It is a nice little supermarket in Yonkers. It is well-stocked with alot of food, meat, vegetables, bread, potatoes, and fish. The staff is very friendly and always helpful if you need anything. A good place to shop!

Be sure to stop by this place, it's a little expensive but the food meats , fish ,vegetables are very fresh, the staff is very friendly and very helpful anytime I ask for something I don't see, this is one of my go to places for over 15 years

Love it, for three reasons.1. Convenient2. Clean3. Friendly StaffThis foodtown is small but has a very large selection. Obviously if you are used to a normal foodtown than this isn’t going to be that large of a selection. But it definitely has all the basics and some. Never too crowded.

So I go in and do a small shopping because my dad is in from Florida on vacation and he has this card that he can use anywhere that accepts it. The company says this location accepts the program. So we go and shop and also I had my wic card and I have those items. We get to the register and a man rings me up and I put my wic stuff through then when it’s my dads turn he says oh that has to be rang up at the customer service desk. Then he tells this woman the situation and she looks at us immediately and says they don’t accept it. Has an attitude about it and has no compassion about the situation or tries to call to verify just nothing. So anyways I go ok so we will leave the items but I need my wic items. So she tells the man to wait for her to do it (mind u it’s a line and he could’ve rang it up himself). So 15 minutes later I’m frustrated and I ask if he can do it because she’s just ignoring me. Then she says ok but just the wic items like I’m a steal the other items!!! She was very rude and needs to learn how to treat customers. Just because I have wic don’t mean I’m beneath her because I have a job as well. We are no different and she needs to understand she is lucky she has that job and nothing is permanent!!!!

This is a small store but well stocked and clean. Cashier was polite. The only downside was when I needed help locating a sale item it took a long time to find help. When I did, he just said " we must not have anymore". Another worker had earphones in and I guess he couldn't hear me cause he kept walking right past me as I tried asking him for help. This is a great store for this local neighborhood though and I'll be shopping there again.

Store is always clean, staff is friendly and helpful. The "Express" means it's smaller than an average Foodtown, but it takes care of all your basic needs.

It's good to go for very basic essentials. I don't like that they do not honor the signs they put up. The manager (I'm assuming she was the manager with how she was speaking and how rude she was) had a sign up that said buy one get one free with a specific brand of chips, however, she said that I should have known that the sign meant it was a specific bag of chip, not the brand and she wasn't honoring the sign that was up. Because of principal, this was a huge problem for me. I try not to go in there unless absolutely necessary.

The quality of the large variety of products , is only out weighed by the Staff at Foodtown on Palisaide Avenue in Yonkers. I have been shopping here for 5 years and prior to that I shopped at the Lake Avenue location. I’ve come to know most ,if not all, of the employees. Some by name ,others by a nickname. The people that work both inside and outside the facility are the nicest people I’ve come to know. They are always pleasant,polite, personable and demonstrate “ team” work. I actually have fun when I’m there. Although age and other characteristics vary ,they all have one thing in common, a cheerful disposition . Always a “ hello” a smile ,a wave or a gesture is to be expected. The staff should be commended for the work they do ,the store itself is well managed and staffed. But the outside of the store ,especially in the back ,is kept immaculate. I appreciate all they do, Every day. I refer to them as my friends and want them to know they are really great. I know the owner ( or owners) of Foodtown would like to know how much the staff does for the store and the neighborhood. And they are a wonderful group of people. So, I thank them and want them to know how much they are appreciated.

Maybe ya should give customer service class to the lady/man who serves at the deli.I went in, my first time there mind you. Straight to the deli said Good morning, nothing was ever said in return. Was askedWhat I wantedTold her then he or she asked what else?Really that’s how you talk to everyone?Just because of her or him, couldn’t really tell, I won’t go back. Horrible customer service.

dishonest they don't put the right prices on the register or sale items are never entered into the system...I always have price discrepancies in all the foodtown stores. They always have to give me a refund or change item price if I catch it ontime. Then they seem bothered. Terrible chain of stores.

Fantastic beer selection and good deli counter with great pre-made foods. Small, well stocked. I'd love to see more organic and vegan food, but it has a good selection overall and is super convenient.

Amazing beer selection, friendly staff and reasonable pricesEdit, after moving out of the area, I've really come to take this place for granted. They have excellent meat compared to your local Stop and Shop, even Fairway.Really bummed I left :(

Great neighborhood supermarket. I really dislike big crowded supermarkets where you can spend all day looking for stuff and waiting to check out. Here everything is in arms reach, they have the best prices and friendliest staff. I also love the fact that I can walk here, pick up something and walk back home. Not many Americans can say that in 2017.

This is only a small store but is great for your last minute quick stops. It obviously does not have the selection of fresh fruits and vegetables that you would find at the bigger full service stores. However you will find friendly helpful familiar faces that will do their best to help you. They also have a small deli for fresh meats and salads.

This location has a terrible parking lot. (Only about 6-8 actual parking spaces) and its extremely cramped. Inside is somewhat dirty and a poor product selection. The sign out front has their hours of operation on it, but they close whenever the feel like it. They have an employee there that acts as a security guard, he will only be pleasant to you if you are Spanish. He will only follow around non-Spanish people and if you say hello to him he will actually get offended. I recommend the newer Foodtown in Hastings, cleaner, better stocked, and friendly people there.

A good local grocery store on Lake Avenue in Yonkers. A good selection of prepared foods. A very nice selection of fresh breads and produce. For a neighborhood grocery store it makes an effort to have the ethnic items needed my members of the community. Friendly workers. Nice deli section too.

Great little store with myriad oddities to keep the belly full and the house clean. Nice beer selection. But no scissors? They have school supplies but no scissors -- a 1 point deduction.

Small neighborhood grocery store with a surprisingly good & eclectic beer selection. They'll probably have at least one of whatever you're likely to be looking for. Produce section is somewhat limited due to space but they keep it pretty fresh. Traffic jams in the aisles are common but the checkout process moves efficiently. They can't compete with the big chains but I'll usually stop in once or twice a week for something that I'd forgotten or just ran out of.

The cold cuts are good but the prices are high. And they don't have everything you need there. I went there to buy a pie crust mix for my Apple pie but I ended up having to go all the way to Hastings to get some.

Nice store very clean but a little priceyunfortunately I bought some items that tags on the shelf and said they were on sale a dollar or two off just when I get home look at my receipt full price full price cost me 11 extra dollars for no reason on items supposed to be on sale

Horrible!!! I cannot possibly count how many times I drove here FOR NOTHING: they close whenever they feel like... The schedule on their door and online never applies. They fixed it alright : no more schedule at the entrance. Go on your own risk... And then end up buying from the Deli on the corner. Horrible.
