later, and those are in such high demand that they are not usually found in shelters.So I came in to check and see what the prices are like in the US.I think, for an animal store, this is the best you can get- and it's certainly the best one I have seen so far.

These puppies are locked in small separate cages every night. And if they are lucky, they get to sit in a small box in the window during the day. I am not against breeding, but these pour things are clearly products of puppy mills. If you buy a dog from here, you you are feeding into a system that is abusive of the very creatures you love.I am not saying you need to adopt from a shelter. But please educate yourself on local breeders that raise their dogs in homes and are certified in the American Kennel Club.Not only will this route be more humane, but you will save yourself money both on your purchase and on the medical bills you will later have to pay.

It's been a month now since I got my bundle of joy. Her name is violet, she's a teacup yorkie. Citipups did weekly check ins to see how things where going. They provide emergency vet hospital services if needed. Gave great advice on training and more. They also provide first vet visit. This is a great buisness with compassionate employees. I would highly recommend getting your puppy from here.

It was super adorable inside. All the cute little puppies. The store is super clean, the staff is super friendly, but the number one thing that makes me happy. Was meeting Jeremy the cat. I couldn’t stop hugging and giving kisses to this cat. I have 8 cats at home so seeing him made me happy.I can’t wait to go again next year.

Look up puppy mills to understand where these poor babies come from. They’ll tell you they are from breeders but the truth is a real legitimate breeder would never sell a dog to these stores.There is an ethical and responsible choice: adopt, don’t shop!!!

Citi pups is a despicable business. When I inquired, they could not confirm where the puppies were from. In fact, they claim that their puppies come from all over the country which is a pathetic excuse - there are puppy mills all over the country. Further, they sell puppies like they are props. As I’m reading other comments I am appalled by the comments mentioning their puppies from CitiPups had significant illnesses and/or died prematurely because they were inhumanly bred. They should be ashamed they are selling these puppies and SUPPORTING PUPPY MILLS by PURCHASING these puppies from the puppy mills. Absolutely despicable. I wonder how business owners like this can sleep at night.

I adopted a puppy from Citipups this week and the staff have been completely wonderful. They walked me through all my puppy’s documents (purebred poodle), as well as his medical history, what food he should be eating, and any questions I had. They gave me an emergency number I can call 24/7 in case there is any concern or questions I might have. They connected me with a vet clinic in the city where we have our first appointment this week, and my puppy has been an absolute dream so far. Big thank you to Danielle for reaching out and checking on us to see how our first week together has been! The folks at citipups really care about their puppies, and I really appreciated the extra step to contact me and ask how things were going. Thank you, Citipups!

Just google puppy mills and you will see where this place sources their puppies from. No reputable breeder would sell their puppy to this place. Absolutely disgusting places like this are still in business. If you want a puppy please consider adopting or at least finding a reputable breeder.

The workers here were so rude. I asked a worker if I could take a pup out to play and they demanded to know if I was going to buy it. I confirmed I was looking to buy and a couple more workers chimed in asking if I was certain I was buying today and saying that I can't play with puppies for fun and that if I won't buy then I need to leave.I ended up just walking out after that because they made me uncomfortable. Very weird interaction considering I was looking to buy and even told them so. There was barely 3 customers and a bunch of workers in the store when I was went so it not like I could've been wasting their time.I went to the Chelsea location and was not treated this way. Would recommend going there if youre interested.

This establishment displays discriminatory behavior towards people of color. Despite purchasing three dogs from Citi Pups in Chelsea, we are treated differently based on our race when attempting to view dogs for sale. This undermines the purpose of the store, which is to sell dogs to all customers equally. WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS LOCATION AGAIN AND I HOPE THEY CAN GET NEW MANAGEMENT AT THIS LOCATION.

Wish I could say zero stars. PATHETIC excuse of a business. They use PUPPY MILL dogs and are exasperating our already overcrowded shelters and forcing good dogs to be put down all because they want to make a buck. These people don’t care at all about animals. SHOW ME WHERE THE SICK OR DISABLED ANIMALS GET PUT!

This place offers lack of space for the dogs, they all look upset. If I could give a 0 star I would. On top of that, we experienced blatant discrimination, racially and socially. Very clearly favoring the white upper class when asking for help, we were rudely disregarded.

This place has the cutest and healthiest Frenchies. This is the second Frenchie we get from Citipups. The staff is so nice and helpful. We are so in love with our little guy. Thank you for checking in on us.

What a hell-hole of a place. Puppies and adult sized dogs crammed into small cages, no water in their bowl. Just because they have nice lighting and a marble floor, don't be fooled by the outward appearance! I have heard so many horror stories about terminally ill pups being sold to unsuspecting customers. And not to mention that they are buying their Puppies from puppy mills where the parent dogs are kept in deplorable conditions, being forced to have litter after litter. What a disgusting, greedy industry. Anything to make a buck of innocent, sentient animals. These places all need to be shut down. Adopt from a reputable shelter or rescue instead! There are hundreds of thousands of awesome dogs euthanized in the US EVERY DAY.

About a month ago, I experienced the loss of my dog in a deeply traumatic way. My heart was heavy with grief as I walked home.That's when I stumbled into Citipups, a place I had hoped would help me find a glimmer of happiness amidst my despair. As I entered, a sales associate approached me, promising to have the "perfect" dog to heal my wounded spirit. Still tearful and not thinking clearly, I was ushered into a chair and introduced to an adorable puppy.In my fragile state, I didn't have the mental clarity to make a rational decision. The sales associate seemed eager to close the sale, rushing me into signing the paperwork with assurances that I could complete the payment the following day. At that moment, I should have realized it wasn't the right time to make such a significant commitment. I had explicitly shared that I had recently lost my dog, but this critical detail seemed to be disregarded.When I returned to pick up the puppy the next day, things took an even more troubling turn. The store was bustling with activity, and the sales associate who had initially assisted me was nowhere to be found. With a sense of dread, I took the puppy home, only to discover that she was displaying concerning symptoms, including coughing and signs of kennel cough. My immediate response was to provide her with care, but it became apparent that this puppy needed medical attention. I made the responsible decision to return her to Citipups.At that time, the store assured me that they would work out an appropriate solution regarding the full payment, given the circumstances. That was a month ago, and despite their assurances and promises, I have received neither a refund nor a courtesy call back from Citipups. My efforts to contact anyone from their corporate office have proven fruitless, as multiple inquiries submitted through their website remain unanswered.It deeply pains me to believe that during my weakest and most vulnerable moment, Citipups took advantage of my emotional state and neglected their commitment to make things right. I implore them to rectify this situation promptly and fairly, as it's a stark reminder that compassion, honesty, and integrity should be at the core of any business dealing with living beings, especially during times of profound grief.

If i can give 6 stars i would. The people were extremely helpful and know everything you need to know about your dogs! The prices are great and the dogs are the best you'll get in the city! If you want a dog i strongly recommend going to citipups and getting one The best dogs in all of New York!
