We had a very lovely stay at the Herwood Inn which is in short walking distance to everything Woodstock has to offer. We stayed at the Mitchell Manor, a cozy cottage separated from the main house, that had everything you could wish for; including a nice Birthday surprise from the owners for my partner who were not just very responsive throughout the booking process but also checked in regularly during our stay to make sure we feel comfortable! A cozy bed, comfortable sheets, plush towels, and a private fenced patio rounded up the wonderful staying experience in the Mitchell Manor.The accommodation, as well as the entire property, is in impeccable condition and you can really tell how much love and thought was put into the overall design and setup; such as the stylish common area with hot tub or the record player inside the room with some nice classics to get you into the spirit of Woodstock’s history. The Inn only has four rooms, making your stay feel private and more intimate, especially valuable for those who also seek some relaxation while enjoying the beautiful nature in the Hudson Valley.We will definitely visit Woodstock again and will also definitely choose the Herwood Inn for our next trip. I booked our stay at The Herwood Inn for our annual December visit to Woodstock because of the rave reviews – and I’m so glad I did!The Mitchell Manor was a perfect little cottage for our three-night getaway – truly a gem! The tasteful design combined with a record player, lots of games, and the *most* comfortable bed helped make Mitchell Manor feel like home. We also had a lovely private backyard that was perfect for hanging outside!The common outdoor patio was a nice space to relax – there we had access to the hot tub, fire pit, sleds & pergola with patio furniture. We didn’t get a chance to hop in the hot tub, but others staying at the Inn said it was amazing! The Commune + Shop came in handy a few times when we wanted a little snack or beverage late at night.We loved our little walks into town for food, drinks, shopping, and admiring the lovely holiday decorations flowing through town. Adam + Carmen were so kind and helpful, responding quickly to all our questions.We can’t wait to return to Woodstock & highly recommend The Herwood Inn for your stay!

This place is the perfect stay in Woodstock! My partner and I have been to Woodstock every couple of years and the herwood inn truly is a gem. Walking distance from the town but far enough away that it was quiet. I loved the little store they had on site with drinks, snacks and local items! We enjoyed the hot tub and our room had an amazing backyard. Looking forward to staying again!

My partner and I only stayed in the King Suite for 1 night but we are eager to return to the Herwood Inn! The suite was very clean, adorably decorated and had great amenities! Super comfortable bed with luxurious linens and a claw foot tub were highlights. It’s conveniently located and we could walk to concert venue (Colony) we had come to Woodstock for as well as the many shops and restaurants on Tinker St. Easy check in/check out. Can’t wait to go back and stay longer!

Super super cute. We stayed at nick’s nook and we loved it. The place is well stocked and functional. It really sets the vibe for your Woodstock stay. I liked that they incorporated a lot of local products in their inn that you can decide to purchase if you want at the Commons. #supportlocalbusinesss The shared spaces are really nice too. There’s a hot tub and bikes that you can use. We tried a few times but didn’t get to heat up the hot tub in time before quiet hour so plan your hot tub time early!!

I can’t say enough about The Herwood Inn. I planned a trip to Woodstock for my Partner and I and was planning to propose that weekend. The Herwood Inn crew went above and beyond to make the weekend special - entertaining question after question, recommending tons of great spots in town, helping come up with a proposal Plan B when it started pouring day of, and gifting us a celebratory champagne when she said yes. Beyond the top tier service, the space is adorable and well curated. It felt fun and homey yet still lux. Every want or need seems to have been thought of in the design choices; tons and tons of games for rainy days, music, an iPad with recommendations, information, robes, ample access to necessities, and more. The common outdoor space and chic small shop round out the east and fun experience. We will definitely be back.

Clean and charming design.I like clean and this place is new and super clean in 2022. The design is kitch modern with a small '50s refrigerator and a record player that works. The bed and bedding are luxurious. The shower is modern, and the room with its kitchenette is well appointed with kitchen hardware from knives, spoons cups, and glasses. Just bring wine or something to pour, and you are all set.Management is on hand and ready to help you stay private and happy. They value your privacy hereI stayed in the Mitchell Inn, which has a private backyard to sit with only your friends. There is also a community courtyard that houses a hot tub and access to free bicycles. There is easy parking on the property.You won't need to drive to the main areas or restaurants of Woodstock as it's literally down the block from this charming boutique hotel. Go visit, and I hope you get to meet the fur baby of the owners... Kitty (I am not a cat!)

My husband and I spent our 1 year wedding anniversary at the Herwood Inn, and what a wonderful time we had! We chose one of their pet-friendly rooms - Mitchell Manor, so that our pup could come along for the trip as well. This place is super cute and homey, and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed! From the eye catching decor, the record player and games in the room, fully stocked kitchenette, and iPad with helpful info about Woodstock, we had everything we needed! And the Shed was the perfect hangout spot after a long day of exploring the area. The Herwood Inn is a true gem!

This place was wonderful. Every detail had been thought out and the aesthetic was beautiful, but not fussy. Towels, sheets, mattress were all of top quality. The efficiency kitchen was outfitted with just the right stuff, and there were two sizes of ice cubes in the freezer! The hot tub was divine! The location central and an easy walk to all the Woodstock has to offer. GREAT place, I can't recommend it enough!

Stayed here a month ago. It was such a refreshing trip. It is located along the strip of all the stores and food places! The bed? The best sleep ever!! The Kitchenette had everything needed. The space was clean and set up beautifully. The only thing I would say could've been improved is that there was no iron, only one washcloth, and the hot tub wasn't clean. I would definitely recommend this place to others and would stay here again.

We stayed here for a little mini-moon after our wedding in Roxbury, and it was the perfect little spot. We loved having a kitchen so we could make breakfast, and on the Monday evening we had the entire place to ourselves, so we put a fire together and relaxed in the common space. We loved all the details in our room and the comfortable bed and linens. Can't wait to come back!

This was our first trip to Woodstock, and we were so happy that we chose The Herwood Inn to stay. From my first inquiry, to quick to our checkout, communication with the lovely owners, Em and June, was seamless. The Inn was perfectly located within walking distance to town, but secluded enough that we had a quiet haven to return to. The studio cabin was meticulously decorated with every detail thought of, including an essential oil diffuser, lovely linens, bathrobes, and a record player with a great vinyl selection! The Inn was clean, comfortable and spacious, with more than enough room for my husband and I and our dog. There was a basket complete with hand sanitizer, wipes, and masks upon entering the room, and check-in and out were contactless. There was a lovely fenced-in area, as well as a beautiful “common” courtyard with a hot tub and fire pit, lots of seating. Although we didn’t get to use the hot tub, it looked very inviting! We can’t wait to return, and high recommend the Herwood Inn if you are traveling to the area. What a fun place!! Thank you Em and June!!

We stayed in the Mitchell Manor at The Herwood Inn for 2 nights. First off, the interior of Mitchell Manor was beyond charming. Every little detail was incredibly well thought out. The property itself is incredibly unique and stunning. We had access to the hot tub, an outdoor entertainment set up, and a chiminea - all of which we took advantage of and loved. The inn is also conveniently located on the main drag, which made everything on Tinker Street walking accessible. Finally, the hosts Adam and Carmen were incredibly receptive to our feedback and made excellent recommendations on all Woodstock has to offer. Herwood Inn was the perfect escape. We brought our fur baby and they were able to accommodate for her as well.Very clean. State of the art appliances were at reach. Everything from the stove range, toaster oven, and dish washer worked efficiently. We loved the iPad in the room and the availability to reach out to the owners when needed. The community area was spread out just enough to allow for social distancing.Parking was convenient. Self locking doors was nice too. Not having to tote around a room key was a plus! Its was convenient to be so close to the village of Woodstock and walk to our restaurants.I highly recommend this beautiful, well kept little gem.Our dog loved it too!

I can not begin to explain how perfect the Herwood Inn is. My wife and I stayed for a long weekend in The King Suite, and it was nothing short of excellent. The owners have thought of *literally* everything you might need for your stay! The bed was one of the most comfortable things I've ever slept on, and the added white noise machine led to one of the best night sleeps I've ever had. I've also been on the hunt for the cute and insanely comfortable sleeper couch in the living room, which we pulled out for a movie night!

We stayed in Nick's Nook and I can't tell you how much I loved this place. It's super clean and has all the amenities in the room from super soft towels to full kitchenette to board games and records with a working record player. It was hard to want to leave the inn.We also used the hot tub and it was just lovely. They also have bikes to rent out of the inn as well for free. It's a quick walk to downtown Woodstock so it's easy to get to most restaurants on foot.

I had the opportunity to stay at this wonderfully decorated and thoughtfully curated Inn in Woodstock. The property is welcoming and gives you an instant nostalgia of arriving at THE hangout spot in town. The rooms are meticulously designed, with all the best amenities you could dream of. Its the type of place you arrive and wish you lived there. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the individual terraces are the perfect place to sip coffee, tea, or local elixirs and beverages the Herwood Inn provides. The owners thought of everything, and make you feel warmly welcomed to the eclectic town of Woodstock. Cannot wait to bring friends back and visit again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Herwood Inn in early February and it was absolutely amazing. We were in the "Nicks Nook" and it had everything you could possibly want or need. The amenities were gorgeous, obviously taken care of with lots of love. They had great recommendations for places to go in town. Definitely walkable to the main part of town. Super easy access and parking. Also, there's a Cedar tub. It's AMAZING. Even in the "off-season" stores and restaurants were open and very good! Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay at the Herwood Inn. We stayed in Mitchell Manor. Everything was clean and set up very nicely! You could tell they pay attention to detail there, and all of the amenities were wonderful. Though we didn't use it, the in room iPad concierge was a great idea and everything about the place made you feel it was a home away from home. Will definitely stay again if back in the area.

Our stay was honestly the best I’ve had in years. This place is EXACTLY what you want when you’re coming to Woodstock. It’s laid back, cute, spotlessly clean, and has a very spiritual/hippie vibe. I was able to fully embrace my inner flower child in our little rock-themed room. Also, our microwave was shaped like a little mini TV. It was the coolest appliance I have ever seen. The property is the perfect walking distance to town, right on the main drag that takes you into the heart of the shops and restaurants. Can’t wait to go back!

June and Emily have created the perfect, most comforting, most beautiful environment for a relaxing getaway, a creative weekend, or anything else you could possibly want to do! My stay at the Herwood Inn was everything and more, I’ve never felt more at home while away from home. My husband and I went to Woodstock last, and had a great experience.However, this year , staying at the white dove rockotel, made our Woodstock experience 100 times better. It was everything I hoped it would be and so much more. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in decorated so awesomely, and was super clean. Our group of 4 stayed one night in the Are You Experienced Suite and loved it. It was more than large enough to accommodate all of us. We were all pleasantly surprised with the way the suite looked, from the layout to the decorations and aesthetic. Everything just felt cozy and comfortable, and we all felt at home. There was an impressive assortment of tech. Of note was the easy to use ceiling-mounted projector and the Bluetooth ready sound bar. My complaints are small. The major annoyance was the wifi not being discoverable on the provided Roku even though everyone's phones and laptops worked with it just fine.
