Yesterday my wife called L. L. Bean and spoke to a salesperson named Raymond who was incredibly empathetic and helpful.my wife was attempting to buy clothes for her mother who had purchased some items on their website a few years ago. Raymond did the research , found what my mother in law had ordered, picked out some clothing in her size and when we arrived at the store, my wife was thrilled with his good taste. Raymond wasn’t at the store today but I we really appreciated his great customer service! This is just one reason why L.L.Bean is a great place to shop. Their staff is AMAZINGLY HELPFUL! The store wasn’t packed with customers and they definitely had plenty of staff ready to help us.

We bought a jacket for my 5yr old 13 months ago. He’s 5 and wore it to death last winter and the beginning of this winter. The zipper was always a little hard to use. It stopped zipping. I was frustrated every time I zipped it up. My son couldn’t do it at all. I knew it was out of warranty so I called customer service. They said they could repair it but it would take 8 WEEKS! Dag. Can’t do that. They said to take it to my local store and ask to exchange or return it even though it’s out of warranty. Ok? Sure. So I went to the Yonkers store. They saw the jacket and how beat up it was. Of course they were hesitant to exchange or return it. I would be too. Najib, the manager on duty came and helped my wife. Even though he was hesitant (reasonably so, my kid isn’t easy on his clothing), Najib let us exchange it. I’m writing this review to show how good a company LL Bean is and how well they handle the grey areas of retail. He could have sent us on our way but he was calm, cool and really helped us out. I’m not a jerk who takes advantage of return policies like so many people do. It’s those folks who ruin it for the rest of us. The fellows at the Yonkers store were solid. Id happily have them on my staff and the Bean should be proud to have them at the Yonkers store helping families like mine sort through tough aspects of the retail relationship. Shop here. I had a wonderful experience at LL Bean today. Angel spent a generous amount a time with me to find the right items for my trip. She was truly knowledgeable and even assisted in ordering items that were not available in the store.

It is neat, clean, welcoming and off course great products with high quality for all seasons. One of my favorite store to buy. I have to acknowledge that the items are high ends products, and also are expensive but affordable. You will not find yourself with another person wearing the same clothing.

great outdoors store. a bit pricey, but they have quality products.it's more of a clothing and footwear store than an outdoors store, but they do have a decent , but somewhat limited supply of camping gear

I love this store but today I found it strange after I gave my bf number I get asked my last name hmmm never had this happen but Elle claimed it was if I wanted to return the jacket funny the person before didn't get asked for my last name want to say it's because black but. I hope not won't be going back when Elle is working the register ... not to mention the lDy tht kept offering to help me after I said no 3 times but hey I guess trying on jackets while on the phone looks crazy to ppl

Although the parking is a mess, that’s a Ridge Hill issue- not L.L. Bean’s. They have a nice store with a good men’s and women’s assortment. The home and dog offering was a little smaller than I was expecting compared to what’s online.

I love Llbean and when I found there is a store in NY I am so happy. But shopping in this store don’t expect welcoming Staff especially the older group. They need customer service training “Big time” Younger staff makes it a more relax environment. Ibeen coming here many many times buying there product. Never returned anything my first and I think its reasonable because my light down coat , feathers already popping out only 1 or 2 but more is coming out.? Need to show them as I was told by the unfriendly lady I spoke on the phone. Unfortunately she is theManager. Much worse in person very,very rude.I came with my dog and he barks … once and as she walk to the rack she said. I suggest you bring your dog outside!! Not theFirst time my dog came in this store. But this will be our last time to shop in this store. Makes your relaxing time to shop the worse!!

The store was well kept the staff adhered to CDC guidelines all while delivering first class customer service. They're very knowledgeable about the products. I like that you can browse without staff bothering you BUT if you're the type of shopper who will need a staff members help there to help

I got to say I had higher expectations for this place. They didn't have the waterproof low cut sneakers I was looking for in my size I had to wait a while for service in the shoe area. They brought out the incorrect model of certain shoes.I do miss the REI location that used to be here and I thought that this door could be a good alternative but perhaps I might just have to buy things online. 😩

Why does this store exist? I received my Winter catalog three weeks ago and they still didn't have sample In the store. I was looking to try in (and then buy) both flannel shirts as well as flannel-lined jackets ( one would think suitable in the last week of October). But they had neither in the store and weren't sure whether they would ever get them in. There was one semi-client oriented salesperson but everyone else in the empty store couldn't care less about my presence.

The atmosphere is incredible, the staff practically greets you at the door. Having gotten catalog over the years it's nicer to see display in a store. There should be more ll bean stores around the country

Online stated a tote was in stock in which it wasn’t. After driving 30 minutes, and learning it was not (I did not recieve any help, just walk to that tote wallsection…. The items I wanted was actually mixed in with the clothing racks and highlighted there) — first red flag. I decided to just go with a different gift item. Landed on two duffel bags and wanted the monogram customization. I was under the impression based on brief conversation with the two ladies at the cash wrap that monogramming was availble… as they discussed the process of purchasing first for customization. At the register an older male, appeared asked when I would need them by and when I replied later this evening, he stated there’s no way as they monogram individual was not scheduled to work. I kindly asked when would they be back, he sat there with the most unpleasant energy and utter lack of customer concern, and said “I don’t know”. Having worked in retail for years both high end and mom and pop, I would never say such thing. So I inquired, if corporate would know the scheduling, as I know monogramming is a staple for LLBean. He again replied snarky “corporate would not know, because we do our own scheduling— so I would have to look a the schedule. You are looking at 6 days or more if you want this done — and if you have an issue with scheduling, perhaps I should come manage the store.I was appalled. He may have some bias and racism bubbling in his veins— his energy was the absolute worse to me and talked down as if I was not able to comprehend what he was saying. I left without the items. I also do not see myself returning to that location.I understand there’s a shortage in employees but a customer inquiring and/or making purchases should never be made to feel like they are burden for asking and inquiring about a service that is no longer available after being told it was and driving to said location to recieve service. However I felt the most disrespected by his responses and negative/uninterested energy. I felt prompted to write this review to let people know, it’s probably best to just order your stuff online or find a different vendor. People will start to realize their behaviors can really effect a business and their customers.

LL Bean is nice, and they sell good quality products. I only visit here when I'm in the area. Mainly, because they can be a but expensive. I usually buy here when there's a sale. If you're looking for quality, and different products that will last ( a long time), then you might like this place.

Bought some shirts online but they weren't a good fit so we went to return and try other sizes in store. Everyone in the store was lovely, from the woman who processed our return, the other associates throughout the store to the cashier at the end when we were done. Especially Anna though who was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the different styles and helped us fine exactly what we needed while we shopped. We left happy and with what we needed.

People at the store are always very friendly and helpful. Merchandise is high quality (no surprise) and relatively easy to find. I do wish the prices were a bit lower, but the items I've bought so far seem to last a long time, so purchase with that in mind.Parking (shared in mall) does cost a few dollars and always a zoo and you can easily lose time here. Free parking doesn't exist from what I can tell.
