I just moved to the area a week ago and I'm still getting settled... of course that doesn't mean life stops. My doggy started coughing and they were concerned at daycare. I hadn't established a new vet yet but needed to take him somewhere asap. 4 Paws got me in within a couple hours. Everyone there was amazing and the facility is very clean. I'm looking forward to continuing to do business with them.

Back in January I rescued a kitten. They answered all my questions, teach me how to cut her claws, treat Binx with love and respect. They always on time and even remember us each visit. Next week we will leave Binx boarding at the vet hopefully the great experience continues.

This office is incredible. We used to go to a different veterinarian, but we recently moved back to Averill Park. By somewhat of a surprise, my elderly beagle woke up with health issues and had to be put to sleep. I knew we wouldn’t make it to our other vet’s office in time. I had never even had a pet that was a patient at 4 Paws. Despite this, when I called in a panic at our emergency situation, they advised me to bring my dog in asap and they would fit her in/move appointments. They explained all of our options, costs, possibility of treatments, percentage of a successful outcome, etc. They were extremely patient with us and let me sit in our room as long as I needed to make a decision, knowing that we had never even been patients there and were complete strangers to the practice. They did not rush me or make me feel like I needed to leave to open up the room for the other patients waiting for their appointments. They were sensitive to the situation and beyond caring both for their animal patients, as well as their owners. I didn’t have time to bring my one-year-old anywhere before going to the office, because my dog was suffering so badly, so I had to bring my daughter with me. The 4 Paws staff brought in one of those big activity cube toys for my daughter to keep her occupied. They also had front office staff watch her as I stayed in the room with my dog being put to sleep. I received a sympathy card a couple weeks later, signed by a bunch of the staff. 4 Paws went above and beyond to make one of the worst experiences as a pet owner bearable. For that, I thank them all a hundred times over. I hope they are accepting new patients, because I’d love for my other dog to be seen there. If they are, I won’t ever go to another practice. I highly recommend them to anyone reading this review. Thank you again to all of the 4 Paws staff for everything you did for us 🙏💕

This past June I had to put my childhood cat of 21 years down and about 2 weeks ago I had to put my 14 year old husky down, which was very unexpected. Dr. Cook and her staff made the whole process so much easier. Kind, consoling, patient and compassionate. The nurses went above and beyond to keep my fur babies comfortable until the end. Losing a pet is never easy, especially losing two within 5 months of each other…After the passing of both my fur babies, Dr. Cook and her entire team had sent me a signed card with a little note back in June and this past month. I’m truly grateful for Dr. Cook and her entire team.

Visiting the area and needed an urgent vet visit, this place was great with a same day appt, very grateful. I have an older cat. I recommend if there are no other options, they have a decent sized vet office which is really nice - however, I found they were rough with handling my cat, and she was very upset, scared and wanted to go quickly. I also found that the desk staff were rude at times and the vet was quick to write us off, lacking patience when asking questions. The office smelled and was not clean. There are definitely worse vets but I won’t return, I found a better vet who handled my cat with a lot of care, she walked out totally ok and happy. See what works best for your needs and ask a lot of questions. I gave 3 stars for the same day appt.

Absolutely fantastic first visit. Dr. Cook answered all of our questions and made sure my boy had everything he needs. I was able to have a small tour of their facility. It was very clean and I appreciated the extra time they spent with us. I’m looking forward to bringing my other dog in because they had such excellent care.Update: I just took my second dog into them and the visit was phenomenal. She struggles with new people but Dr. Cook and her techs did a wonderful job making sure Meg was comfortable during her exam. They are very knowledgeable and have absolutely wonderful care. This is one of the best facilities I’ve ever been to. All of the staff members have been extremely helpful and accommodating.

Brought our little pup willow for her first visit. she loved it and everyone she came I. Contact with. The were kind and professional answered questions and provided the best recommendations for a new puppy owner. Dr. Cook called to follow up two days later to see if we had anymore question. This was the best experience.

Worked here back in my senior year and was let go for no clear reason, on top of that when we had initially brought my dog here years prior when he was a puppy and she told my parents he was too fat for a puppy and needed to be on a diet and also tried to push other unnecessary products onto us for him. If I could give no stars I would, this place is horrible to work for and has no respect or even aware of who works for her and couldn’t be bothered to tell me not to come back herself she had her office manger do it for her.

Today was our very first trip to this facility. I'm impressed and extremely pleased. The doctor not only called me to go over the visit but she came out to introduce herself. A picture was sent to me via text of my fur baby while in there :) I forgot what this lovely womans name is but she was so nice and helpful. I am so happy this place was recommended to me. I do not get the impression that it's a money can at all which is really important to me. Glad to have found our new veterinary office :)Thank y'all for caring about what you do cause it definitely shows ♥️

We've been bringing our dogs here for a while. I have caught employees there peaking around corners to look at the dogs coming in with smiles on their faces. Very much an air of loving animals.We said goodbye to one of our dogs at 4 paws. They did everything to make her comfortable and make the process easy. A whole lot of techs from the back came out to see her off. She was dumb as a brick but undeniably cute and very popular with the staff. It meant a lot to us to see how much they really cared about her.

We had to have our dog put down on Father's day. We were not currently seeing Dr. Wiggins but her office was open and she was able to help us. It was harder then I thought to have to do. But her staff made the whole process so much easier. Kind, consoling, and so helpful in the whole process. The nurse went above and beyond to be helpful and caring. The 4 paws staff is very professional. So they will take the best care of your animals. You can always discuss the treatment options with her and her staff. I have had many interactions with Dr.Wiggins and her staff since and they are the best people. Thank you!

I have been with 4 Paws since 2021 when my kitty Jenna started to have oral pain and wasn't eating. Dr. Cook was very attentive and answered all my questions as we pursued diagnoses for Jenna. Between referrals for oral cancer biopsy and providing palliative care options, Dr. Cook was there for me in one of the hardest times. I am so appreciative of the love and care they showed Jenna, and the empathy shared with me as I had to make some hard decisions for end of life arrangements for Jenna. The office sent me a kind card in the mail, and even had a tree planted in a national forest to commemorate Jenna.When Jenna sent me my guardian angel Penny through Animal Lovers Rescue, I knew that I would be continuing to see 4 Paws, Dr. Cook, and Dr. Wiggins for the care of my sweet girl. I am forever grateful and can not recommend them enough!

4 Paws has taken great care of my dogs and cats. Currently Harry my 16 year old cat is getting subcutaneous fluids once a week to support his health. He always feels better after getting the fluids. Everybody at 4 Paws loves Harry.

Amazing clinic with even more amazing people!!! I recently rescued a cat that was abandoned and locked in a filthy basement, and brought him here to make sure he was healthy and to get his limp looked at. Instantly, he fell in love with every person that came in to visit us. Dr Cook and her team had him purring non-stop, and throughout his exam he was so calm I couldn’t believe it. He went from hiding every time he heard a pin drop, to waiting by the door, excited for the next person to come! They understood that due to this rescue being a last minute surprise for me, that finances would be a trouble. They worked out the perfect care plan for us, addressing everything my boy would need in a cost effective way, and sent him home ready for him to start a normal life. I can’t recommend them enough, and will be taking all my animals here in the future! <3

I've taken my dog, Benny, to 4 Paws for over 4 years, and completely trust their care. When Benny twisted his back, Dr. White took time not only to treat him, but taught me about the remedies, and the choices I had in his treatments. The vet REFUSED to see my 30 pound adult dog unless he was given Trazadone AND didn’t tell us until we pulled in for the appointment. Not only do I expect better service, but I expect better training. My dog has NEVER shown any aggressive tendencies and he doesn’t even bark. If they can’t handle a fluffy little Pomeranian, they don’t deserve to continue practicing veterinary care. Clearly, they are more interested in the deal they have with the pharmacy company than the pets we are bringing in. Trazadone isn’t even FDA approved for dogs. If you look it up, it actually makes them MORE SICK. But, then again, why do they care? The sicker our pets are, the more money they make. DISGUSTING!

We boarded our 5 year old mixed breed a few weeks ago for the first time. I am so impressed with everything about 4 Paws. Super friendly staff and very clean. I’m so impressed by this site! I brought my cat in today as a new patient who also was having some eye and ear issues. They were kind and thorough, and also just so competent. They were communicative about the plan of care and why they were doing what they were doing. They made sure my pet was comfortable. Of course this was the first visit, but I’ll be bringing my other pets here in the future.

Maybe you can find just as great or greater than Dr. Wiggins and all staff. I am not interested in finding out, because SHE IS THE BEST. I have had enough years with Vets to know a rare gem when I meet one and her staff is a clear reflection of Dr. Wiggins essence, her deep love and commitment to our pets, her customer service expertise and every other little..and big detail that goes into creating the 4 Paws services. As authentic as it gets. Dr. Wiggins and support staff are as real as it gets. If you deeply care about your pet, you must experience the 4 Paws care team!!!! I don't do reviews. I simply don't. I cannot be bothered and I am typically underwhelmed and disappointed by most ...NOT so with Dr. Wiggins. I was compelled to write this. Do your self and pet a great favor. What a great experience! When you pull up you park in numbered spots with signs. You text to check in. Sam (a real person who is friendly and professional) send you a text back. A tech will come and gently take your pet, (I believe Meghan was her name, again she was very sweet and professional) The vets assistant will call you to get background information and an idea of whatever is going on. Then your vet comes out (we had Dr.Cook she’s fantastic! ) she explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions, addressing all of my concerns. All while standing in 35degree weather and never making us feel rushed. The compassion, understanding, care and how friendly all the staff is really makes such a difference. Unlike other vets in the past Ididn’t feel pressured to do what I thought was wrong, I wasn’t made to feel bad for not doing something outside of what I could afford. We came for a second opinion on our elderly small dog. We thought we only had 2 options. Hundreds of dollars in pills every month that made our girl so unhappy or the worst case of putting her down. She is in much better shape than we thought, we have a plan we can manage and she’s happier for it, the whole experience,amazing service from all the staff. I’d highly recommend! I also love how they appreciate my girl’s personality. They call her spicy and from now on that’s what we will say to describe her. First time ever she isn’t trembling and mad at me leaving the vet!

Horrible customer service. Called to get some prices for my pet and was belittled by the receptionist. I have never been there before so had questions. She was nasty on the phone and was not helpful at all! Instead of putting me on hold because she was assisting someone else, she insisted on texting me and got loud when I said I would prefer a phone call. I called for a reason and had several questions! Horrible first impression. Do NOT recommend! I run a company for a living and treating customers that way is completely out of line.This is in response to your response.Jamie, the way you perceived our conversation is completely bias on your part. Your job as a manager is to listen to your customers. We can go back and forth all day, but your response is inaccurate, and you should be more professional when talking with customers. Hopefully, you will learn from this experience.

Dr. Wiggins has been my dog's Vet since she was a puppy. She is soon to be 16 with arthritis and chronic kidney disease, we've had numerous soft tissue injuries so we have spent more than our fair share of time with the Vet! The team at 4Paws has always been extremely helpful and just wonderful to my dog. She has always received excellent care. The staff is professional and always makes the stress of bringing a sick pet in for care a little bit more relaxed. I recommend them highly!
